I had registered on my myturn.ca.gov but they took my mom as a walk in so that was very accommodating of them. A Yelp check in also got me a 50% off deal on certain vitamin supplements. I also found a non medical hand exerciser that was star shaped - it's helpful for those with carpal tunnel type injuries to strengthen the arm and hand muscles. Mandatory 15 minutes observation and we were free to leave. Lots of parking, it's located almost across the ice skating rink and right next to a Benjamin Moore painting distributor. Many customers came in to pick up medication prescriptions, so I'm confident they will fill most private insurance. Secure location is a plus because these days, many druggies seek out and rob pharmacy businesses. Staffed by at least three pharmacists and two technicians, which is better ratio than some hospital pharmacies. read more

Facts: I am leaving on an international trip early AM on Tuesday Nov. 23 I called the pharmacy in advance on Friday November 12th and confirmed they were going to contact my doctor for an early refill authorization. I was on the phone for 10 minutes explaining my situation to two different staff. I informed the doctor's office on Monday November 15th and had gotten the approval. Called the pharmacy on Friday November 19th and was told by the pharmacist, she had never "seen" this request (which is a bs technicality of course - and my request was swept under the rug) Arrived at the pharmacy on Saturday November 20th and was told by the pharmacist they had contacted my doctor. Called the doctor on Monday November 22nd and was told the pharmacy never contacted him. Went to the pharmacy on Monday November 22nd, who then FINALLY called the doctor's office and found out the approval had been sent to the wrong pharmacy. After jumping through all the hoops again I went back to the pharmacy and was yelled at by this same pharmacist .. I said sorry .. but before I could finished .. the conversation was finished with an "OKAYYY?!?".. what I wanted to say was if the pharmacist or staff had not sat on this for a week and a half, maybe I wouldn't need to go through all that back and forth and everyone would be spared a headache. Opinion: Long story short, due to the ineptitude and lack of customer service, I am now short of time to get necessary medication. I have an early morning flight, and this all could have been avoided if action was taken sooner by the pharmacy. What I got instead was power plays and games. read more

Loved my COVID shot. Will protect me for life! Customer service was excellent and everyone was really friendly. Went during the late morning so it wasn't packed at all. Quickly got a shot after checking in and then just had to wait 15 minutes to make sure there wasn't any reactions. I then went on my merry way! read more

I brought my elderly parents here to get their second dose of COVID-19 vaccine. Everyone we encountered was very nice, professional, efficient, knowledgeable and they all took the necessary safety precautions to keep us safe. Because my parents sometimes have trouble walking and are also immunocompromised, the pharmacist was nice enough to come out to the car and administer the vaccinations. If I could give the new management zero stars I would. Ever since Stan sold the business this place has been dive bombing and slowly dying. Magically all prescription prices go up, they're never in stock so you waste your time showing up to be told to come back the next day. I'm officially done and moving to CVS. This place has zero customer service skill anymore and the family medicine shop we use to know and love is sadly gone. I received my Moderna Booster at Medicine Shoppe in November 2021. I was quickly helped by friendly staff. There was plenty of space to sit and the wait time was within reason. I would definitely recommend this LOCAL and easy to access pharmacy for all your vaccine needs. Medicine Shoppe also came to our Senior Community and held a Vaccination Clinic for our staff members. Came in to get my booster! I went in the morning and was welcomed with a smile and amazing fast customer service. They're very knowledgable and made sure I was aware of what to expect to come with my booster. What stood out to me is that, out of the three times I got my vaccine (this being my third time), they're the first people doctors to introduce themselves beforehand! This pharmacy is the pinnacle of ignorance in Los Angeles ! I called and spoke w a man professing to be the pharmacist. He checked the information given with their system and confirmed they had the medication in stock. I proceeded to have my doctor call in a script to this place. When I followed up a mere 15 minutes after my initial call I am told they are out of stock. This is the pinnacle of laziness and ignorance. Why have me jump through hoops and bother my doctor when the meds are not in stock. My entire purpose of checking in the first place was to avoid exactly this waste of time for everyone concerned. I have spoken with numerous pharmacies in the past 3 weeks due to supply chain problems but NONE acted as callous as these guys. Other pharmacists would either not give an answer due to HIPPA or explain they are out of stock. If its a language barrier thing or a cognitive dissonance I am sure there are other jobs this pharmacist can perform in that store. If this were a typical retail business it wouldn't matter, but here we are dealing with medication. What a let-down. That's what makes this so infuriating. If it were possible to give zero, it would be given. This place sucks; they can't keep appointments and they are in their high horse. Their front desk (the two "tough guys) staff removes their face mask even tho there are 3 variants; they seem to think they're immune and can't get other people sick. Honestly there are thousands of other places to get vaccines and this place doesn't care if you go there. They aren't sanitary at all. They don't care about your health. I was a little nervous getting my covid 19 shot with all the confusion as when to go and who is allowed to receive it, but my worries were quickly but to sleep when I had a discussion with one of the staff. Her name was Jacqueline Park ( I asked) . She is a complete professional and was extremely informative. Thanks to her I was able to receive my shot quickly and the process was pretty painless. I was just here for the second dose of the COVID vaccine and both the first and second time the staff did not even acknowledge me being there they don't say hello or are even polite at the least it really seems like they are unhappy being there! After getting the vaccine which seems the girls injecting here are trainees it was like I was not there nobody checked in or asked how am I feeling no eye contact from staff, I had to let them know I am leaving and lady with glasses behind the computer did not seem like she cared just said "ok" with a irritated face and continued to work. I love the service and friendly staff this place offers! I have never felt treated as I belonged in a vaccination center ever before. These hard-working dedicated people have helped me and my family today as we all went to get tested for covid-19! I have been to several testing centers and all of them were unorganized and wait time for our results took us an hour but the service, I received today from this company was spectacular! Waited 2 days for my sons prescription to be filled with no phone calls. Pharmacist called me at 5:50 to let me know it was ready. When I asked if they would be able to wait two minutes for my husband to rush there (his arrival time would've been 6:02) they refused. My 9 month old son is sick and out of his meds. I really have to give two thumbs up to this pharmacy. Stan has been our pharmacist for many years now and I really commend him and his staff for customer service. My wife and I went to the doctor which they submitted an electronic prescription. About 15 minutes later after we had left the office, I get a call from Stan summarizing my prescription. That's great service. You don't see too many places that knows you on a first name basis and that's great about this pharmacy. My only suggestion would be to close slightly later at 6:30PM. I've always had issues getting my prescriptions because the store would be closed by the time I arrive at 6:15. read more

My wife tried to get a prescription filled at CVS, as it wasn't covered by insurance, the cost was going to be $300. Her Dr. recommended The Medicine Shoppe. They called in the prescription, and within an hour the pharmacist himself called her back and said it was ready. She went down and the cost was only $60 for the same prescription.
