An uptick in star rating? You don't say! Yes, after hitting 4 decades old, I now have a prescription to fill every month. Hey, it could be worse, as one RX is better than two! I was going to start my prescription at CVS but they don't take my insurance, nor have a drive thru pharmacy. Their loss! This location is conveniently located for me, isn't very busy, and has a double drive thru pharmacy, though only one lane is ever open. Their app works well as you can scan the bar code on the bottle to re-order, and see past and current orders. But, what's even more convenient is their automatic emails that seem to arrive at just the right time before completely running out, and giving leeway for your doctor to approve your order. Simply reply, and done. Automatic phone calls even come, keeping me up to date on the order. Nice touch! SERVICE: Every time I've gone in, I've had good and quick service at the pharmacy. I noticed the total seemed high so I checked the receipt at home. I bought 7 items, 6 of the 7 items were charged higher than the shelf price. This is either a scam (which seems unlikely from a national chain) or the staff are just wildly incompetent at keeping the store up to date. I definitely won't be back. read more

This Kahului Walgreens has a photo department that does an excellent job of making passport photos or other photo gifts for the holidays and prints. Currently Walgreens is offering 50% off of photo items using the code "thank you". I ordered 40 Christmas cards with four photos. Of course these projects always take a few hours. I picked up the cards yesterday and when I opened them to look at the final product both cards had additional white spaces where the photo should have been. Not only did Michelle refund me, she said when I placed the order to call her so she could make sure the photos looked good. I placed a new order and one turned out good and one did not. By calling her and having her look at both cards, she saved me additional time and stress. Thank you Michelle and Lei for helping me. read more

I would give it zero stars, but then I can't leave a review. So I wrote a review a while back saying this is the worst Pharmacy I've ever been to. I was hoping I could come back and say they've changed but they've gotten worse. So today I went to pick up my prescription and they asked for my ID. When I gave them my ID they said it did not match the prescription therefore they couldn't process or give me my prescription. I am a handicap woman and I have a lot of pain. I've taken off work early to go get this prescribed medicine. If Walgreens changed their policy, they should notify their customers. Really frustrating to take time to drive there the last 4 days and to not be able to pick up medicine. Ordered photos from here last week and the lady was just really rude when I asked if the photo department was open she gave me a mean and rude look and told me to follow her so I did and she took almost 20 minutes just to find my photos and she kept asking me for my phone number at least 10 times in a row. Never ordering photos from this Walgreens again they need to get more organized. They shouldn't have people waiting 20 minutes just to pick up photos. Came here for redbox movie. They have a small selection of recent movies. Most of the ones in there I've seen. However, the store has excellent selection of makeup. Mascara are for $4 What!! I was mauling over to buy it because it's such a good deal! Nail polish also under $5 so take your time walking around makeup area. They have a lot of great name brands on sale. Just bought mascara for under $2 OMG doesn't matter if I have some..lady can never have too many cosmetics lol! I bought my cousin a cute cup cozy. Check out the pic! lol We ended up getting movie snacks; popcorn and candy..only the necessities. They don't have Ocean organic vodka. Must be good if they're sold out. Staff is friendly went to get passport photo and the lady was helping elder lady with her photos, then took my picture for my passport & told me approx. 10 minutes. I like Walgreens, the store. The people that work there are really nice. But their PHARMACY!!! The Kamehameha Avenue Walgreens literally has THE WORST PHARMACY I have EVER been to. Not because of the wonderful ladies that work in the pharmacy, because Stacia and Deanna really are awesome! The Walgreens pharmacy sucks because of Allison, THE PHARMACIST. I can't tell you how many times she has harassed not just me, but two of my doctors as well. If they write me a prescription, she will go back and forth with them on the phone, making them jump through hoops, telling them to write different scripts to satisfy her neurosis, all the while being extremely rude to us... When did pharmacists suddenly become doctors, thinking that they know better than the real doctors we go to?? Allison should be ashamed of herself, she doesn't have the right to play God with people's lives, and certainly not mine! I have heard from other pharmacists that several people have complained about her too. They go to other pharmacies now, just like me, and my entire family. I suggest you do the same. read more

Will NEVER shop here again, I went with my mother to get her prescriptions - the lady behind the pharmacy counter was rude, arguing with my mother about whether she should have the prescriptions - while refusing to call the Doctor if she needed clarification?!? While (finally!) waiting for them to be filled I tried to distract my mom from the upset by browsing - only to be on the other side of the isle when the lady from the pharmacy walked through the store talking to some guy - loudly mocking the conversation she had just had with my mother. I followed them to the front of the store and asked an older lady cashier (who was very nice) if I could speak with the manager - only to find out the manager was the guy who had just left with the pharmacy lady. I contacted the regional office to complain - I received no response from the regional office but did receive a nasty voice mail from the Manager telling me to call him because (quote) "Apparently we need to discuss your problem with our store" Long's it is then - from now on! I have never had cause to complain of either the service or products available there. read more

My under age daughter was going to having her driving test done but, she forgot to bring her glasses, Edite was fabulous, help my daughter find the perfect glasses right way. Ordered a same day pick up photo cookbook yesterday for my son's senior project ... when we went to pick it up apparently it was incomplete. I called the Store immediately after discovering the error and a woman by the name of Michelle with no hesitation helped resolve the issue. She found the issue on their end and graciously apologized and had the book redone. She compensated me for their inconvenience with a complimentary keepsake cookbook. I just recently switched insurance and needed prescriptions filled. The Safeway Pharmacy in Kihei said they couldn't fill them (something about my insurance), which upset me terribly since I knew the scripts were covered by my plan. Jazzy (the Pharmacy Tech at Walgreens) apologized for my experience at Safeway and quickly started on getting my scripts filled. It took a little while because I didn't have my insurance card, but with the help of his staff, Jazzy was able to find me in the system and make sure I won't have any issues in the future. I'm so grateful for Jazzy and the staff at Walgreens. Very helpful and friendly. read more

