This is a GREAT drugstore! The service here is above and beyond. The pharmacy is well-stocked and the staff can and are willing to answer any question you have about medications and prescriptions. Jolly helped me get coverage for my Mom under the Medicare drug plan. The manager is so very friendly and helpful, and the store has a wide variety of products, from Hallmark cards to toothpaste. Parking can be a bit of a problem, but otherwise it comes with the highest recommendation. read more

This Walgreens is around the corner so I end up coming here a lot. I actually was out wasting time while I waited for another store to open. I came here looking for some very specific makeup products and I was just at CVS. Their selection of the products I was looking for really sucked, they barely had any of it in stock, but I assumed that much because from all the reviews and research I've done about these products, it's not just me who is out on the hunt for them. Where to begin! I was a Kaiser patient so never had to use an outside pharmacy. Got a job that did not offer Kaiser so switched and had to find a pharmacy.. Choose Walgreens because it was convenient as I work in the same complex as Walgreens. It has been a nightmare... My prescription is never ready when I go to pick it up. The funny thing is they have a service that you can call to refill the RX and then they even ask you what time you wan to pick it up.. I call in at 8:00 tell them I want to pick up at 12:00 my lunch.. I get there and it is not ready... I stand in line, oh did I forget to mention they always have a huge line..just to hear, "Oh that's not ready yet, did you want to wait while we fill it. It should be 15 or 20 minutes... WTH! First I took the time to order and ask it to be ready 4 hours in advance then I wait 15 minutes to have to wait another 15 to 20 minutes... My lunch is gone and I haven't even eaten yet.... They are not sorry they do nothing to fix it... I even wait 10 - 15 minutes in the drive-thru. It doesn't matter the time, day or when you go it has never been an easy process.... I have been doing this now for a year and I think I have been patient but enough is enough!!! WHY do you have to be like this WALGREENS!!!!!.... Yesterday was the last straw when I waited in line after work for 20 minutes just for the person to take the drive up person before me who just got there....I waited 20 minutes...... I am taking my business and moving to another pharmacy... Maybe CVS would like my business and treat me with some respect.... It kills me to think that a business as big as Walgreens is okay with losing my repeat business as this is the way they stay in business.... Pretty soon everyone will get wise to their we could care less attitudes and move their business and then what would Walgreens do! This store has gone thru so many managers,but the recent manager is the best in the pharmacy. His staff is always cheerful & they do acknowledge you as a human being and talk to you privately. Personally,they do have a drive thru for just prescriptions & yet some customers take advantage of it to get milk,stockings.etc., so they need to always have their game on,trust me. read more

I come in here at least twice a week for many things. Today I went to buy a bottle of wine to have with dinner with my husband. At checkout, Manuel asked to see my ID which I gave him and that's where it went downhill. He stared at my ID for a good 10 seconds and looked at me and said "This is not you. I cannot sell this to you." And I said, "Excuse me? I'm 29 almost 30 years old, I can tell you everything on that ID including my drivers license number. I've never had an issue with my photo on my ID." And he said "Sorry, it just doesn't look like you." And there is a line of about 8 people behind me and I am just so embarrassed and felt bad for holding people up due to Manuel's big mistake. He then continued to exam my ID and scanned it and eventually said, "I'm sorry miss, it was just the bad lighting in here." and I was finally able to purchase my wine after this whole ordeal. He seems to take everything way too seriously and has caused some problems with my husband as well in the past. Try to skip his line if you don't want to deal with embarrassing and unnecessary problems! read more

I have spoken to a few ladies in the pharmacy, they are very rude. I called to see if they received my daughter's prescription from her dentist and her response was as if I didn't know what I was talking about, and I was told I need to call back because she hasn't processed the phone orders. Just called the store to find out why the pharmacy had me on hold for22 minutes and the acting manager ( at least that is what she told me) was extremely rude. I asked her if we just spoke and she said "NO! you're the one who called me, what do you want. I asked her several times for her name and after the third time I asked she said Tina. I told her thank you and hung up. I have lived in Campbell for 49 years and will never step foot in this store again. She needs to be FIRED! read more

I went today, a Sunday, to see if I could transfer a prescription from Stanford Pharmacy to this location. OH MY GOSH!!! First of all, I was the only customer in line, which is why I stopped by on a Sunday, but I still had to wait over 10 minutes for someone to help me because the two women working were too busy. ???!!! Ok, I was patient and waited. When someone finally helped me she acted as if I should be grateful for her rude service. I am extremely understanding if you're busy, which I was, but there was no need for the attitude or rudeness. I am the customer, not you. There are a LOT of pharmacies who give perks for transferring prescriptions to their pharmacy, here you only receive rudeness and attitude! This should have been an easy quick process ( I have an existing account with this pharmacy and I had a copy of the prescription I wanted transferred) but instead it was very painful and shouldn't have been! read more

