I come to this place sometimes to get snacks and medicine sometimes if I'm sick. The employees are always very nice and polite. The stuff is a little expensive but you could find some deals on the Walgreens app and some are pretty decent. I've used the photo station a couple of times and they never disappoint me on there so if I have to get photos printed for a special occasion, I'll come there. I never been to the pharmacy section so I have no comment on that. The place does need security outside though because I have notice at times when I come here there are homeless people around asking for money. Overall, the experience is pretty good. read more

Pharmacist frequently calls out on Holiday weekend Saturdays like this Memorial Day weekend 05/24/2026 Saturday and you cannot pick up prescriptions as entire pharmacy must be closed for the day, it is hard for me to pick up during work week, no one send you a text to let you know so you just drive over there and it's closed because they called out sick. Seems like it's always on a holiday weekend then they send you a text the day after the holiday. Are you gonna pick up your prescriptions really the worse pharmacy i have ever dealt with , 2 times miscounted and shorted me on pills, new employees messed up and told me prescription was over $200 when it was on a $10 manufacturer offer , so many mistakes that I now sit in the parking lot after i get pills to count them which is ridiculous read more

Without a doubt the worst pharmacy in hemet. At least you can get thru to a person when you call. It took 4 days to get them to transfer my prescriptions from their pharmacy to cvs. The pharmacist is not the problem she's a nice overworked looking lady it's whoever takes care of stuff like transferring prescriptions. QUIET and EASY-SHOPPING... as I'm writing this there was some guy shoplifting, however please know this RARELY happens. I really like this Walgreens because happenings like that are few and far between. The store is spacious and they seem to have a good stock of supplies. The staff have good communication with each-other, the girl up front could be a little friendlier and more organized. I bought an item that was clearly up for purchase and she said "it wasn't in the system". I thought "well don't put it up on the shelf then". It's pretty lame as she should've known her inventory better. That aside, the store is clean and they had a cool "Hemet" windbreaker. I bought it since it's literally the nicest article of clothing I've seen for this town since forever. I highly recommend they keep up their partnership with local vendors and make more of these kinds of items. The Walgreens is right on Florida/Highway 74 off of New Chicago. It's great for locals in Valle Vista or people who are needing one last snack or treat before heading to Idyllwild. I had knee surgery on 3/6/25. I cannot pick up my Kaiser prescription from East Hemet Walgreens (New Chicago Ave. & Florida Ave.) because they do not take transfers. Why? Bad business. Also, common sense that all pharmacies should take prescriptions from all health care providers. Pathetic! I suggested to the Walgreens manager to send an email to Walgreens owners to fix this policy. read more

Today, January 16, 2022, between 2:55 pm and 3:11 pm, I was at Walgreen trying to get the "VapoSteam" for Vicks Voporizor. I looked through the whole isle, and there was none but found the "Vapo Pads." Since I have never used the VapoPads I wanted to confirm I pressed the button for assistance, and Irene comes. Irene really doesn't like her job or was annoyed. She was so irritated assisting me. I showed her the pictures of the Vapo Steam bottle and said there was none, which is understandable. I asked her if the Vapo Pads works, and she just said, "idk idk what kind of Vaporizor you have." I showed her which one. And she just repeated to say "idk" with such a annoyed attitude. Worst experience with a pharmacy! My fiancé never had an issue with his prescriptions and NEVER had to pay out of pocket at rite aid. We witnessed such a sad situation the other day with an elderly lady going to pick up her prescriptions that are usually covered completely through rite aid and now are not due to Walgreens policy. If your going to take over rite aids patients you should make sure patients prescription coverage isn't affect and also hire more staff!!! We now have to deal with picking up his prescriptions through a money hungry business that doesn't care about their patients and being short staffed. It takes us over 45 mins to pick up prescriptions now and it is impossible to get ahold of someone over the phone. We will be transferring to another pharmacy and I'm sure we won't be the only ones. read more

