5/5 for the Pharmacy and their workers! This is the ONLY pharmacy in Gville open past 7pm on the weekdays. I usually go to Walmart pharmacy but it was past 7 and i just got out of the doctors. I came here and I'm so glad I did! The 2 workers were super nice- they had my prescription ready literally in 5 mins after it was received. Also the pharmacist was super helpful and told me how to take it so that it absorbs better. To contrast, last time I got this medication at Walmart it was a horrible experience. The walmart pharmacy took over 20 minutes even though there was no one else there (I think the pharmacist did it on purpose). She also did NOT give me the absorption advice (even though it was my first time getting this medication). Even though Walmart is a few blocks closer to me, I think I will switch to Walgreens! These workers had a good attitude and were very efficient AND wore their face masks (unlike some other questionable places). read more

0 stars if I could. This is by far the WORST pharmacy I've ever dealt with. When they mess up your prescriptions (and they will), it's a (bare minimum) half an hour wait to talk to someone on the phone- and usually is over 45 minutes. The lines in the store to pick up prescriptions are down the aisles (multiple) and the drive through is just as bad. Plan on an hour for a pick up. I have a prescription that was sent 7 days ago that shows as in process STILL. I ran out 5 days ago. That is the norm for this pharmacy. AVOID this place at all costs. They are the absolute worst. I just transferred my prescriptions to another pharmacy 20 miles further away so I can actually call, ask questions, and get my prescriptions on time. I just want a functional pharmacy. Walgreens lost my business, period. They've had plenty of time to fix that store but do nothing but let their customers suffer. read more

One word! DISASTER!!! The Pharmacy is totally in Choas because of the demand in our area since Rite-Aid left. We would get texts saying a prescription is ready and wasn't; many times, many return trips.Picking up thru the drive-thru..better have a full tank of gas! They take forever to fill a prescription and many times only a portion of total pills. They are always short staffed and you have to Walt inline for up to 20 minutes. I have had two occasions when I was notified a prescription was ready for pickup and when I went to pick them up was told they were not ready yet. read more

Terrible pharmacy service. First did an online prescription transfer and received a notice that my prescription was ready the next day. But when I went to pick it up they had no record of the prescription. Then had a prescription submitted by my primary care on March 16. A few days later the website for the pharmacy at my store said they had received the drug. It's now 11 days later and they still haven't notified me that I can pick it up. Tried calling several times, even asking to speak to the store manager. The service said they would transfer my call but it wouldn't go through. Horrible service. read more

The pharmacy is so bad. You call in for a prescription refill, the recording says of that script is read for pick up. So I wait an extra day... just in case. I go in and wait through the excessive line to be told it is not read and it will be in about 15 to 20 minutes. WHAT? I have to wait through this line again? And sometime in the past month been told once you FINALLY get to the front and be told they only have 5 pills at this time and more should arrive in the next shipment. What a sham of a pharmacy. And on top of that, they are rude as hell to you when you state you were told that the script was ready, excuses about enough employees... I can understand that, to a point. Apparently this Walgreens location has taken on too much business to handle. Prescriptions are not ready even when a text message says they are. Drive through wait can be an hour and just as bad inside Several times I have waited over two hours on hold only to be hung up on. This is a convenient location and some of the staff are great, but I will soon be forced to go to another pharmacy that can handle their business. It would be very helpful if they could limit each car in the drive-through to 10 minutes max but even more helpful if they just take on the business, they know they can handle. I know more people are moving into the area, but they need to change something to keep up with the needs of the already existing community. This seems like blatant irresponsibility at a corporate level. I hope something changes in the next month or I will be forced to find another pharmacy. I have heard the same feedback from dozens of other locals. This is a chronic problem. read more