This review pertains to the photo department. Through their website I created and ordered a photobook of our vacation, and wanted it in time for Mother's Day as a gift. They advertise same day pick up. I think I've seen it all--some pages were upside down, there were duplicate pages, pages were missing, and on one book pages were placed in reverse order. I reordered the book five times. Nevermind that I was not able to give the book as a gift for Mothers Day as planned, it took five re-orders for them to get the pages in the right order, with the right orientation. And this last time that I picked up the book, they didn't have it ready, so I waited 20 min for them to actually make the book, and of course, the pages were falling out on the way home. At some point, it just got to be comedic. They gave me a whopping 15% discount on the book for all of their mistakes, but never once did any employee apologize for their mistake. Each time, they would tell me about who was "on shift" during the order and then grumble about how that employee messed it up. I'm all about trying to be positive--so here's the positive--I like the thick pages that they use, and the photo quality in the books is pretty good compared to the online companies that make you wait 2-3 weeks before the book arrives. All in all though, I'd have to say that my experience ordering a photobook from this Walgreens was pretty awful, and customer service was immature and unprofessional. read more

This is the world's worst pharmacy. Not only are their lines unbearably long and slow, the people who work here make customers feel like they are doing them a favor instead of the reality that we are paying customers. The pharmacist is dishonest and unethical. She pretends to help while she is actually fleecing you. I am appalled at the way I have been treated at this pharmacy and will never give them my business again. Ridiculous woman in her sixties, I only mention her age because she should know better, I may have been able to excuse this behavior from a kid at the register, anyway this jobs worth wouldn't serve me OTC store brand cough medicine because I didn't have an ID, seemly it's a policy to safeguard against kids under 18 getting some kind of buzz. Not sure how this could apply to a middle man who stops in for some respite from the flu. Small minded people revel in what little power they get to wield. read more

This is only a review of the PHARMACY. I had an intense medical issue hit me this week. I was left tired, weak, overwhelmed, extremely sick and just wanting to feel normal again. I went to 2 doctors in one day, I usually hate going to the doctors, but I was scared that something very serious was happening to me. I say all of this to give a set up of all the stress I was feeling in a very short period of time. One prescription was filled very quickly and another one was filled the next day (even though their entire system had gone down), I mean I wasn't even able to call the main store, everything was down. But they got the prescription filled as soon as it was up. Then I needed a third medicine, one of the pharmacist (Elise, I hope I spelled that correctly), went above and beyond in trying to contact my doctor to readjust the dosage (as it was way too high). She also was very understanding, helpful and informative when I called in and had questions as to the safety of taking certain meds because I was breastfeeding. Then when they weren't able to order the medicine in time to arrive before a 3 day weekend, I was able to get the prescription transferred to another pharmacy that did have the medicine in stock. I can't tell you how much relief this gave me! I took just one dose and already feel 100 times better than I have all week! I can't imagine what I would do if I had to wait 4-5 more days! In the past I was guilty of thinking that pharmacist were kind of like robots, they just shove the pills into a bottle and move on to the next one, having no personal connection with the customer. I WAS SO WRONG. Seriously, above and beyond human compassion type of service is what I experienced. I'm sorry that everyone doesn't get to experience this every time they go to this pharmacy. Just remember the staff are human too and have good and bad days like us, be polite. read more

If I could give NO stars I would. I don't know why I even bother coming back. This is the worst Walgreens ever. The young girls in cosmetics like to discuss their private lives loudly while using profanity to only help you when they are ready (and done complaining about their boyfriends or husbands). The store manager has no customer service common sense and it shows in the people he hires for the store. I have had multiple negative experiences with the pharmacy in this particular Walgreen's. Mind you, for the other retail parts of the store, I don't need/expect much except for an open cash register line. That's been fine. However, I have much higher expectations of the pharmacy section, because these people are, essentially, involved in my and my family's medical care, which is something I want handled with care & professionalism. Besides long waits (which are sometimes understandable at a pharmacy, but here have sometimes been beyond the "understandable" level) they have: 1) even after confirming my name, address, etc, they have handed me someone else's prescription refill *and* charged it to my credit card. 2) had multiple-day delays in refilling an Rx, saying they had not gotten the OK from my doctor's office - but it has turned out that the doctor's office never received an approval request *from* the pharmacy 3) not been able to find the refill, rooting around in overflowing baskets of refill envelopes tossed there in random order, presumably because they had not had time to file the envelopes in their alphabetical bins. It doesn't increase my confidence to have my pharmacist kneeling on the floor rooting around for my pills, y'know? 4) repeatedly submitted Rx claims to outdated insurance information in their computers, even though they have been given current information & had it pointed out. 5) forgotten - on two separate occasions - to add the water to a powdered antibiotic for an Rx that was for a liquid form for a child. One time, I didn't discover this until I was at home about to give the dose to the child; when I called the pharmacist, I was told, "Oh, can't you just add the water?" Isn't there any concern about getting the concentration correct? Overall, the attitude, particularly by 2 who seem to be the main employees in the pharmacy, is to rush the customer through and a blank look if an error is pointed out. My confidence level has dropped to zero with the department at this point, and I will be looking to switch to a different pharmacy. Mind you, I have been a Walgreen's customer for probably 20 years or more, but after dealing with this place, no more. read more