You will be on the phone waiting on hold 40+ mins called multiple times throughout the day to get my prescription transferred out of there had to drive 2+ hrs to do it in person for them to tell me that my pharmacy has to do it I called my pharmacy and they said other wise! Wednesday my doctor gave me a new medication because the old one wasn't working as well. The head pharmacist notated the prescription not to be filled until my old medication was out, four days from the date of my new prescription. Have you ever heard of such a thing? I am increasingly unhappy with Walgreens prescription service. In the last six months, they have been totally out of my medication on two occasions, once I had to wait for four days out of medication. I am looking for another pharmacy. read more

Pharmacy staff is beyond slow and incompetent. I just moved to Hemet mid January 2019 and had to transfer all my medications from another Walgreen's to this one. It was a major struggle getting them to refill my prescriptions here, even though I had refills. They kept telling me that they couldn't transfer my med's from the other store. After getting the run around from multiple staff members, I finally demanded to speak to the actual Pharmacist and she called my previous Walgreen's to get the prescriptions transferred. Also, I get asked for my I.D. every time I go there, even though they have it in their computer system and I'm picking up non-narcotic medication. I actually just called them today to refill one prescription and was on hold 17 minutes. The staff member got on the line 4 times to ask me to keep holding. Once the 17 minutes hold time came, the phone started ringing and ringing. Instead of a staff member picking up the phone they decided to hang up on me. I do not like this Walgreen's Pharmacy but have to stay with them because it's the closest one to my house. Definitely wouldn't recommend. read more

I can't even rate the store on Lyon and Florida in Hemet. They are very unprofessional. Your on hold forever, to be precise 31 minutes. That's crazy. Don't expect a call or a text when they're done with your prescription,they never complete it. If it's a problem with your prescription you will never know. The actual store as well as the employees are great, but the pharmacy needs some serious help. The drive thru pharmacy is a nightmare. I was in line for 30 minutes with just 1 car in front of me. The 2 Asian pharmacists are very nice, but there is a blonde older women working in there that is as nasty as can be. She doesn't know the meaning of customer service. Just rude, rude, rude. And don't even try to talk to anyone on the phone. You are put on hold forever. I even called the regular part of the store and asked the manager if she could ask the pharmacy to please pick up their phone so I could talk to them. They need to hire more pharmacy techs and step it up a notch. One last negative, the homeless people that live there back by the trash can. They are constantly throwing their trash all over the parking lot, hello...there's a trash can right by you. And one guy who sits in his motorized wheelchair EVERY DAY, and I mean EVERY DAY right by where you pull in the parking lot holding a sign wanting food, money, etc. There was one gal back a few months ago in the middle of the driveway, I had a difficult time maneuvering around her. She looked like she was strung out on drugs. I called the Sheriffs Dept. With all this going on in the parking lot, I do not feel safe going to Walgreens at night. No Way! read more

The employees in the actual store are always cheerful and helpful. The pharmacy, not so much. I've had a couple issues with the pharmacy and when I tried to speak with the manager I couldn't understand a word she said. 5 stars for the store, 1 star for the pharmacy. read more

The pharmacy used to be excellent, now it the worst place to go, they take forever and a day even when there is no customers, I don't know if they are under staff or uneducated but very little gets done in a timely manner, some of the staff speaks broken English and this is hard to understand, this is very important they need to speak clear so we can get the right medication.... Limited staff I get it, but when it's my turn to be helped I expect to be helped completely..staff should not divide their attention to 3-4 other customers! Worst costumer service, -Patty- specifically is very rude to certain people, when people go in the store they are customers, it doesn't matter what the skin color is or what they're wearing, discrimination is just everywhere these days..and it's very very sad. I am .5 miles from this Walgreen. When I found out with my new Medi-Cal. I could use walgreens as my pharmacy, I was happy. The store itself is great and the people working it are great and very helpful. I did not have equal experence with the pharmacy. I have had so many problems I dropped off my new prescriptions on a Thursday. It is now Tuesday and still having problems. Over the weekend I waited on hold two different times waiting over 1/2 an hour both times. It's Tuesday and called to just get addition problems with pharmacy employees. The issues I had were mistakes they made and not understand what was needed. I will be going to another Walgreens 3.5 miles from me. I did talk to managers twice but still not happy. read more
