I've given this salon time and time to redeem themselves as they 1) implement unspoken "rules" that none of the other Ulta locations implement and 2) have an extremely rude demeanor with their clients (as someone who is Ulta Platinum member so I've invested thousands of dollars) I had an appointment standing with a stylist for a blowout (another stylist at another location from Ulta canceled me day before as that stylist was sick), she called me if I could come in earlier since she had a no show, and I said I'd try but it would be hard since I have a meeting before my appointment. (Mind you I originally was 2:15pm and moved up by only 2 hours). I got in at around 12:20pm after parking (keep in mind Whole Foods is flooded with people who will run and walk even if you are finishing driving through) and the receptionist went to go chase down the stylist. They went to the break room and this larger manager hispanic with glasses yelled loudly after 5 minutes for the store to hear "Well you were 10 minutes late so she can't see you". I explained how I came a few minutes late and it would just now be ten minutes (mind you i Booked a Blowout) and most salons have a grace period? and she repeated herself loudly saying it wouldnt be fair to the other clients coming in (you mean the clients who no show but i showed up????) forget it go see Iris in Ulta on Orange or Rose in Marketplace read more

The few times I have been to this Ulta, it is disorganized and out of merchandise. Also not inviting and looks unclean. I went in, for the last time, the other night. An Ulta credit card was offered to me, at the register. I responded that I already have an Ulta credit card. I was then informed that I didn't have the correct credit card and therefore was not eligible for the birthday gift. I was spending between $100-$200. I then decided to take my business elsewhere. Your major competitor runs a preferable, well stocked and organized store. Do better! read more

A week and a half ago, I went to look for skincare products and makeup. I was lucky enough to be assisted by a young woman named Melissa, and I simply had to write this review. She was incredibly kind to me--I am a 55-year-old woman. She helped me find a foundation and tested several shades on my skin, along with concealer, moisturizer, lipstick, and eyebrow pencils. While assisting me, she had no problem answering my questions and simultaneously helping another customer who had been there before me. I was absolutely delighted with the products she recommended and the empathy she showed me; it is not easy to find someone in a store who helps you the way she did. I was there today and the employees were just rude. They don't acknowledge customers, talk way too much to each other instead of being focused on working (since that's the whole point of them even being there lol), and they didn't even greet me. This Ulta seems to always be in stock with the products that I need. Sometimes when you need assistance, there isn't a lot of people around to help you. It's mainly the girls at the front of the store who are the only ones working, with the exception of one floor associate who's constantly restocking, reshelving, or rearranging items. Anyways, they have what I need and I love the Ulta Rewards system. Parking is very easy as there are often parking stalls open on this side of the plaza. read more

Incompetent and frustrating experience with online order pickup I placed an online order for pickup and added my dad as the alternate pickup person since I just had surgery and couldn't get it myself. I made sure his name was on the order and gave him the order number, thinking this would be a simple and smooth process. It absolutely wasn't. When my dad went to pick up the order, the staff gave him a hard time from the start. Even though he was listed as the alternate pickup person and had the order number, they told him there was no package under his name. Eventually, they managed to locate the order using the order number. The bag clearly had my name on it, my dad even showed a photo ID to confirm he was picking it up on my behalf. But then the girl at the counter (who was completely unhelpful and clearly didn't know what she was doing) told him she couldn't give him the order unless he told her what was inside the bag. Excuse me?? How is he supposed to know the exact items I ordered, let alone their names? What kind of ridiculous policy is that? He was authorized, he had ID, he had the order number. Making him guess what was inside the bag was beyond unnecessary and just made the whole process stressful and disrespectful. I don't know if it's lack of training or common sense, but I won't be ordering from here again. If you're offering an "alternate pickup" option, maybe make sure your staff knows how it actually works. read more

Ulta is very unique in that is mainly a makeup and hair care store for women. But they do have some men's items. Today I went to pick up something for my wife, so while she was in one store I came here to get her an eyebrow pencil. For all the men out there, I suggest that you use the "Notes" feature on your smart phone and write down all of the things and sizes that your girlfriend or wife use or like. This way when birthdays or anniversaries come. You have a whole list of stuff you can surprise her with without asking her first. Also the eyebrow pencil was not that expensive as I thought it was going to be way higher. More points to get free stuff read more

Had such a terrible experience getting extensions in. I went in for a consultation with the stylist Hani and was told to buy extensions from Amazon and sent a link. I retuned a few weeks later with my extentions and had them put on. These were put on with the Ulta brand tape to ensure quality. I was given no aftercare instructions and sent off. Within 2 days all of the extentions fell out, taking my (already thin) hair out with them. When I went back to the store, I was told that they could not do anything for me. No refund, no offer to reinstall, nothing. Now I am left with -$600 and incredibliy damaged hair. This is my first time writing a review, but I just would not want someone else to go through this terrible experience. read more

Came in here to redeem a birthday item for my wife. You have to show the barcode from your email to receive it from the register since they keep it behind the registers. The associate was very helpful throughout the transaction and I was in and out pretty quickly. It didn't feel weird at all that I was a guy walking into this store. It was very clean/organized and there was barely any foot traffic during the weekday afternoon. The sales rep handed me this box of Sauvage Dior. I realized it was fake once I opened the wrapping. Everything about it seemed fake. The box quality, the tilted writing the smell! It smelled like rubbing alcohol. I quickly drove back to get a return or my money back. The sales rep that handed it to me knew it was a fake once she saw it and the manager did too. The worst part was they did not apologize or offer a coupon for my trouble. Honestly, you assume that $100+ colognes here are real but now I don't think I can trust this store. This review is specifically for the "Salon". I went in for a haircut that cost $62 and I literally could have gone to Supercuts for what I got. I wanted curtain bangs and little trim, I left with no bangs and just an awful experience. I didn't want her to bring out the scissors again or I would have complained about the cut. Do NOT come here for any salon services, I should have known better. I walked out with frizzy hair and a half-assed experience. People shouldn't be called "curly specialists" if they are not. I was very excited but that quickly dissipated once I sat in the chair and didn't get anything I was hoping for. read more

Actually do not waste your time going to this ulta. At 6:30pm you have employees complaining about not wanting to work and NO ONE is on the floor to help you. I had to hunt down an employee to find help for skin care, and she found another employee to "help". There was no proper communication between the two employees, the new employee asked me if I was looking for foundation in front of the skin care section and recommended me products I already had in my hand. The new employee that "helped" me had absolutely no idea what she was talking about. When I get to the register, the cashier asked if everything went well today, I responded with "no" and only asked if I needed to ship something. Maybe if the people at this Ulta did their job I would have found something to ship! Until they train their employees on how to do their job I actually would never come here again. read more
