I always get it too early to fill pain med I say I fill it early as I'm going out of state for a month or just to get it filled after drs appointment, sometimes its not in stock. This is my preferred location I usually find what I need, if not I can get an answer as to the timing for the item to be available. Friendly service employees have been here I feel like forever. Which is a good thing I like seeing Those familiar faces when I go there to shop. Photo department and pharmacy are always busy if you go for pick ups in the afternoon expect to wait in line for a while. Best times to pick up refills are always in the mid morning. Garbage outside is a unpleasant to see I don't know if this is the stores fault or is there is something they could co about it (bigger trash containers) There are a few regular pan handlers there needless to say I appreciate they don't sell alcohol. read more

I really hate to give bad reviews but this place is terrible. The customer service is horrible the employees don't Really speak English that well and considering this is a business located inside the united states you would expect them to speak the language. They are super slow with prescriptions and checking whatever method they use for getting the scrips from the doctor. I went to my doctor at 8am and I watched as he prescribed a simple antibiotic for a throat infection and I went to this Walgreen because I was going to be at a friends house in the area setting up his new Mac and tv and game system. I went to the Walgreens at 1:30pm and my prescription was still not ready so I said ok I'll be back. I had to go to best buy in Colma to pick up a few cables for my friends install and after that I grabbed some soup at Safeway and than went back to Walgreens at 2:45 and still my meds were not ready I said WTF are you people retarded or something and walked out. Walked in to buy assorted things; strange vibe from the staff, like if they secretly want to kick your ass for annoying them by coming in, or like they know you are not local so get the fuck out, you're clogging up our narrow streets with your poor driving. I've been coming to this location for years. And every time I go to the pharmacy to pick up medicine for my family I will always encounter this lady her name is LEA she has this dude haircut style, very short. Anyway, when I pick up my medice and try to refill another medicine she always gives me this deep breath like "for real". And then look away with disappointment. She never smiles or greet you. She just wanted to get it done and over with. The pharmacy manager needs to train their employees on how to do great customer service. Not everyone that comes to pick up their medicine are rude, I for instance politely greeted her and thanked her afterwards. I don't even think they read the Yelp reviews. Well, this was an adequate Walgreens. It is not in the best part of town, and there was quite a lot of trash outside on the sidewalk. There is a parking lot which is pretty big, and it was easy to get a parking space. The store is fairly well laid out and is tidy and well-stocked. Service was friendly and fast. Would go back here again. Points would be higher if it was a nicer place to visit and if the store looked newer inside, but would be lower if the service wasn't so good and if it wasn't clean. read more

Photo department is the worse, photo lady would not print my pictures without a photographer's release. She must have forgotten that she had no problems printing the same pictures 2 days ago for me. Didn't even want to argue with someone who is obviously don't care. I never met someone who tried so hard to not be helpful. I just reordered my prints at another location and picked it up there instead. read more

This location could do better, especially with their customer service. Often times, I find most of their Filipina employees talking shit in tagalog with each other about some of the customers and coworkers. Like foreal? Y'all rude AF. I walked into the store and return an item for my husband w/o the receipt. Cashier was rude about it for no reason. I told her I was still going to shop and had shown her my bag because it had items I needed to return at targets. About five minutes later I realized one item in my bag was from Walgreen not targets, so I went back to the cashier and tried to return it and was asked by the manger, " why did I walk around the store and now returning a second item"? She then accused me of stealing. I was shocked, upset and embarrassed all at the same time. When i asked her for her name she refused and said, " I do not care what you want and walked away. I realize that theft is high at Walgreens in general but to flat out and start just accusing people for "walking around" is insane. Worst service! This happened last 4 months ago but still fresh in my mind what happened to my father.So he has a medicine pick up and even his Doctor's office called them up so that after his visit from the clinic it will be ready for pick up right away by the time he will get it by afternoon.....what happened? By the time they got there they said it's not ready yet and my brother was with him the Pharmacy Tech said if you want you can wait for 30 mins. And it was more than 30 mins and my brother has to go home also because of his parking spot on where he lives, and still not ready after an hour so my 82 year old father said he wants to go home and pick it up tomorrow morning because he is so mad already at the same time mad of what is happening. So the next day my brother has a work so I accompanied him and we went and I decided to wait for him at the Parking Lot thinking that it will be an easy pickup since it should had been picked up the day before... After 10 mins my father called telling me to come and he felt dizzy so i rushed and went to the pharmacy then i saw him sitting down talking to the Manager very upset I found out that he collapsed and fell...And the meds are not ready yet. So I asked them what is going on? Why did he fell and why is that meds not ready yet? They don't give me direct answers and the pharmacy tech is just staring at me so the manager keep apologizing to me and my father. So one lady customer approached me and said you have to bring your father to the hospital because i saw him hit his head on the wall when he fell, So I immediately told the manager to call 911 and my father is complaining of dizziness, they rushed him to Seton and guess what, the meds still not ready not until after 7 mins. So about my father's condition, the did a CAT Scan and they saw a blood clot old and new. After a week of staying in the hospital he went home and the condition got worsened he is getting forgetful and always sleepy so i took him back to the hospital and they did a surgery and he was in a coma for 2 weeks we thought that was it for him he was even put in hospice care but he fought through and the doctor decided to bring him to Long Term Care and they said it will help with his rehab. Last month he had a seizure and was send to the other hospital, they did the CAT scan and it says that there is a clot again. It so hard to think that because of that incident my father is suffering right now, Still until now they cannot explain what happened or what was the cause of the delay of my father's meds. If not with the old blood clot i can sue them. This not gonna be a good Father's Day for my family thinking that this will be the last time we will see him. read more

