It's very sad that this Walgreens has closed, but it's even sadder that they still hold a contract so that means that you're still responsible for keeping their property clean. There's a lot of illegal dumping of trash and debris in the front exterior and in the rear by the dumpster area, the illegal dumping is a huge community violation. Shame on Walgreens for not keeping up their property even though the store has closed. You still have a legal liability to come by periodically to clean up their illegal dumping on your property. read more

I'm a teacher that has been teaching in person since October 2020. I get tested regularly at different places depending on appointment availability and qualifications. I went here to get COVID testing- it was free and they had plenty of appointments available. I can understand why. DO NOT GO HERE. Not only did I wait FIVE DAYS (Color and Lhi take two to three days MAX from appointment to result. Color usually gets it to you within 24hrs), my results were inconclusive because the report I had said there were TWO SWABS in my tube. You're only provided with one swab, the worker watched me swab and put it in the tube- then I put the bag in the drawer that slides in for them to receive it. Either way I only had one swab. So I have NO IDEA how two got in there. I have a 6 month old and a 2 yr old so it was a mess just getting there in the first place. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME. September 2022 Update, It was time for us to get the second booster which protected against more COVID variants and Walgreens made it easy for us to get our updated shot without the hassle. Just a little bit of precautionary paperwork was all. Had to present insurance card as well at the time. I found it kind of awkward the speaker announcements in the store. Apparently if a customer tries to buy a locked product in an isle, a loud speaker announcement plays saying what isle the customer needs help at. Had happened to hear "Assistance needed in the Shaving Needs isle" quite often. I do understand that theft is a problem but I would feel kind of awkward myself if I pushed the button to get a product sensitive in nature and the loud speaker blasted saying assistance needed in that isle. Locked up goods have become a regular thing around here and it can be frustrating for people to buy stuff they need. read more

From the start, the parking lot is littered with trash from the parking stalls up until the front door. They removed the trash can because they never emptied it and now people are lining the front door up with their trash. Once inside the door there's a security guard sitting next to the door with their face in their phone. Then you make you way into the store and you're left standing at the many buttons or even the photo counter waiting for a staff member to attend to you. There are staff members that walk by you and look at you like you're just hanging out. I finally asked one for assistance and they just kept walking and stated someone else would assist. I came here a few times to purchase items that I couldn't find at my nearby Walgreens (pre-pandemic & during). During both times, there wasn't much interaction with me and the employees here. Original: 8/29/20 I usually have an okay experience at this Walgreens until today. I brought in my service dog and was kicked out by an African American lady who worked there. I didn't get her name because she kicked me out right away for bringing my dog in. She didn't even ask if my dog was a service dog or not. My mom tried to explain it to her but she wouldn't listen and asked to see my papers (which is illegal and I didn't even bring today). This place needs to train their employees better to be kinder to their costumers and know the law. Update: 2/9/21 Today, my sister and our mom went to the same walgreens again. The same African American worker confronted my mom and accused my service dog of pooping in the store (my dog and I were not there), saying that is why my dog is not allowed in, even though she kicked me out right away and there was no way for my service dog to poop in the store. None of this makes any sense. Also, my dog is completely trained so there's no way she would even poop in the store. She brought in the manager who was nicer than her but apparantly, she was against me bringing in my dog. She really needs to be fired by now. read more

The pharmacy staff are so slow! Whether you're in line inside or at the drive-thru, you'll be waiting for at least 25 minutes until you get called up. The Indian guy working at the window is unprofessional, loud, and rude for no apparent reason. He can't even pronounce names of prescriptions and has the audacity to be rude to me for being quiet every time I go to the drive-thru. He even commented on how I pronounced my street name in a "funny way." I hope the store fires him because he's so immature and rude, especially for an older guy. I would think that the other staff members, who are also older, would find it weird that he acts that way but they are all the same. Just because I'm young doesn't mean you can get away with being rude to me. Respect everyone! And please fire him! read more

