I've been very sick for the last week and needed to have 7 prescriptions filled. They were out of two items but didn't check to see if any of the other Walgreens had them, just said they could order them. Since I'm having trouble breathing, I really didn't want to wait so I called around and was able to get the out-of-stock items filled at a different location. The next day my husband went to pick up the remaining items. Before he left, I went to the Walgreens website and cancelled two items online, one because I realized I already had some at home and one because I had picked it up the day before at the other location. I thought that would be easier than telling my husband which ones to get and which ones to leave. Boy, was I wrong! He came home with 5 prescriptions including the ones I'd cancelled. Knowing this would be difficult, I dragged myself and the two cancelled prescriptions to the Walgreens to return them. They asked me if they'd left the store and I said yes, and they said they can't accept returns on items that had left the store. I understand the policy and it's a good one but it was THEIR mistake so I said "I don't care what you do with the medications but I'm not going to pay for something that I canceled." They repeated their position so I repeated mine and the woman behind the counter said let me get the manager who essentially just repeated the same thing. She had to call a higher level manager to get approval and then made it clear to me that this was a "one and done" and I needed to do a better job of communicating to my husband what needs to be picked up. I replied that I thought their computer systems needed to do a better job of communicating between online and the store. When I told all this to my husband he asked me "On what planet is it the customer's job to make sure that the pharmacist isn't dispensing drugs that they're not supposed to be passing out?!" read more

Do not send prescriptions here. If you are looking for a pharmacy in the area, go to the King Scoopers right now the road. Their staff is competent and professional compared to Walgreens. I had a sick child today and they told me "hundreds" of people were ahead of me and I couldn't wait. My doctor sent the prescription elsewhere and we had it in minutes. This staff was so rude and unprofessional I've never left a review before but felt compelled to comment on this team. read more

I go here fairly often for Walgreens-branded medicines, which I think are just as good as the brand name. Walgreens has a fairly good loyalty program that accumulates money that you can use towards purchase. This store usually has what I need in stock. They're also very good on greeting cards and on specialized batteries. The one down-side is that we have persistent problems with one prescription. This one is actually the prescribing doctor's fault, but Walgreen's doesn't handle it very well. The doctor prescribes a 2-month supply, but the insurance will only cover one month. When we ask for a refill, Walgreen's simply cancels the order without telling us anything, so we keep expecting the prescription to be ready and it never comes. It took a while to figure this out. We're trying to get the doctor to fix the prescription, but in the meantime the solution is to go in to the store and ask them to do a partial fill of one month's supply. This works, but it is a nuisance. (Actually it gets worse. In the current episode of the prescription problem, they agreed to fill one month's supply, and notified us later that day that the prescription was ready. But when we got to the store, they said it was actually not ready: they were out of stock and would not have any more for 3 or 4 days. So I am knocking them down to 2 stars for falsely saying it was ready.) read more

Me and my friend went here to buy some stuff for her upcoming trip and the girl at the register (Samantha read her nametag) was literally so rude to us for absolutely no reason. We had picked out this moisturizer from the travel sized section that was listed as 12$ and when we were checking out my friend was charged 39$ for it and when she brought it up to the cashier she audibly grunted in complaint and walked away saying she was going to get the manager. Once we had everything figured out she is trying to ring us up again and she's rolling her eyes and talking to us in the weirdest like blank tone. This Walgreens literally saved my life today. Having a sore throat for days, and having my travel companion be diagnosed with strep had me a bit concerned about what was going on inside my throat. Seeing on the Walgreens website that this location accepted my insurance off I went to get in line for their walk in clinic. Upon arrival I checked into the electronic kiosk (one of two at this location, which are found at the rear of the store near the pharmacy). I was surprised to see that appointments were booked solid for the next three hours (darn back to school sports physicals!). Little had I known that I should have made an appointment online ahead of coming in. You live and you learn I guess. What did I do? I hung around, and hung around some more. During my hangout session I checked out some of the goods. Including but not limited to bright colored stuffed animals, essential oils, and take home tests upon tests. Thankfully for me two appointments backed out at the last minute as the Dr. was unable to administer vaccinations to persons under 7 years old. In I went for some friendly chatting, a rapid strep test, and a prescription for some much needed medication. Dr. Vantol could not have been any sweeter. So friendly, courteous, professional, and approachable (he even recommended a great new book for me to read, which I've already placed on hold at the library). Two separate occasions in the last 6 months, with two different doctors, the pharmacy here failed to actually submit requests for refills of an important medication. Leaving me to think we were waiting on these doctors and leaving me without an important med. I had just barely recovered from the last time this happened when it happened again this week. So no more. All prescriptions will be transferred out of there. Not to mention did you know that if you buy certain things from there and need to return them for any reason that they won't refund the full amount? No! There is a return 'value' that is less than you paid. Check your receipts. Also the manager on duty couldn't even explain why, only that 'the system is set up that way' (this was the customer in front of me experiencing that, not me). Be cautious. In late March and early April is when Walgreens has their unofficial spring cleaning clearance sale. If you are a bargain hunter, this is for you! I have found items that were marked down 75 to 90% off! Now I can't speak for all locations, some will be better than others but it's the thrill of the hunt and the strange sense of euphoria I get when I see something that was originally priced at $5 now marked down to .50 cents. I sometimes find myself driving to several different locations in one day to sustain the feeling of jubilation. I have not had a chance to check out the pharmacy or the photo department but the employees always seem to be friendly and helpful and the check out counter always seems to go fairly quickly. Some times not everything rings up at sale price but a quick price check usually clears that right up. read more

