Made an appointment during the week to get a vaccination,. I was left sitting there for 30 minutes. There was no one else waiting and no one at the pharmacy. There were two people working behind the counter. The pharmacist appeared to be doing stuff behind the counter. Once he called me in, it took about two minutes for him to give me the shot. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Purchased a Sephora gift card for mother's day and found out by my wife that the card was empty upon trying to use it. Looked back at my receipt and it states *ERROR* on the transaction- but it still charged my card. Upon calling the store, the first person on the phone states "that should never happen, the cashier should stop you right away if it errors out- let me get a manger" Once the manager gets on the phone and I state the transaction # and Sale associate's name, she realized she was the one who sold me the gift card. Emelina the manager then proceeded to tell me that any error transaction should be automatically refunded (LIE). Then stated that this must of been the new employee (a male) that used her numbers for the transaction. (LIE) and that she just pulled up the footage, and it was not her.(LIE AGAIN) I vividly remember working only with a female who was the only employee in the front of the store. Not only lying about doing the transaction, but then also admitting to sharing employee numbers. Finally she tells me to bring the gift card in (which was given as a gift a week ago already) and all the information and she *MAY* get me a refund. I'm at the mercy of CVS pharmacy now. My parent is passing & I will have to go by her side without taking my hypertension meds. Dr said he left 2 voicemails at CVS 3rd lake approving my high blood pressure meds & 2 others. Dr also said he approved the medication electronically, plus the CVS automated system said these medications were already picked up. I went into the pharmacy & talked to a real person who stated they have no voicemail, electronic approval & no one picked up any of my medications. All 3 of there systems are now faulty. I was waiting my appointment tine for the minute clinic. It is helpful to use their text that updates you on your appointment time. However, my appointment tine came and nobody came out to get me. I've had the flu for 5 days. Today's was the first day I was string enough to leave the house. It was a huge effort to come to cvs. Although the text says to be here and the kiosk said my appointment was now - 2:30 instead I found out that the person decided to not return until 3:05. But she did not let the texting know. It's ridiculous. Unprofessional. And maddening when you're sick. Why have the texting option if it's incorrect? I've been printing photos at this CVS for several years, photos for work and my personal life. I had placed two separate orders of 100 prints each - one for personal and one for work, when I came to pick up my photos only one order was processed correctly,the work photos. My personal photos were missing 20 prints out of 100 and the photos that were supposed to be printed vertical were printed horizontally and cropped with a white border. I came back to CVS explaining my situation calmly to the store manager about the problem in which he responded saying it was the way I placed the order on the computer and it was my fault, ignoring his accusations I asked if I can get a refund and have the photos corrected, he agreed. I can back the following day to show how the photos were printed out wrong, where he responded with well the photos there and I responded with I ordered for a 4x6 photo not a smaller photo on a 4x6 print and asked the question of do you think a customer would be happy with the print? His response was ," I don't care what the customer thinks of the photo I just print." I returned the photos and asked him how he was going to discard my pictures because for my privacy I'd like them shredded. He said a company picks up the photos and shreds them they do not do it in the store. I asked for the shredder companies name he said he couldn't tell me. I was simply worried about my privacy where he did not understand. I asked to for a phone number to speak to his supervisor and he said call 1800 I did and I explained my situation to the phone representative where she said it will be reviewed in the next 24-48 hours. I told the manager he will be contacted by the district manager and myself again. The STORE MANAGER: THRICE B. was rude, unprofessional, raising his voice at me, and wearing his AirPods not only in front of me but other customers, and not once did he apologize for any of the faults or misunderstandings. I cannot wait to hear how the district manager will handle this situation. The photos are a least of my worry at this point but a huge worry is that the experience and service given by a STORE manager is not where it should be. read more