This review is for the pharmacy, not any other area of this Walgreen's. I'm sorry, but this is truly the slowest WALGREEN'S pharmacy I have ever patronized in all the years I've used Walgreen's. In our house we call it "Stallgreen's", as a joke to comfort ourselves when one of us is stuck in the line for hours on end (usually waiting for something pretty simple). To the person who commented and tried to explain the reasons why it is so slow (11/2014, Petunia?), please, give me a break! Yes, there may in fact be "system" reasons for the slowness, that I can believe (I'm a health-care professional, yes, I know what meds I'm taking and I also know about "systems".) But then what explains why so many of the other Walgreen's Pharmacies in the Bay area do a much, much better job of customer service?? This place is chronically understaffed and while I generally am reluctant to assign any personal motives to the "slowness", I have run into at least one pharmacist there who appeared to cop a major attitude about one of the meds I was prescribed, at one point in time. Not professional, not needed, not her business, just do your job. Other staff there seem nice as well as compassionate, but may be caught up in the poorly managed inefficiency of the place, over which they have little control. I don't know and actually, I don't care. We'll be moving out of this immediate area soon and I look forward to using a better Walgreen's in our new location. I honestly don't know how this place stays "running" or in business. Hope this doesn't sound xenophobic, because I don't mean it this way at all, but there is an attitude at this pharmacy that reminds me of what you sometime run into in third-world countries, where long, slow lines are the standard. It's something like "this is what you get here and don't complain. There's no reason to expect better"...... Sad, huh? read more

This place gets a one star for the fact that the manager did meet us and apologized to us, otherwise I would probably never step foot in there and would pretend that I gave 0 stars. Went in here as I always get my makeup at walgreens and was browsing with my boyfriend. Picked up some bottles of the super cheap nail polish they sell, and because my vision is kind of so so, I like opening the bottles to see the color truly. Usually I buy them, and I intended to come back around to do so, when the cosmetics women (curly hair) came up and somewhat yelled at me, saying when I open them I have to buy them. I apologized, despite her tone, and said I didn't realize and held onto the bottles I opened intending to buy them, even though I was angry with how she spoke to me. She immediately walks over to her desk, and pages security to walk the floor, who immediately comes over to us. The security person, cosmetics person, and manager chat while staring directly at us. I could over hear the cosmetics woman say she saw me opening and messing with stuff. I was so furious I stormed out. My boyfriend did hear, supposedly, the manager say the girl shouldn't report customers just walking around. Which if that is true, I appreciate him saying that. I did come back into the store and talk with the manager explaining the situation. I am never one to complain, especially since I work retail where we deal with tough customers and theft all the time. But we talk to our customers gracefully and kindly. A simple heads up about the nail polish would have sufficed, and I would have happily bought them and been on my way. We also think they were suspicious of my boyfriends hoodie and that I had a backpack despite the whole 2 minutes we were in there for this all to occur, which they lost our sale tonight. The manager gave us a few "I understands" and "I apologize on our behalf." I appreciated his speaking to us and helping us. And hope that his apologies are sincere and would discuss with his team how to appropriately deal with customers. I would give 2 stars but I want them to understand the impact of my wasted time and frustration. This is an unusual situation for me as I have never been treated this way and even when I do get upset at a business, I usually bite my tongue. But I have to give a fair warning to people about certain behavior. That cheap little trivial bottles of nail polish warranted this behavior and actually made me write a review. read more

to those who care - beware of the notion that you will get the marked-down price for anything, you have to remind them at checkout to check the coupon. it makes no sense that you have a "card". for example - went to this store to buy allergy meds yesterday. claritin, flonase and benadrll. the flonase was on sale for 16.99, after i checked the receipt i had her check the coupon for the flonase, which she said was there, she refunds me 25.00, then proceeds to charge me an even 18.00 for the flonase instead of 16.99 (realized later). not the first time this happened.this place is nuts!! next time cvs across the street. read more