I'm done with this Walgreens. Since Rite Aid closed, I have had 2 prescriptions filled at the Gardnerville Walgreens despite living about 15 away. And, I've coped with poor customer service issues because it's always a hassle changing pharmacies. However, my experience today was the final straw. I left my home early enough to arrive by 9:00am when the pharmacy is scheduled to open (Saturday). Also, had to navigate through the endless road work in Gardnerville. So, I arrived at 9:00am only to hear that the pharmacy will NOT open until the pharmacist gets to work. Only, one pharmacist is scheduled and he/she is the only one that can open it up. Unfortunately, I was told that the pharmacist was "stuck in traffic in Incline Village" and when the pharmacy would open was unknown. Awful waste of my time. Bye-bye. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. I was on hold for 2 hours trying to find out why it's taking 2 days to fill a simple prescription for nauseous medication as I haven't been able to eat in a week as I'm pregnant. The doctor sent on Friday, no update where my prescription is... and it's Sunday... still not well and needing something. I call, wait in hold no big deal until it's 2 hours in! no answer so I decide to call on my other cell phone, an answer in almost 2 minutes, answering hello pharmacy! That's weird because I'm next in line how is this call now jumping in front of my call! Man answers and I ask, how are other calls coming in as I'm still hold with you guys for 2 hours. That is messed up, he proceeds to rush me how I can I help, so I ask where my prescription is, I get some bullshit answer like, I'm busy. your too busy to give people their medications prescribed from their doctors. He wanted me to listen to his problems. I really don't care. I'm not corporate, nor am I your boss because this wouldn't be happening under my management! You treat customers as they are right, even if wrong... why am I taking a hit for you not doing your job!? so me not eating and having this baby suffer and in jeopardy is okay? it's justified by I dont want to hire more people. I've been going here for years and had the best customer service and everything ran smoothly. Recently, in the last six months, this pharmacy has become a nightmare. My doctor ordered two new prescriptions into the computer system. Walgreens on line tracker kept saying they were in process. After a week, I went into the pharmacy (with a line of no less than 30 people) and they found the new order and processed it in 30 minutes. Tried to renew a prescription via their call in system. I was notified that there were no refills although I watched my doctor approve of refills via computer for a full year. After waiting on the phone for 30 minutes, finally getting a ring tone that rang for 15 times before their system hung up on me, I went in person and was told that because I scanned the bar code on a bottle that said no refills, their system didn't recognize the doctor's approval of refills. I'm supposed to be on auto refill and that doesn't work anymore. I'm supposed to get 90 day supplies and I'm lucky if I get 60. I understand that everyone is short-staffed these days but they have the pharmacist and 6 clerks behind the counter plus the people that actually fill the prescriptions and they've had this same amount of people every time I've been in there recently. Yet the lines are always long both inside and in the drive through. This once great pharmacy has become the worst in the county. read more

Pharmacy sucks!! We waited 15 min in line before 3 cars. Got up to the window to do our order and they had shut everything up and closed the window without even waiting for the cars to be gone. I was in a lot of pain and couldn't really function. The Rx staff were REALLY REALLY kind, patient and helpful.

So I came in here looking for something to help my elderly mom that seemed like she had a UTI with kidney issues. I googled some supplements that might help and decided I didn't want the hassle of going into a supermarket or a place like Walmart. I really like Walgreens and it's easy to park and walk in. My daughter and I were looking at the supplements but couldn't find anything we were looking for. We saw someone in the pharmacy that was out in the store and showed us it was all in the feminine hygiene area. Not sure why they would just put it with the other supplements but okay. They didn't have what I was looking for but I found something else at a price of $12.99. There was only one cashier and a line of about 6 of us. After waiting about 10 minutes in line another person opened and took us. The only reason why I gave them a 2 star and not a 1 was because of the person who directed us to the area to look. The biggest reason why only a 2 star is later that day I ended up going to Smith's supermarket for something else and was curious if they had their UTI stuff with the feminine hygiene area. They did. They actually had what I purchased at Walgreens but the price there was $6.99! Holy cow, I paid almost double at Walgreens! I can understand a dollar or 2 difference but $5.00 more! Crazy! Now, I wonder of all the others stuff I've purchased there is I have paid way too much. read more

I've been coming to Walgreens for over a couple of years to get my prescriptions filled and finally have decided to get with it and stop coming here. I have a few issues with this pharmacy: 1. The drive thru is ALWAYS incredibly slow. 2. They made me go rounds with my insurance company to get a pre auth. They also made me get a new prescription from my doctor (this process took two weeks). 3. Went on Christmas Eve to get my prescription filled. They said they only had a a certain amount (not the 30 days I needed) so she advised me to come back Friday to get the fill prescription. When I came back (today-FRIDAY), they told me that they wouldn't have it until next week. When I asked why the ball got dropped, the tech said that just because they ordered it, doesn't mean they will get it. WTH? Didn't you get a pre authorization? Don't you have a prescription (two mind you!) from my doctor? What she was saying wasn't making sense. 4. Consistency in service is highly lacking! Time for a new pharmacy! read more