I needed a prescription filled for acute onset of shingles. After waiting in line for 20 minutes I was told they are not taking new customers. I pointed out that I had been waiting in pain and I was unaware that walgreens pharmacy is not taking new customers. The manager came to tell me they are going for lunch and it will take 2 hours to fill the medication. I can go to the Emergency room if I have pain was another inappropriate ignorant suggestion. I would not return to this place if my life depended on it It should be made public that this Walgreens pharmacy is not taking on new customers. I came from my physician's office and truly did not need the advice of a pharmacy tech. to proceed to the E.R. instead of getting my prescription filled. read more

I never had a problem with them until recently. I go there all the time for my boyfriends prescription for his asthma. We go the the drive through Pharmacy and and get there Couple of minutes before 8, the time they close, but someone else was in front of us. After the people in front of us get helped they drive off then we pull up. As we pull up, keep in mind we were waiting in line for a little while and they knew we were there, the girl at the drive through window puts up the sign saying they're closed. The clock literally just turned 8 as we got to the window. My boyfriends inhaler ran out and he has severe asthma. I told her this and told her we were waiting and got here BEFORE they closed. This girl at the window wasn't having it and didn't give any fucks. She told me there was "nothing" she could do and continuously said "it's out of her hands" which was bull shit because they've helped us out MANY times before AFTER 8:00pm. I consistently explained how severe his asthma is and how frequently he needs his inhaler. I then asked what am I suppose to do when he can't breathe in the middle of the night. HER RESPONSE! "There's an ambulance". She spent a good 10min arguing with us instead of taking two minutes to do a simple transaction! A description of this heartless bitch, she's is Caucasian with freckles and on the heavy side. If Walgreens was smart they would get rid of her. All my other transactions were okay with the other workers and were caring. But for someone to tell me that I can call the ambulance when my boyfriend is having an asthma attack instead of just selling me an inhaler to prevent all that scare is VERY RUDEans inconsiderate. One of the most inconsiderate things that I have ever heard in customer service. read more

Staff is very rude. Just asking for help in locating an item and they get their panties in a bunch. I recommend going to Kehalani LONGS as their staff is very friendly and willing to help you even when you didn't even ask for help. I appreciate that and they can teach a thing or two to the staff of Kahului Walgreens. read more

Switched over since the Walgreens on Wells closed down. Everything went smoothly with the pharmacy until I switched codes for my medical. Went through drive through to get a couple prescriptions but was told there was no coverage for a defendant that was under my coverage. After approximately 15 minutes I was told everything was fixed and I shouldn't have a problem. On my very next visit went there and spoke with the same person who helped me. First off, after paying for my prescriptions, she tells me that a co defendants meds weren't covered. I reminded her that we had the same issue prior and it was supposed to be fixed. After making checks I was told I that it wasn't showing up as covered. I just paid and left not wanting to deal with the bs. I will never go to any Walgreens again because of this! read more

I am soooooo upset with my visit to Walgreens Pharmacy. I've been coming to this exact pharmacy location for 3 years and this may have just been the straw that broke the camels back for me. A little over a year ago I dropped off a prescription for Acutane and the girl at the pharmacy lost my prescription. Couldn't be found anywhere. At the time, I was really upset because that prescription was about to expire and if you don't get it filled you have to wait another month to get another one! Luckily the girls working at that time were really helpful and were able to call my doctor and get a new prescription over the phone. Also the next time I visited the pharmacy manager, Clarissa, personally apologized to me and they all made me feel very validated. Now this time, I dropped off a prescription for Triazolam, and girl helping me wouldn't take my passport card as a valid ID. This made me pretty upset considering I JUST picked up this EXACT SAME prescription from the EXACT SAME Walgreens like 3 weeks prior, with no issues. I told the girl that... so she said she had to ask the Pharmasist. She called over the Pharmasist and the Pharmasist said, "Yeah that's fine." But then the girl argued with her! The Pharmasist told her "No it's fine. We can take it." And the girl argued against it again. So the Pharmasist changed her mind right there in front of me! How can you say yes and then say no 30 seconds later? Just because you helper didn't want to take it. This is the last straw with Walgreens Pharmacy Kahului. I WILL NOT be going there ever again. I used to love Walgreens. All the cashiers in the store know me. It's so close to my house, I go there all the time. I don't think I can go back. The girl working was argumentative and rude. So insensitive. She was practically scolding me for not having a drivers license. Sorry I can't drive. A passport card is my only ID. I have an ongoing medical issue at the moment and I would've liked to continue filling my prescriptions at a Walgreens. But I'm not going back if I keep having to encounter unprofessional staff members. No consistency. I even asked the 2 people working, "How can you take this exact same ID for 3 years straight, and fill this EXACT SAME prescription 3 weeks ago without an issue and then suddenly change your policy?" Switched over from longs because the wait time was too long and now I'll be switching back. Staff actually lost my prescription and tried claiming I never dropped it off. I told them to watch the security tapes and they'd see me clear as day. After 30 minutes arguing about it they found it. Then said they couldn't process my insurance because their system was down. What a joke these guys are. Walgreens, how can a medical pharmacy fail on so many levels in a day. You should teach your staff some professionalism and accountability.
