Sadly i refuse to ever shop at the Walgreens on 8500 Cheyanne ave as vegas which is the closest to my home and the store i have on my insurance/doctors for prescription's . I have spent thousands of dolars there in the past several years, not to mention the prescriptions and like that it is 24 hours . However There is a short Phillipino man who seems to always be working there when i go . He is extremely lazy and nasty in fact 4 times over the past year or so he has refused to unlock the bathroom while i was shopping there. Usually he says that he is the only one there and can not leave the register, yet he is not the only one there and i often see him leave the register , other times he says he will meet there in a minute to unlock the door and never does. In fact after 3 times i decided recently never to shop there again ,but last night i was with a women who wanted to stop in as we were driving by to get a few things she needed. I had to rush her out of the store because again i asked this Phillipino guy and he again refused to unlock the bathroom.. I have an enlarged prostate and often have to use the bathroom , over the past couple of months i have been going to CVS for my shopping which BTW do not have their bathroom locked . Every time I try to refill my daughters medications there's a problem. They tell me the don't have it in stalk, and will order it...They never order it. No one is on the same page. They never do what they say they're going to do, making my child have to go without. Tonight I called to check on prescriptions that where supposed to be worked on already, and the PHARMACIST on duty told me he was busy...and every minute he was on the phone with me he had people looking at him wondering why he was on the phone. I'll go back to this store JUST TO get the names of the ONLY 3 SWEET and RESPECTFUL ladies working there. Last time I reviewed this store, I complemented an elderly lady that worked there, (I can't remember her name now), it was last year, when I just moved to this area. Sadly, right after my review, this lady vanished from this location, I was so disappointed, because she's a sweetheart, that always helped everybody. The manager, however, a tall guy, was giving her an attitude and mistreated her in front of the customers (I complained about his behavior in my review too), this guy is (unbelievably) working there yet and he hired just more grumpy and disrespectful people to work with. They have a lot of people around this huge store, but they don't have enough cashiers available, it's always a huge line to checkout and they get SUPER MAD when the other cashiers request to BACKUP/open a new register. Just awful vibe EVERY TIME! Such a huge store, with a huge stock of all the items you need, but you decide if you want to support a business where you are okay of being mistreat. I believe the customers that keep this place open are not regular customers. So my tip is: GO SHOP AT CVS, drive one block to CVS and thank me later, best customer service, great prices, discounts for Carepass members and more. I arrived at Walgreens tonight to make copies of some pictures I had in my phone. I was experiencing some difficulties and that's when the assistant Manager Kevin ask if I needed some help or even I was familiar with the photo app that they offer. I told him yes to the help but I didn't have room for another app on my phone. So Assistant Manager Kevin had me text him the pictures and he took no time and made me nice 8x10's and I was on my way. I went into walgreens for cigarettes and some liquor with my husband (who was paying) and was told I needed to show id. Even if I were to leave the store, because I was with him, he couldn't buy the cigs or beer as they knew i was with him. Wtf? Iam a 50 year old woman! I usually don't write reviews but this pharmacy is terrible. Yesterday my doctor sent in a prescription for me and when I checked on it's status it said they were out of the meds so I called and they said they would have it the next day. So I called around 11am to get an update and was told to call after 2pm so I waited and called at 3pm and was told they had it in stock. So I went in at 7pm to pick it up and when I arrived they said they wouldn't get it in until two days later and that they had never spoken to me. I leave in the morning for work for 6 days so I won't be able to get my prescription for another week because they said they can't transfer it and my doctors office is closed. Luckily it's not a prescription I can't live without but I don't appreciate having my time wasted. read more

This store is something else. I feel bad for the employees. They always seem understaffed and overwhelmed. I've lived in the area for the last 4 years and the area is really deteriorating. Lots of theft and drug dealers in the area. I asked an employee why they never have shopping carts and she said that they all got stolen. That was 2 months ago and they still don't have any carts. They could at least put poles on them or something so customers can't take them outside. And don't even get me started on the pharmacy. The line is often wrapped around the isles. The employees are a little slow but I think really they just lack direction and I kind feel for them. I find it best to come either right when they open or right before they close. Covid really hit them hard. I hope they can hire more help and turn it around. read more

