This Walgreens pharmacy is a nightmare when calling in for assistance for a prescription. I've called 7 times and placed on hold for upwards to 35 mins. They have an authorization letter from insurance company but will not honor filling the prescription. And now refuse to take my calls. I will be switching back to CVS. Don't use this pharmacy...all the other bad reviews are true. read more

I wish I could give this pharmacy zero stars. Medication is NEVER ready on time. Even if you call and they tell you it is. They are too lazy to do their job; they claim there are issues with insurance every time I go to pick up my medicine and the insurance says they never receive requests. They "lose" "misplace" "steal" your hard copy of your prescription refills, causing you to have to run around to doctors and get the PROOF from your doctor that they DID infact write/ submit your prescription! To top that off, you'll wait in pharmacy line FOREVER and DON'T even THINK about calling the pharmacy, you'll be on hold and won't get to speak to an ACTUAL Person ONLY to be told that it's the"call center " and then they have to Transfer you to the Actual Pharmacy, where you'll be on hold FOREVER all over again!!! Love this place! I get my pictures developed here...they run specials all of the time...most recently .10 cents if you order 75 prints or more. Flipping sweet deal! Pharmacy, personal care items, and a small food/drink selection. They even started carrying wine! Yes it's true, this is the WORST pharmacy EVER. I tried to go through the drive-thru and was second. The car in front of me didn't move for at least 20 minutes. I was so frustrated I went and parked and went inside. This was not the right decision, I discovered. The line was 5 people deep and didn't move for another 20 minutes. I ended up leaving. My roommate said that it's always busy in the evening so I tried to go before work at 8:30am. I was the only person there. The pharmacist noticed me and said "I'll be right with you!" I said, "Ok!" 20 EFFING minutes later, he finally came up to the counter. I WAS LIVID. I am NEVER using this pharmacy ever again. THEY SUCK!!! read more

After being released from the hospital for a surgery I came here today in extreme pain to fill 20pills and was rudley informed by amanda that she would not be able to fill my script at the 24hr location cause they close in fifteen mins. Even after telling her I was in a lot of pain she replied with "well I dont know what to tell you, you should've come earlier" really I was just released.... and you arent closed yet....... I've been in the customer service industry for over 20 years and to do this to you're customers is just plain rude...... I understand you are wanting to go home but the pharmacy was not closed yet...... imagine if you were buying groceries and the store said "sorry mama we cant sell you this item cause we close in fifteen mins." Pharmacy here is a joke! 3 days, 4 visits, talked to 8 different people...still no meds! On day 3 of dealing with this they tell me they can not even order my medication and have no way of getting it, you didn't know that 3 days ago?? They are rude, unorganized, everything takes forever and they like to blame everything on their "system" not working well. The "system" is not an excuse for poor service and a total lack of knowledge. When I call all I get is a recording that everyone is already on the phone, but nobody ever picks up, its an eternal hold and when you leave a message they never call back. So I have to just keep wasting my time and gas driving over there. Avoid at all costs if you, like me, actually need your medications. read more