Though all of the Pharm Techs at Grayslake are genuinely kind people who seem motivated to serve, our experience with this store's pharmacy has been very disappointing. Why? Because we have been directed to go to neighboring CVS Pharmacies in Lindenhurst or Mundelein roughly 50% of the times that we sought to have prescriptions filled or re-filled in Grayslake. To make matters worse, in EVERY case that we were directed to go elsewhere, no one bothered to express regret for our inconvenience, or inquired if we would like Grayslake to order the medication in the future, so we would not have to go elsewhere for refills. As recently as last week a Pharm Tech told me that the medication dose that my doctor re-prescribed, after a brief break from the medication, was not commonly prescribed and filled; a patently false claim, since it was prescribed to me for at least 10 years, and was filled by Walgreens for at least 120 consecutive months without a hitch. It was not until I noted that substitutions were allowed by my doctor, and that other dosages may be acceptable, that I learned that Grayslake does not stock ANY dosage size of the medication, because, as the Pharm Tech claimed, Grayslake does not stock "heavier medications". So, I had to make a 30 minute trip to the CVS in Mundelein to have my 'heavier' medication prescription filled, again absent of an expression of regret for my inconvenience, or a query if I would like Grayslake to order the medication for future refills. Oddly enough, Mundelein carried the medication at the supposedly 'uncommon' dose. The good news is Walgreens and our medication insurer have recently settled their differences, so our insurer will resume paying Walgreens prescription claims in mid-September. We learned this after we received a "Welcome!" letter from CVS the first week of August ... 8 months late, became curious why, inquired of our insurer, and learned about its new agreement with Walgreens. read more

I've been a customer here for about 5 years and as a senior, I've got several medications needed. I never had a problem until this year. One of my prescriptions call for a quantity of 60 for a thirty day supply (2x daily). In January I saw a status of "in process" for this scrip for two days. It should've been filled by the 9th of the month and when I didn't hear anything I called to ask why it still showed "in process" as of the 11th. I was told they were out of stock and wouldn't be able to fill until the following week. Since I was already out I asked if there was a generic substitute available. My first question was why didn't anyone call me to let me know of the stock shortage and suggest the generic substitution?? It didn't seem right that I had to be the one to try and resolve their inventory control issues? They did have a partial quantity of a generic available so I asked that they give me what they had. I then had to get a new scrip from my Dr to fill the remaining balance of 20. So eventually, it worked out. Now, two months later the SAME problem. This time I didn't wait two days before asking what the "in process" status really meant. Went thru the same routine ~ they had just run out of the medication prescribed ~ I HAD TO ASK (again!) if they had a generic substitute which they did but again, only a partial quantity. I expect after filling this same scrip every month for several years, they would have a process in place to plan on having enough product available to meet upcoming needs. Once I get past this specific problem, I am done with CVS in Third Lake. read more

I used to go to this store for our family's needs as we are in between this one and the one on Grand Ave. Kelly, the pharm tech, was always so helpful and kind. Always helped with finding the right OTC meds so as not to interact with our daily meds. Took time out from what she was doing. I stopped going here because the pharmacist (an Asian gentleman) was always cold and rude and wouldnt have our meds in stock, like, EVER, despite being asked to order them. It always seemed like we were problematic. I'd still go this pharmacy because of Kelly, but that wont work when there are no meds to be picked up! read more

I have never felt the need to write a review for an establishment before but here I am today. I am extremely disappointed and quite frankly disgusted at the way I was treated today. I have been having a lot of issues with having to continuously switch a medication I'm on due to pharmacies switching the carrier, dosage, and supply. I came in today to pick up a prescription that I thought would be the same as the previous. After being told they did not carry it but had another brand in stock, I asked about the differences between the medications I have had to take because I am extremely concerned with how they are affecting my health and body due to the constant switching of medications. The pharmacist I spoke to was an absolute know-it-all and a bitch, to put it lightly. She wouldn't take the time to understand or listen to my story, interrupting me constantly, rushing me, and talking down to me. She dismissed any question I had about my medication, and overall, I left the establishment in tears over the way I was treated. Now I am stuck with a medication I know nothing about. read more

Walking across the parking lot, I could tell that I was heading into a well-groomed store. The exterior was a little lacking on the flower display, but it appeared that was simply because most of the products were already purchased. Inside, the aisles were very clean. The inventory was neatly organized which made it easy for me to find what I was looking for. The stock appeared to be constantly replenished as there was an employee working diligently on his shift. Overall, I recommend this place to anyone who needs to grab something quick on their way back from shopping on Randall Rd or someone who is just on a bike ride or nearby. read more