This pharmacy is the absolute worst. Same line for pick up, drop off, express and consultations. They frequently lose your prescription and are never actually ready when they quote you to come back. Dropping off and picking up is quite literally an all day ordeal most of the time. I do not recommend it for anyone. read more

This pharmacy is the slowest and most incompetent pharmacy I have ever come to. I have gone to many Walgreens throughout Las Vegas and this one is ridiculous. Every time I have been I have waited 30 minutes to an hour just to be helped. On top of that, the employees are rude. If they do not accept an insurance or someone's insurance is expired they do not practice ANY discretion. They speak loudly enough for anyone close by to hear them. So unprofessional. This last time I was waiting in the drive through for about 20 minutes when an employee came out and told me it would be faster to come inside. The medication I need is a controlled substance, so the only way I can get refills is if I call and speak directly to a pharmacist. That in itself is annoying, but out of their control. I waited on hold for about 30 minutes and they hung up on me, just said "walgreens please hold" after I waited 20 mins already and then about 5 mins later the line started ringing again and went dead. So now I am currently on hold again, it's been 27 minutes since I called, and according to the automated voice I am not even next in line. Hopefully it doesn't go dead again because I feel waiting an hour to get my prescription simply filled is excessive enough. read more

The service at the pharmacy is terrible. We stopped by on our way back from the hospital after having a c section. We were next in line at the pharmacy drive thru. The car in front of us was being attended to for over 10 mins. As soon as they drove off, the pharmacist put up the closed sign and turned off the light. It was one minute to 10. They didn't take into account that we had been in line for a while. It's ridiculous. Now have to go to bed in pain. Thanks Walgreens. Helping one last person was too much to ask. read more

I went in to buy Razors for shaving and a little blonde with colorful hair that works in the beauty department who is smoking hot by the way helped me with the biggest smile and she was so nice and she guided me away from crummy resumes right into good razors that would leave no marks on my face. She seem to know everything about her business and was very proud to be there. I would recommend anyone that's coming in for men's Products or women's products to go straight to the beauty department to get what you need. This Walgreens may be in a sketchy area due to the fact I saw a shoplifter steel right in front of me and take off running out the doors but the service in the beauty department is worth all of it! I've pretty much always been greeted every time I have walked in. Someone always asks me if I need help. But someone in particular stands out to me, her name is Jean. She noticed a regular customer who seemed to be a little off was starting to make me feel uncomfortable with her exuberant conversation so Jean, for lack of better words, "shooed" her off. Its good to be observant of all your customers comfortability and most of all shopping experience. She also sold me on signing up for their points card. it was a genuine sell since I was already spending on lots of health and beauty products. This place is conveniently near my house so this is my family's preferred pharmacy. We've never encountered a problem with their service in the 6 years we've been purchasing from them. In fact, I appreciate it that they call us when our prescriptions are ready to be picked up about a week before we have to pick them up. As for the rest of the store, its always neat with very helpful workers. Im always greeted when I walk in and there's always someone to help me when I need assistance. Extensive selection of drug store makeup which is mostly what I buy from them but I recently discovered that their prices are higher than other drug stores. On the bright side, their rewards card always saves me money every time I purchase from them. Recently Ive had some pictures printed out from them. Their service was quick and done before one hour hit and they cut it perfectly. Their quality was good! They also had a deal online for half off the price and then the rewards card reduced the price even more. 26 pints for $4 and some change. I think Thats a good deal especially because it was expedited. read more