Horrible customer service prescriptions are ready and have voicemail to confirm they are at the pharmacy only. I drive over there to pick up but upon getting in line cashier has long conversations with patron at least 10 minutes when obviously there is a line of 12 people then as soon as i get to the pharmacy clerk she say my rx hasn't been filled. This pharmacy is disorganized inefficient needs more employees and new store manager. read more

Its ridiculous 19 cents if u do it online and 20 something cents if I do it in person? Wow what's the difference I'm going to have to pick it up anyways. Also, the workers were so rude. So I've been going here for years. I've lived I the area about 5 years. And usually everything goes fine as expected. But lately within the past two weeks things have been shit. One sunday night my sister asked to use the restroom, the store was empty and the lady at the front I think her name is Lalita it's what some guy called her. She told my sister no we don't have a bathroom. Wtf? Amd then we don't have a public restroom. We asked a guy and he said no 9urs is broke you can't use it. I asked him where he used it? He said, "we have keys to a restaurant behind walgreens that's where we go wtf are you kidding me? So they go to a restaurant everyone they have to n use the bathroom? ? Such bullshit This staff is incompetent, lazy, lying monkeys. The thing that got me most pissed was that a few mins later an elderly guy asked to use the restroom and the Lalita woman said ok let me get someone to take you to the restroom. This other woman came out and said let's go to the back u can use our restroom. So they did have a restroom? But what? Because we are not Philippine we are not allowed to use it?? Everyone at this store always seems annoyed and like they hate their job. Unless you're Philippine of course they'll have their entire conversation with you at the register while people wait in line. Then today (6.8.15) I went back to buy some paper plates that go on sale. I saw that they were out. I asked a guy working the candy isle Dave if he can check in the back if they had more plates. He said no I'm not going to check we are out until friday, I said really? You know the stick room by heart ? He said yes I do, so we're out so please stop asking me. What is wrong with these employees? ??? He really couldn't go check in the back just to make sure? It's not like he said 3 people had already asked him and he knew for sure that they were out. There was no communication. He was just flat out rude. This store has gone down hill since I first started shopping here over 4 years ago. There is no communication, and no respect for the customer. This Walgreens has been around forever located in Colma and on the way into the city. I personally like this Walgreens because there's almost never a line when having to check out. But I do mainly come here to pick up my medicine and there can be a long way at the pharmacy... One thing that bugs me was that I refilled my prescription and they gave me the option to alter the amount of my prescription which I accepted. Then a voice message called me back saying that they will have to talk to my doctor to see if they approve of the alter of my medication and they'll let me know once they find out... So I wait a day and no call. I called the pharmacy to see the status of my prescription and they said there is no record under that prescription number, like what the heck?... So I called the Westlake Walgreens (since they're open 24/7 and this location is not [-1 star]) to have this prescription refilled and they told me I already refilled this prescription and it is ready for pick up at the Colma Walgreens. I don't normally write reviews but I just had to with this one. I was on hold for 10 minutes and when he finally answered the phone, the pharmacy manager is just plain rude! Made me repeat myself like 10 times and he don't know what I'm talking about. He could've just said "I'm sorry but I don't know what you're talking about or I don't understand English!" Convenient location, but other than that the service is pretty bad. Pharmacy took forever and a day... quite annoying, especially when you're in a time crunch. The pharmacy workers in this Walgreen store are something else-unprofessional ,lazy,make so many excuses,work too slow even if there is such a long line.They refill prescriptions one at a time (even if they know that these are maintenance medicines ) and should all be refilled at the same time so we have to make many trips to get the medicines .The wait in the pharmacy is very long most of the time .They don't read prescriptions and right away say it's not allowed by insurance yet even if dosage is different and therefore is a new prescription .Sometimes they act as if they know more than your doctor and change dosage or decide that you need a new prescription even if there is still one last refill left .I can go on and on about them.And this is the general consensus.Many old folks just don't complain because they need their medicines and this is the nearest pharmacy to their residence. read more