A family member and I both had appointments for our COVID booster shots scheduled for this evening, which we scheduled nearly 2 weeks in advance. We arrived about 25 minutes prior to our scheduled appointments. Unfortunately, we were told that this Walgreens had stopped giving vaccines an hour and a half prior to our arrival (nearly 2 hours prior to our scheduled appointments). Honestly at all the Walgreens locations i've been to for same day photo pickups i've never had an issue until this location. I ordered 3 items today around 1pm. The estimated pickup time was 2:36pm. I understood that it could definitely take longer than that so realistically I expected it to be closer to 4pm. I didn't hear any updates by phone or email like I usually do so I called to check in around 4pm. They then told me over the phone that they're unable to make 2 of my items. I was like okay that's fine as long as I could get a refund but was wondering why they never called or emailed to tell me ahead of time. I asked her when it was going to be ready and she said no more than 30 minutes and that she can get it done super fast. I came about 25 minutes after the phone call and she told me that she hasn't even started and needs another 25 minutes to finish it. I understand if it was packed or busy but there was literally no one here and she was just standing around on her phone for a while. Once the item was finally ready there was a scratch on my photo indenting the whole photo. The manager (at least i think she was the manager) rang me up and apologized for the scratch and offered to remake it but I was already in a rush and running later than i planned for. She ended up giving me a discount for my item and made the experience a lot better since she was very apologetic and understanding of the situation. read more

Called numerous times today to find out why prescriptions aren't ready. Some pos in their pharmacy lifts the phone and places the caller back on hold without speaking a word in a never ending loop. If you coninue to hold they let the phone ring one last time then simply hang up. It is located in a toilet bowl area and explains why their customer service is trash. read more

Moved my business to CVS and will never use this Walgreens again. What I like about this location is that they have certain items that Safeway and CVS across the street don't have. I come here for specific items and their prices seem reasonable. I mainly like this location, because it is somewhat off the grid. Also, the red box here almost alway have new releases. That is a plus. There is usually only one register open so it does take some time to get in and out. There are magazines to take from and read as you pass the time. I do it. Lol read more

I have been using this pharmacy for over a year, they know both my husband and I because he picks up my medication for me regularly. Twice now, I have been humiliated because they refused to accept my United States Government issued Permanent Resident Card as ID. I even had my husband's ID with me because I knew there would be trouble. The pharmacist said, 'yeah that's fine', and then under his breath while walking away from me, 'I'm still not going to give you the medication though...'. He even tapped a plastic sign at me saying, 'these are the IDs we accept', as his coworkers behind the counter stared at me when I was crying. My husband had been in a motorcycle accident and I was picking up medication prescribed to him by the trauma surgeon upon discharge. They wouldn't give it to me, until my friend stepped up and had her driver's license with her. I was mortified and extremely upset. Will be finding a new pharmacy. read more

Walgreens on Jackson is failing at the main reason for its being: selling drugs. I spent an hour yesterday trying to get them on the phone. I finally gave up. Earlier, I'd driven there to pick up my prescription, which the Walgreen's website informed me was ready. It wasn't. It required approval of my doctor, and the website had failed to detect this. So when I got there, it wasn't ready and there was no record of my web transaction. This is the second time this has happened. Today I called again and spent 20 minutes connecting with a human. Calling the pharmacy direct only caused more listening to music, ringing, then back to music, and then being dropped. A store that can't utilize their web portal, cannot even answer its phone, and wastes customer time on at least 25% of my visits is failing at its own mission. I'm changing to another drug store, even though in the past I got excellent service from this store. There must have been a management change or the corporation simply doesn't care anymore. How insane that I have to go there in person to resolve this, when I have web access and their app on my iPhone. read more

Rude staff in the pharmacy. The Mexican girl with the short black hair always has attitude for no reason. I went to get my covid shot and she didn't double check for insurance or anything and told me to "wait" in a tone. I was waiting right at the area I was at since I don't know wtf she means by "wait" like a 5 year old. So then she comes up to me and says "wait by aisle 11" and so I did. Also no one assisted me because I was "the only person" in line until other people showed up. Relax, there's no need to be that cocky. Horrible customer service at the pharmacy! Lady was so rude! Got 2 confirmation phone calls yesterday that Rx was ready, went to pick up & was told they didn't have anything. We go today & the lady just cuts us off when we try to explain what happened yesterday. I've been working with patients for 7 years & NEVER have I been rude or that dismissive to a patient, even when patients get rude it's just not in me. I had an appointment for my flu shot, arrived ahead of time per their request to fill out any paperwork necessary, only to be told that I would have to wait 30 minutes because they were under staffed. I explained that I couldn't wait an additional 30 mins because i had another appt and that is why I scheduled this appointment. They were not helpful at all, so I had to leave.
