Better than walyellows

Not to be confused with Woolgreens, which sells Green Sheep. I mean who doesn't love Green Sheep. Amirite. No. Nobody. Walgreens was not very helpful with my finger. Typical overpriced Walgreens and didn't really want to offer me any good advice. At least they talked to me (hence not getting 1 star). Went across the street, and CVS were amazingly helpful. The woman took me in and didn't even charge me for lengthy doctor consultation - for which she referred me to lots of free clinics in the area and I was eventually able to get my hand fixed before my finger fell off. Seriously. They said if I waited one day I may have lost it.

Typical Walgreens. I found everything I needed and probably more than I needed to get. There was a long line at check out but another clerk came out to help us and the line went pretty fast after that.

Fast friendly service! Had to grab a sewing kit for a quick repair and the manager Janet was right there to help me find it.

I come in pretty regularly, and I have to say when Dawn is working the register she always makes…read morethe experience better every time. She is always friendly, welcoming, and genuinely kind--not just going through the motions. On my last visit, she went out of her way to help me with a question and made sure everything was exactly right. It's rare to see that level of care and attention, especially when things are so busy. You can tell she really cares about the customers and takes pride in what she does! Great service like that doesn't go unnoticed--definitely one of the reasons I keep coming back!

Dreams officially came true at the Fort Worth location. I was thrilled to finally take the time to experience this legendary Texas institution for myself and I think I spent an absurd amount of time wandering around the store. I looked at everything... then circled back around to look at everything a second time... though I'm pretty sure my friends were very much ready to leave long before I was. And the shopping? Dangerous!!! *Nearly* three digits later, I somehow left with a Buc-ee's t-shirt, a seatbelt cover that I just love so much, Beaver Nuggets of multiple varieties, mints, a magnet/bottle opener, a patch, and honestly probably several other things I didn't technically need but absolutely wanted. Buc-ee's seems to sell literally everything. The highlight of the entire experience, however, was BY FAR getting a photo with Buc-ee himself. Absolutely iconic! Dreams. Came. True. Beyond the novelty of Buc-ee himself, the store was surprisingly clean, well organized, and efficient despite the crowds - so many people! Buc-ee's is basically part convenience store, part gift shop, part roadside amusement park, and yet it all works. If only they had a seating area to enjoy the mouthwatering pulled pork sandwiches they were selling... Anyway, I now *completely* understand the Buc-ee's obsession and can only hope California (or even New York!) someday gets one of their own. Until then, I'll just have to cherish my photo with Buc-ee and Beaver Nuggets from afar.

Despite it's outwardly glitzy appearance, be prepared to be let down time and time again, as…read moreoperational issues cause a bevy of annoyances and frustration. This location is above and beyond the largest 7-Eleven I've been too, but bigger doesn't necessarily mean better. I've kept my eye on how this location came into being. You might recall that in the not-so-distant past, the store was located on the Northeast corner of Preston and Alpha. It was there for many years, then a larger, competitor sprang up all around it. I'm sure that didn't sit well with the 7-Eleven folks, so they built an even more imposing and grandiose outpost to compete on the adjacent corner. The problem is, it's all style and no substance. The exterior looks cool and with the addition of a Laredo Taco Company on the inside, it appears to be a great stop to get all your convenience store essentials. However, the operational piece of this location is somewhat lacking and multiple times it made me rethink patronizing this location. Before going into my grievances, I want to recognize the good things. I like that there's ample parking. I drive an EV, so I don't need gas, so items a huge plus for me to pull up to the back parking lot and never have to navigate through the crowded gas pump area to find a spot. Love that! Next, the team here is nice and friendly. No complaints here whatsoever. They also have a self-checkout lane that is convenient and easy to use. Very quick in and out. Okay, now to what drives me nuts about this location. First- be sure to check the expiration date before you buy something here. Twice I've made purchases and got expired goods. One time for some milk and another for cheese and crackers. Never again- I'll always check from now on. Second, the smoothie machine is always broken. The smoothies are awesome- but there was a time when I came here like six times in a row and it was out of service every time. I asked an employee when it was going to be fixed and they said "tomorrow", and guess what- it wasn't fixed tomorrow or even days after that. Once it did get fixed, it was dispensing weird (like spilling over the cup), then the next day- the machine was BROKEN AGAIN! Oh and the one time the smoothie machine was working, they had no lids for the cups, so I used a Big Gulp lid that didn't fit and I looked like an absolute crazy person carrying around this drink with a giant lid. The whole time was was worried the drink was going to spill. Overall, it's great that this location carries a wider array of items, but the lack of attention to operations at the location will almost guarantee something will be amiss. There has to be a way to have the experience match the promise of this bigger, glitzy building. I honestly cannot recall a time I've been to this location where there wasn't some form of disappointment. Despite the good things going for it, those things are undermined by the lack of operational excellence.

Very Rude Hispanic Employee at Register... I told her I bought a Coffee and a Breakfast Sandwich…read moreand ots suppose to be Free Coffee with Sandwich but she pushes whatever Coffee she likes so I pay for everything and I told her I got the Coffee with the Machine that your manager was just cleaning and added ice to it and she pushes iced coffee and scans my Sandwich and total comes out to to over $8 when Coffee is suppose to be free. To make story short, she didnt know her job and just like another store pushes whatever button to make customer, who actually works for a corporate store, pay more than what it is suppose to be and who actually knows his job. She needs to be fired and also not yell and refuse service as well... no wonder they have a 1. Something star rating