We called to get the TDAP shot and was told on the phone that they take walkins between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM. We went to the corner of healthy and happy at 7:10 PM and they said they don't offer the shot after 7:00 PM. I just got out of back fusion surgery. A pain pill prescription was sent to Walgreens early this morning. From then on, all I could see on their website was 'Prescription Delayed'. I attempted to call them, and never could get past the recorded information. My wife went down to get the Rx, and was told they were OUT out of the pain pills. Couldn't they have notified me what the problem was? Couldn't they realize this might be a problem when the extreme pain hits here in an hour or so? The joke in our family for the last 5 years has been that every time we've gone through the pharmacy drive thru there is a new pharmacist, usually impolite, seemingly impatient, grumpy and never a smile. Having said that the 5 stars are for the New woman pharmacist. She is wonderful, caring, polite, always a smile and is very helpful. We noticed there was a new pharmacist face about a month ago. My wife was on new medication, after about 2 weeks she received a call from the new woman pharmacist who introduced herself and wanted to know how my wife was fairing on her new meds, was she have any of the side effects she was told about? Did my wife have any concerns? She then told my wife her schedule for the week and told my wife she'd be happy to answer any questions that she might think off later. I can only hope that the pharmacy manager George pays attention to how wonderful she is and makes sure this pharmacist stays around for more than a month or two! Also I've been helped immediately each time I've used the drive thru, I was in line the other day behind 4 cars, thinking this will be another 1/2 hr wait or longer. No sooner did I think that thought then the line was moving and continued to move until I pulled up to the window, 5 minutes on the nose! Yep this new young woman pharmacist is great. Hopefully a competitor doesn't notice and make her a better offer! read more

I love this Walgreens. This is my local Goods you for cereal and Pharmacy. The pharmacy I haven't had many issues with they've been great to me. And the staff is always polite as far as I've experienced. And they are the only store that carries my brand of electronic cigarette refill. If you need help they will be right there to show you where something is. I have nothing but good things to say Not to mention the location is beautiful next to Lampe Park. read more

Walgreens is the most uninformed, impolite, and slow pharmacy on planet earth! I came here for the pneumonia vaccine ordered by my doctor. After a 45 minute wait, they turned me away. Walgreen says that, despite the prescription and the Walgreens immunization certificate that I have in hand, they will not give this vaccine to anyone under the age of 65 years (I am 64). Sorry, but pinheaded bureaucrats should NOT be able to override the doctor, or deny health benefits covered by my insurance policy! This a Walgreen's Policy, inconsistent with federal prescription guidelines. This is not a medical policy, this is a financial policy. It needs to be litigated through class action lawsuit! Worst drive up customer service ever. I have been picking up my prescription at the drive up for about a year. It is the same thing almost everytime. Pull up wait no one even acknowledges you for ever. The pharmacist look but are to good to work the window. They are under staffed. At least they could do is acknowledge that your there. Then they will wait on two customers on the inside counter before they even look at you at the drive up. This is my last time I moved my prescriptions to an other place. read more

This was a review on the pharmacy. The wait time for drive up window is also about 30 min to an 1 hour. Going inside is about the same. The pharmacy staff is untrained and has no idea what they are doing. I went back twice today to pick up my husband's prescription which they can never seem to bill right. I have never paid more then 40 dollars for this script, yet today they tell me it will 100, after stating that he has a CO pay card on file and my insurance it should be about 40 not one person was compitaint enough to figure it out. Holy smokes! What a joke. I went to the pharmacy to ask the pharmacist which antacid would be best for a pregnant woman. I brought two up the the counter. After waiting nearly ten minutes a pharmacist named Bach came to speak with me. When I asked him he said he didn't know and would need to look them up. I joked and said "oh are you going to google it?" He said Yes!!! Then he tells me that they are both class B drugs for pregnancy (which I knew from my own google search) and tells me that B is better than C but not as good as A. Duh. I asked if one would work better or if one is more typically recommended for pregnancy, he said he didn't know. How the hell is this guy a pharmacist?! He was zero help and a complete waste of time. Really disappointing. He seemed to have poor people skills on top of his lack of understanding of OTC antacids. read more

This pharmacy is absolutely ridiculous. I have utilized this pharmacy only because it is one of the only places in town that are open late (until 9 pm). Unfortunately, it is so understaffed that no matter what time of the day or night you come to this facility, there is an absurd waiting time. If you need a prescription quickly or if you are conscious of your time at all, do not use this pharmacy. Lastly, whatever you do, do not get in the drive thru line! Their customer service is lacking and they do not acknowledge you when you're sitting at the window (even if they walk right by it), and it is very possible that you may spend upwards of 20 mins in line, even when there is only 1 car ahead of you. If they could learn expedite their services and the drive thru line, this pharmacy could be great! read more