I've HAD it with this pharmacy. Since the written complaint I submitted to Walgreens online was ignored I called them today to lodge it. We'll see if I receive a call in 2 days as I was told. I called this location to check the status of my script I dropped off yesterday at 9:30am-ish. (At the time, I was told it would be ready by 11am, then changed to early afternoon.) the pharmacy manager answered the phone, not identifying herself, and was rude, sounding put off that I had called. Without explanation my script has been delayed to the 25th. I had foot surgery on the 10th & I have maybe 2 days worth of meds left. This simply won't do. My script specifically said POST SURGICAL warranting immediate release. WTH is going on?? I guess I can deal with this delay. I am floored by the consistent, unprofessional & blatant rudeness that this manager & her techs display to customers. I am beyond sick & tired of this pharmacy. I only come here as a last resort. I came here as a last resort yesterday. Walgreens needs to do something about this location. It's beyond bad. If they don't then Walgreens condones bad behavior of their employees & ill treatment of their customers. UPDATE I spoke with corporate who forwarded my complaint to the store manager. Within minutes of doing so Ryan the store manager called. He's aware of the problem in the pharmacy and says he is taking it seriously & steps ate in place to turn it around. One of my complaints is the "it takes 2 weeks to order meds," and he acknowledged that was a blatant lie. While he earned my respect during that call, I agreed to give them 1 more chance since I could tell he was sincere in fixing the problem & keeping my business. That chance came a week later. Unfortunately Stephanie, Queen of Rudeness, blew it. She's just a nasty, mean, hateful person who has no business being a pharmacist let alone the pharmacy manager. I saw my doc & picked up a script & immediately drove to this pharmacy. My doctor forgot to date it. Big deal...they have to confirm it by phone anyway...she made a point, in as condescending a tone as she could muster, of telling me my doctor is stupid if she thinks a phone call will do & that I couldn't write the date on the script myself. Today, when we stopped by we were greeted by the assistant manager, he was really helpful with finding the "As Seen on TV" section and also with a coupon we wanted to use. He was really polite and took the time to show us the isle it was in. While we were browsing through the cosmetics, Jean approached us with a No7 product to sample and we did end up buying for my mom. I appreciated that she also took the time to explain to us different products thoroughly. She also brought to our attention some other beauty sets that were at a good price as well! Worst customer service ever. Went into this location this morning just to pick up photos, that's it. Less than 5 customers in the store and no one was at the register. I kindly asked the man working if the photo center is open. He looks at me and asks me rudely "well what do you need?" I explained to him that I was just picking up photos that I placed online the day before. He starts going over to the photo center and just shouting for my last name. He can't find my photos once he starts looking, then, he notices that customers are heading towards the main registers to pay. I explain to him that I have the order number and it could be under my other last name. He clicks on the computer and then he's like "I can't do this right now, I have to check out these customers, I don't have time for this." IN THE RUDEST TONE EVER. Mind you, I was being patient enough. I was willing to simply wait. I understand if you guys are short staff or whatever the case may be. Simply explain to me that the photo center is closed then until you have enough staff to fulfill that part of the store! Didn't have to be rude. So he leaves me standing there, I'm thinking he's going to come back after he helps the other guests at checkout, NOPE! He goes and helps someone else in eye care then goes back to register as if I'm still not standing there. Pharmacy is staffed by incompetent morons who don't know how to LISTEN. I had a refill for an asthma drug coming, they said it needed dr approval. Fine. Or it would've been if they contacted the CORRECT doctor. Delay: three days. Next and current problem: they changed generics on a regular prescription that I take. They did so without my consent or approval. But I've had unpleasant side effects and made a reasonable request to use the other generic. I made that request in person, stating it as clear as day, and was told it would be ordered and I could get it the next day. Went to get it. IT WAS THE PRESCRIPTION THAT I ADAMANTLY AND SPECIFICALLY SAID NOT TO GIVE. The pharmacist "made a note" to get the correct one. We shall see. I'm not optimistic. read more