Since I was born in Chicago, where Walgreens originated, I have been a lifelong Walgreens customer. Imagine my disappointment when, during the whole four years I have lived in Las Vegas, to have repeated bad experiences with this particular Pharmacy. I get one of the most common antidepressants in the world, every month, for almost four years at this location, yet this location has supposedly ran out of it, twice. I was told this was because of a problem with the manufacturer. Yet other locations, and their competitors, had plenty on hand. Sounds like a blatant lie to me. Also, sometimes the pharmacy drive-thru line can exceed 20 minutes just to drop off a prescription. Then you have to come back several hours later to pick it up and wait in line another 20 minutes. Inside, the wait isn't much better. It's often crowded with many people waiting in line to drop off a prescription or pick up one. In a very crowded waiting area. Calling on the phone hasn't been a good experience either. I have waited as long as 40 minutes on hold, only to have someone pick up the line, and hang up on me! When I called back, I was on hold for another 30 minutes. I am not exaggerating. There is an option to leave a message for the pharmacist, but I have never received a call back. I have decided to use the 24 hour location on Eastern and windmill, or the location of Eastern and Serene, even though it is an inconvenience to go out of my way. It just is not worth the stress, long wait times and disappointment. It doesn't take a business major to see that they are obviously understaffed. I cannot help but wonder if the manager does not hire a sufficient head count in order to make some type of quota that makes him look good to corporate or enables him to achieve some type of bonus. The non Pharmacy part is hit-or-miss. Sometimes you are greeted and checked out by a very friendly cashier who is more than willing to answer any questions or offer any help, other times the cashier obviously does not want to be there at all, and it makes you uncomfortable to have him check you out, like you're inconveniencing him by having him do his job. Still other cashiers are ambivalent - not necessarily rude, but definitely not customer service oriented. Really all this location has going for it is that it is right on my way home from work and the non Pharmacy part is open 24 hours, making it more convenient to run in and get small amounts of health and beauty products, pet supplies, a forgotten grocery item, etc., than going to the 24 hour Walmart which is just way too big when you are tired and just want to get home. All in all, it's really a shame and my mom and dad would be so disappointed to know that the Walgreens they knew and loved allows a store, mainly the pharmacy, like this to operate. read more

The WORST service . I sat in the car for over 3 minutes at the window. Pressed the call button. Over 5 minutes for them to even acknowledge I'm there. Most of my stuff is at Walmart, it's just the closest place in a pinch. That's why they have a line 6 cars at a time, all the time. Usually at least a 20 minute wait. This is the second time that I have been humiliated by Latrecia or whatever is her name at this location. I have shopped at this location for years and never experienced any issues with a cashier. I am a 32 yo woman and I be damn if I let a person treat me like a child. Why do Walgreens give customers the option to clip coupons from their apps? I did not bring in any printed coupons. What is the issue with this black lady? She makes a statement, " We are cracking down on extreme couponers and blah blah blah" She's not paying attention to the guy she's checking out because she is focused on my transaction of $70. She's not the manager, so why is she pretending to be one. Why not apply for that position? I hold an mgmt position and have never humiliated a client or the employees under me. Be appreciative that customers are choosing your company for business. There are so many great businesses that are dying to have the opportunity to operate 100% and not at 50% occupancy. read more

This pharmacy seriously needs to get it's act together. I can deal with the waits, but the mistakes are too much. I have been coming here for at least 10 years, probably longer, but I have finally decided to move my prescriptions elsewhere. I have been given 90 pills for 30 days of pills - which isn't really harmful to me but shows a general lack of control over the medications themselves. A particular medication I have been taking for 7 years, same dosage and everything, they get wrong EVERY SINGLE TIME the prescription is renewed. Every time. They either consider my one month dosage as a 90 day supply and try to triple charge me, or only give me 1/3 of my medication and charge me the full month price (which is $75, it isn't cheap). Even the instructions on how to take the medication on their own labels shows that what they keep trying to say is a 90 day dose is what I would take in 30 days. I have showed them a photo of the exact same med that they correctly provided the prior month (with their label on it and everything). I have shown them a copy of the insurance prescription formulary and the corresponding prescription copays (showing that the full dosage I take in a month is what falls under the $75 copay), and they insist that they are not wrong. Every time, they do the same thing, and are wrong every time, and insist that they are not until we go through a whole song and dance to get someone else to show them that they are wrong. I have had to skip my meds multiple times to create a buffer so that when they mess this up I'm not without mediation for a week. Enough! read more