Very poor service all around. Would not recommend anyone to go here for anything especially prescriptions. They are rude and don't care that your there to get medicine because your sick, they have no respect for there customers. I honestly could not believe the Asian gentleman (lack of polite word choice) He was the rudest person Inhave ever encountered in the service business. I am writing corporate a letter as they have an address just for things like this. (Adding update) Again, just bad service. This location is in such a nice town, but 2nd time here with terrible service. So unfortunate! I've recently had health issues (UTI, viral rash) that needed attention, but not a whole hospital's worth of attention. I have no health insurance. A friend told me about the Take Care Clinics at Walgreens, which was an answer to my prayers. I love the Take Care Clinic here. The nurse practitioners are excellent. Paul Van Toel is a great one. They have saved me many hours and dollars by allowing me to avoid the big health care centers in town. The wait times and the prices are miniscule when compared to urgent care or emergency room care clinics. It's nearly impossible to find the phone number for the Take Care Clinic. It's not on the websites or phone recordings. Here it is: 1-855-925-4733. That's 855-WALGREENS. Make an appointment so you don't have to wait more than 15 minutes. After your appointment, you can call to ask a question (which they strongly encourage you to do). The nurse practitioners' call back times are directly related to how YOU describe the situation. Be specific about when you are expecting a return phone call. You might say, "please call me back within the next two hours. I'm concerned about this," or "It's not urgent. I just need to know if I'm doing this right, and I think I am." You get the picture. I've always gotten a call within 24 hours of asking. Even though I HIGHLY recommend the Take Care Clinic, there are two drawbacks to the system. You can't see the same nurse practitioner on request. And I can't buy meds at Walgreen's because they are too expensive.* Overall, the store and the Take Care Clinic are GREAT COMMUNITY RESOURCES. And just as an added bonus, the Walgreens locally carry the best Colorado souvenir t shirts in the whole area. *I go to Costco's for my prescription meds, if possible. You don't have to be a member to use the pharmacy there. However, they don't take credit cards, only debit, cash, and checks. The prices are worth it. I take two meds that would cost me $289 a month at Walgreen's. The nurse practitioners at Walgreen's advised me to shop around for my meds, something I have never done before. I finally got on the phone and called around. The same meds at King Soopers costs $148, and I priced them at Pharmica in Boulder for $109, and then I found out I could get them at Costco for $30. Was told prescription would be ready next day, Saturday. Did not get notification that it was ready the next day and called back. Was told, "we need prior authorization from your doctor." Now I am without my prescription until Monday but this could have been solved yesterday when I called. I pointed this out and the staff member did't seem to care. No accountability and no help. We have a son who was born premature and has had high medical needs for the last 4 years so to say we frequent the pharmacy is an understatement. We deal with several doctors and two insurance companies and it can get complicated at times. Ryan (Pharmacist) and Jessica (Pharmacy Technician) are absolutely AMAZING! They have been nothing but helpful and kind. The medical world can be overwhelming at times so when you come across individuals like Ryan and Jessica it's a true blessing! Today I went to Walgreens and waited in line as everyone else, I was next in line when a employee had told a man behind me to go ahead due to I was there first and she had told me to wait and told the gentleman to come first, "I am assuming they knew each other." She preceded to walk away came back. And pointed to the wrong place and I had to ask another employee. After finding what I needed I go to check out and she almost let another customer come in front of me AGAIN! She didn't make eye contact nor did she say anything to me, just processed to pack my stuff up and talk to the other customer. Twice in a row extremely rude. The name of this employee was Cynthia. I am a regular there, I get a lot of the things from this Walgreens, first time this has happened and my first encounter with her was for sure not appropriate. The worst! They tell you prescription will be ready in an hour and 6 hours later still wait for them to finish. I do understand that sometimes it gets busy and everybody has to wait but this is the constant routine at this store. they never answer phone calls, Do they have any clue of the time people waste going to pick up and not ready at the time THEY said it would be? Terrible customer service! The lady pharmacist is constantly rude and talks under her breath about everyone waiting for a prescriptions to her co workers. A lot of class!!! I don't go to the pharmacy for fun and to be treated like this. Have talked to store manager only to get the usual BS that they are swamped. I have been a loyal Walgreens customer for over 50 years and would mail order if I could but am considering going to Walmart due to the terrible customer service at this particular Walgreens. read more

Recently discovered I have a DVT in my leg which has spread to the lungs. Pretty serious and painful. They tell me at the pharmacy that it will take 1 1/2 hrs to fill. (Why? Are they manufacturing the drug?). The woman says to me "You don't have to wait. I will text you when it is ready". I give her my cell phone number and go home. After 2 hrs I have not received a text so I drive there. I find the pharmacy has closed and I am now stuck without any pain relief. I am forced to drive back to the hospital so that I can beg them for some meds to tide me over. WTF? Outrageous incompetence and lack of concern. Good luck working with these people. read more

Walgreens is a Chain pharmacy and miscellaneous home items store. I have found their prices on things like home goods to be higher than a grocery store's. Their pharmacy does accept most insurance and that's a real plus. You should really call and find out before you go though, because a couple of years ago they didn't take mine and it was a popular brand of insurance. This particular branch doesn't have easy access to neighborhoods so if you are walking and not driving it's not as easy as many are. If your insurance doesn't cover your Prescription, I have found that GoodRX really helps. I was surprised to find that the out-of-pocket on non-covered prescriptions was less at Beaties (straight down Baseline Rd east about 10 minutes away).The pharmacists are usually friendly. I've been going there for over a year and I only got a rude one once. I figure everybody is entitled to a bad day! I like the drive through a lot. On a cold day or if I'm feeling ill, I don't want to get out of my car to get my prescription. read more