Waited 2 1/2 hours to be seen, although the kiosk said it would only be a 1 1/2 hrs with 3 people ahead of me when I arrived at 9:00 a.m. Then I had to deal with the most condescending woman I have ever met in my 40 years of living. I don't know her name, but she was a younger African American woman. She is without a doubt working in the wrong field. She might do better as a bar bouncer. Three times over the last 6 months we have come in to print pictures. 2 times for enlargements and 1 time for a passport photo. All three times there has been an issue with their printer and they were unable to render services. Do not come to this location to print pictures. Go else where. This review is for the Minute Clinic located inside the CVS location. My boyfriend had a severe tooth ache (which turned into an infection), went on a Saturday because we weren't able to get into a dentist until Tuesday because of a holiday. Got in within 10 minutes which was very nice. The woman on duty checked him out and within minutes said she couldn't do anything. Extremely condescending, spoke down to him, scolded him, and acted as if she were better than him. His face was clearly swollen, he had been vomiting and was having night sweats. She refused to start any type of antibiotics for him to help clear the infection before he went to see the dentist on the following Tuesday. She was awful and I would never recommend her. Paid $89 just for her to treat him that way. We ended up going to the emergency room and within a few minutes they were able to get us the help we needed. Don't ever go to this clinic, waste of time, money and the woman on duty treats you with so much disrespect. Once I find out her name I will update this review with that information. read more

I went to the clinic here. Service was fine I was quite sick. The dr ran my insurance and collected my copay. After a month I received a bill in the mail saying I owed money. I knew this was wrong as I had already paid. I called cvs they said my insurance didn't pay and I had a higher copay. So I called united health care and they informed me it was because cvs billed as if they were a specialist and that is a higher copay. The reality is cvs billed wrong. I called cvs and they claimed they would rebill. A month later another bill I called again. Cvs said it was my insurance and my insurance said the would be happy to pay if the billed correctly. I asked cvs to do a three way call with insurance to straighten this out. Cvs said they were not willing to do that. Cvs said they would refill again. A month later I get a collection notice. Cvs is a scam I paid because I do not want my personal credit hurt but wow. The claim to be resubmitting the bill but the reality is the didn't and instead sent me to collections. NEVER EVER USE THIS STORE THEY WILL SCREW YOU read more

This is for their minute clinic. Our son was seen here and we knew he had bronchitis before he went in. I used to get it every year when I smoked and he had it just last year as well. My wife was also just diagnosed with it less than a week before. It was clearly a bacterial infection already past the viral phase of the infection and the need for antibiotics was obvious. They didn't prescribe any and when I called them the next day asking why and if they could write the script, they said he would have to be seen again and additional charges would be incurred. Also, when he spoke with them the next day and he mentioned the cough, they stated that was a new symptom even after having prescribed a cough supressant the day before. They say minute clinics are supposed to help drive down health care costs, but it will not if not diagnosed properly the first time and additional trips have to be made there or to other health care facilities for the same illness. I've used other minute clinics in the area and they have diagnosed properly the first time. We will never go here for the clinic or anything else again. read more

This CVS Pharmacy is far from my house but I drove up there on a Sunday morning to try to see somebody for my very severe flulike illness. The nurse practitioner examined me and concluded I had a viral illness. I'm an RN myself, so I didn't need to be called "honey" and hear a medical diagnosis from a clueless person. I obviously knew I needed to drink lots of liquids. I tried to reason with her, I might have a secondary bacterial infection, but she wouldn't budge. While I was there she turned away an old lady saying Medicare was not accepted. This person was friendly but incompetent. I was drenched in sweat and felt light-headed. I came very close getting into a car accident on my way home. I got nothing but a great deal of eggravation (the charge to Aetna pending) out of this visit. Both my husband and my son suffered from the very same illness. They both got better after seeing "real" doctors. This paranoia about antibiotics is well founded, but some people might stil need antibiotics. The store was so full of products I had a hard time finding the Pharmacy. What a nightmare. if i could i wouldnt give this "minute clinic " any stars. i went in last week because i got sick from my wedding and im leaving for my honeymoon in 3 days! i waited for about 2 1/2 hours because my regular dr was closed. I knew i was starting to get bronchitis, which i get every year when the weather goes from hot to cold. all i needed was an antibiotic. i told the African American lady why i wasnt feeling good and i needed to get better by my honeymoon, which she RUDELY replied "sorry but your going to be sick on your honeymoon, theres no MAGIC PILL for me to give you. How insensitive can you be? then she went to check my vitals (mind you i have been coughing up mucus ALL week. and she goes. yep! your lungs are perfectly fine! im not even a dr and i knew i wasnt fine! i wouldnt be there if i was lying! my blood pressure was really high because i was so mad and SICK! she ended up giving me liquid codine and a cough medicine and guess what! IM STILL SICK!!! i would never reccomend this place for anyone! It seemed like Jeniifer below and i had the exact same expierence!!! read more
