I arrived at the pharmacy counter at approximately 8:40 PM and joined the queue. I waited patiently while the customer ahead of me was being served a process that took well over 15 minutes, causing a significant delay entirely outside of my control. At approximately 8:55 PM, a pharmacy staff member in a blue uniform approached me and informed me that the pharmacy was now closed and that I would need to return another time. I was given no opportunity to be served, despite the fact that: 1. I was physically present and in line BEFORE the closing time. 2. The excessive delay was caused by the transaction ahead of me -- not by any action on my part. 3. I was not warned at any point during my wait that I might not be served. 4. No reasonable effort was made to accommodate a customer who had been waiting in good faith. This is not simply an inconvenience depending on the nature of the prescription, a refusal to dispense medication to a patient already waiting in line can have serious health consequences. Turning away a customer who arrived before closing, due to a delay the customer had no part in creating, is both a failure of customer service and potentially contrary to your own service standards. read more

It was 1:45 on a Saturday afternoon, nobody in the store, let alone the pharmacy. I walk up to the window to pick up a single prescription and the rude kid behind the counter said we are closing for lunch. I asked politely to pickup a pre-ordered prescription because we were heading out of town. He said no, come back in 30 minutes and closed the awning. Wow, that's great customer service. The wait time here is pretty much always rough. Not sure if it's a staffing issue or if they're just not efficient with how tasks are designated because it's been like this for a long time now. I hear ppl in line sighing and tapping their feet as I'm writing this. I was also told that a medication would be ready yesterday and of course, I come today and it isn't ready which has led to an even more extended wait. I only come here because it's close to my home. Ive been calling them since Monday and nope. Prescription isnt ready and this is Wednesday. The doctors office is saying they faxed in the order 3 times, Walgreens is saying they ddnt receive it. I asked the Walgreens to call doctors office and not sure if that is done. Now I have a terrible cold. Called Walgreens again. Was on hold for 20 min. Soneone finally picked it up at 330 and told me meds will be ready in 15 to 20 min. It's 615 and nope its not ready. There are 20 other people here waiting for prescription. One of them has been here since 1 and was called andtold his prescription is ready for pick up at 2. Well, they do not know where it is. I need to find a new pharmacy. read more

This review is solely for the pharmacy tech assistants. Make sure you open your prescription and check the dosage . My PC Dr put specific dosage for 4 months , each month increasing the dose . I had to come back 3 times . 1st time they said they didn't have it and notification for pick up was on accident or idk . 2nd time, I picked up and opened the package at home ... VERY HIGH DOSE GIVEN. Called them and said to return it ( despite policy of no returns ) also another pharmacist or tech said to keep it and just pick up right dose . ---- a cluster F of mixed info . 3rd time was the charm . Finally got it right but didn't even bother with pharmacist consult. They didn't want to deal with me . ---- I'm sorry but should I have not been paying attention to the dose I was handed , I would've been in the hospital Sick AF ... THIS WAS SERIOUS. Moved to the Woodbury neighborhood 6 months ago because its absolutely beautiful but has to be the most unfriendly community I've ever been. Clearly a cultural thing that obviously applies to this Walgreens location. You ask for help and they act like you asked a personal question...is a certain culture not allowed to speak to men? Cashiers greet and converse with women then not say a SINGLE word to men. Every.Single.Time. If thats the case dont work with the public, it's awkward. read more

Then they told me they would need to contact my doctor for additional information and never did. I share the same sentiment about this place as everyone else. Very slow. I was 3rd in line thinking I had a good spot. Waited an hour and there was no movement. The line ended up backed up to the front door. Not because they were "busy" but because they were slow. Everyone had issues with their order in the system. Pharmacists had to sign off prescriptions and nowhere to be found. Meanwhile the store was getting full of sick people coughing everywhere so I just left. Terrible pharmacy. The service is horrible. The wait times, in person and on the phone and in the drive thru, are awful. They run out of meds even when you get them every single month. I spent an hour in-line just to pick up a prescription that was all filled and ready to go. One employee working the line, and it was 12 people deep. BEWARE OF INCOMPETENCE, LACK OF KNOWLEDGE, AND DECEPTION!!! My medication was filled improperly, so I went back for what should have been an easy and quick fix. The initial problem was I was given a liquid medicine that was unmixed; they forgot to add the 2nd part of the solution. This means the medication they gave me was either undiluted and dangerously strong, OR, it was only the dilution mixture and was completely missing the actual medicine I need. The 2 pharmacy techs AND the actual PHARMACIST somehow couldn't wrap their heads around this and kept giving me unmixed, incomplete solutions! The whole story is way more horrific than what I have space to write, but PLEASE BEWARE AND CHECK YOUR MEDICATIONS!!!! You can find a lot of things at this store. Range from candies, skin care, on site pharmacy etc. what I like about coming here is you can order passport photos. You may have to wait for someone to be available to take photos for you but the processing time is 15 minutes. They also show you the proofs and let you choose which one you would like to use for your passports. One set of 2 photos cost $16. read more

How do I give negative 5 stars to this place. If you're choosing this pharmacy for its convenient location, reconsider, because what time you might save on its convenient location will be erased with not only the long lines there but waiting even more for medication to be ready beyond the time they tell you. I've encountered a few occasions where the line is long and my meds are not even ready multiple hours after the doc has called in a prescription - one time my doc called in a prescription before 10am and the meds weren't even ready around 5pm. I had to wait even though the doc called it at the beginning of the day. Today was the last straw. I called in to refill my prescription at 8am, and after providing the automated system with my prescription number and going through some prompts, it said my refill would be ready after 11am, but when I showed up at close to 6pm, it was not ready, and while I was waiting in the long line, I overheard another customer say that he had been waiting there an hour and was told it'd be ready in an hour but it wasn't. When I got to the window and told them I was told my meds would be ready after 11am, he explained that the phone system - although it was the number on my first prescription bag I received - does not talk to the pharmacy. Not one even bothered to look at me let alone say someone will be with you. They literally just ignored my presence. So, you know how when you watch Undercover Boss and they'll show an employee who is pretty awesome and they give him/her a promotion? Well, that is Ron in this store. I've never been in here before but my wife asked me to pick up some medicine on the way home and this is where I stopped. There was a little line for the the registers and Ron was on of the cashiers. He was so friendly with the customers, even greeting everyone as they walked in the door. When I worked in retail management, I would have wanted to clone this guy! When it my turn to pay, he was the cashier. I told him he earned an A+ for his customer service and he was so appreciative. He said I made his day. So, Walgreens, Ron should be promoted to Director of Customer Relations Training! He is one heck of an employee! read more

Really long wait for pharmacy compared to other pharmacies. Last time using this pharmacy.

There is always a very long line for the pharmacy no matter what time you go. Then, there are employees in the pharmacy just standing around doing nothing other than chatting with one another. Only one person actually seems to interface with patients. Plus they rarely have needed medications in stock--even those that are on auto refill. Any time you call, you are on hold for at least 20 minutes. read more