**This review is only for the pharmacy** Coming here I thought I was going to see good reviews for this location but I'm glad to see its not just me. When I was in college in 1991 I worked part time at the Walgreen's by my house and I've been a loyal customer ever since. That has come to an end. I damn near hate this staff. Rude, lazy, unprofessional - that about sums it up. And for the record I've been coming here for about 4 yrs, so this is not an isolated incident. I've been violently ill twice this year and ended up having to get Rx's 3 separate times. EVERY SINGLE TIME I was told it would be a 2+ hour wait. Oh, that anti-vomit medication? 2 hrs? Sure, I'll go sit in my car and throw up on myself and you come get me when you're done complaining about the pharmacist at the Blue Diamond location because he took a vacation. During my second sickness I went to the drive thru to pick up my meds and had a hard time speaking because my throat was so burned from the vomiting - the little witch working the window barked at me about how she couldn't hear me. All she asked was if I was picking up - I nodded and said yes - I have no doubt she clearly understood - she was just ugly for the sake of being ugly. You don't get treated any better when you go inside either. There's a blonde woman with an accent (Aussie?) who is just as rude. After giving me another "2 hr wait" brush off (the 3rd one in 2 months) I looked at her like I was going to come over the counter, and suddenly my wait time was only 30 minutes. Oh, so you can move faster if you want to? Good to know. If you ask for the pharmacist to go over the meds with you, he walks around the corner with his piss poor attitude just dripping off his face (this is specific to the Dr with the accent - also Aussie?) and talks to you like you're the dumbest person he's ever met. I'm sorry that I would like a clearer understanding of the 4 different Rx's Urgent Care prescribed - what a needy bitch I am, huh? I have lived and worked from the East Coast to the Gulf Coast to the West Coast and have always stayed with Walgreens because their pharmacies were always good to me, and it was convenient to have my records in one place. I have never encountered such a horrible staff as I have here. I have also gone out of my way to drive to this location when I'm within walking distance to CVS and Smith's pharmacy. Thanks to this staff I will no longer be making that drive. Congratulations guys! Zero is what they deserve. This is by far the worst Walgreens I have ever dealt with. Long story short, I transferred a prescription here from a Walgreens in California because we had to take a quick trip out to Vegas and I didn't have time to pick up my prescription for antibiotics. I canceled the one in CA on the app and transferred it to this pharmacy in Vegas which I've done a few times before and never had a problem. Well, they end up canceling it so I had to call and whoever picked up the phone obviously didn't want to be at work. I had to repeat myself 4 times because he wasn't listening and kept repeating a prescription for a medication that I hadn't filled since the beginning of the year. He then says well I can't pull it up so what do you want me to do? Ha! Maybe do your job and figure it out? He then hangs up on me. I called back and was on hold for over 40 minutes getting transferred around. Judging from the other reviews on this pharmacy, they obviously don't care about improving the customer experience, so expect a shitty experience if you have to go here. read more

This review is for the Pharmacy at this Walgreens location. I don't know why, but this pharmacy just can't get it together! It's incompetence at it's finest and what's worse, is no one seems to care! I've had problems with this pharmacy multiple times, but today was the last straw so I had to write a review! Our Dentist called in 2 prescriptions for my husband at 10:30am. At this time we were still in California. At 11:30 I get a text saying that 1 is ready and 1 is delayed due to insurance verification. Now mind you, our family has all our Meds filled at this location. We have for years. As we're driving back from California, I call around 3:00pm to check on the status and make sure they're both ready. I explain this situation, I'm told I'm being transferred to someone that can help, I get hung up on. I call again, I explain, I'm told I'm being transferred to someone that can help, I get hung up on. AGAIN. So I decide to wait until we get there to deal with it. We get there around 5:00 and the pharmacy tech tells me: oh, let me fix it. I'll put in the code. Ok, now I have to wait for the pharmacist to approve it so you can have a seat. ARE YOU SERIOUS!? So I sit, wait for another 10-15 min, then I finally get my husbands meds. I don't understand what the problem is with this pharmacy, but they need to get it together.