This fricken pharmacy, will make your doctors hate you. No joke, I take a lot of meds. This location was within walking distance, only reason I continued going there. They managed to lose a hard copy of my medications, telling us we needed to get them from my psych (psych annoyance #1), they eventually found them and treated us like shit for being upset. Okay, the next month, they claim they never saw the hard copy of a script I handed them like a week before in the drive through. I told them this, put me on hold for 15 minutes, transferred me to 3 people, then the phone just hung up, "okay, cool". Had to call again, they treated me like crap because they probably thought I was annoying, and I told them about them losing my script before, treated me like it was somehow my fault, then oh! They realized the date and it was never put in the system, no apology. But they pushed us to get new copies from my psych (psych second annoyance). When I went in, I was treated HORRIBLY. And now, I have an actual med emergency and my psych, seeing how the last two months went, isn't taking me seriously. I've always had issues with this pharmacy. Today was the very last straw. I had part of my skull removed September 14 and will be on IV antibiotics for another five weeks from today before I can have my skull replaced. When I was released from UMC I was given a pain killer prescription that was half the dose I had been given in the hospital and I have just been trying to manage until today when I followed up with my surgeon and had staples removed. He's very good, saved my life twice now. Anyway I asked him for something for pain and he wrote the prescription to more adequately address the pain associated with multiple brain surgeries and I was handed a paper prescription the same way I was handed a paper prescription upon leaving UMC. Walgreens refused to fill it because I had a previous prescription filled and this one doesn't exactly match. The first was written by umc and this was written by the actual surgeon. I left his office at two pm but had to rush to pick my daughter up from school with a fever of 101.4 and take her to quick care for antibiotic etc. They called in her antibiotic prescription to this Walgreens and I brought my paper one from the surgeon with me to fill. Well they simply refused because they need to call the doctor and it was twelve minutes past five when I handed it to them-doctor closed at five. The pharmacist proceeded to tell me how it's the fault of my doctor for not calling out in and I asked to speak to a manager when showing her the dent in my head after removing my helmet didn't get a budge. I removed my helmet again for the manager and explained my plight expecting some compassion but no, once again my doctor was berated for not calling it in. I explained the original prescription was paper in the exact same way and they filled it for me and explained that I would not have medication through the night if they refused but they simply did not care. Upon leaving I wished upon every employee that should somebody attempt murder on their life that they should be shown the exact same amount of compassion. At that point the manager came back out and became belligerent attempting to remove me from the store without my daughter's antibiotic. I don't care if in dying I will never step foot in this store ever again and I will make sure everybody I come in contact with knows exactly why I feel that way. We have NEVER had good customer service at this location. NEVER. I only hope nobody treats them the same way they treated me today if they should ever happen to be missing part of their skull through no fault of their own. read more

I'll give you the good and the bad. The good, very well-stocked, very clean, great coupons and great deals. The store is well staffed but the pharmacy isn't. The photo area always has friendly staff who are very helpful. My prints are always perfect and timely. The pharmacy is the only negative thing I have to say about this store. They are understaffed, the line to drop off and pick up is extraordinarily long. We waited over an hour to get a flu shot and were forgotten about until I went to the counter for the third time to complain. We have filled prescriptions there for the last six years. Even though we provided our insurance card and HS a benefit card the pharmacy over charged us for almost a year before a staff member noticed it. They overcharged us by over $1000 and when we called the corporate office to get a refund we were told it will take anywhere from 6 to 12 weeks. The store has plenty of parking and I love the little African-American lady that works in the beauty department. She always has coupons for me. read more

The staff is very negligent here, the first time I came to renew my prescription they said they would have to check with the doctor first because it was a lower dosage then I had got before. Then they called my doctor and she just canceled my prescription I'll together which is weird so I was just in pain for a whole month. Then today when I go to renew a different prescription I gave which looks like the same girl that gave me the issue before, anyways I gave her my prescription to let her know that it had three refills on her so when I was leaving I didn't realize that she did not put the first medication in the bag and it had three or four pills left still. I called them to explain the situation and they said oh we may have thrown them away. Then it seem like they hung up on me, but I got a call back & they said the phone call was disconnected. Anyways they said they found the pills and I didn't really want to go all the way back I asked them how would it affect me if I just started my new bottle of medication without finishing the old one and they said it would throw me off a little bit so now I'm going to be a little thrown off and I'm a little pissed off!
