When Jamie (pharmacy manager) went on maternity leave last fall I had a bad feeling things were gonna go wrong here. And they did....to the point Jamie ended up quitting shortly after returning from leave & the pharmacy techs quit also!! Mona. Mona Mona Mona. How I loathe thee. From September to January you screwed up my prescriptions AND screwed with my insurance by NOT paying attention to written prescriptions I gave to you. Personally. My schedule 3s....you IGNORED & didn't fill leaving yourself to scramble on a Saturday to fill them when you had a week to verify it. During that week you ignored my script, my health plan reset meaning instead of paying $00 for my scripts I had to pay full price bc my deductible hadn't been met. All you said was "Sorry." I had foot surgery in September. I stood at the window with my foot in a boot & crutches and you had the nerve to ask my doctor why she wrote me for 2 schedule 3s and then asked which foot did I have surgery on. Not only are you a blind idiot....you're stupid, thinking YOU can violate HIPAA & then get bitchy with my doc when they refuse to violate HIPAA. You're a pharmacist, not my doctor. It's none of your business why I am written for a schedule 3, or for any other drug. Now that Jamie is gone & Mona is in charge....I fired this location & transferred my stuff to Vons. I got $75 in Vons gift cards to do it too. Update 5/2017 Well....nice to see Mark back. Unfortunately this pharmacy is no longer the top notch place it once was. The turn over here is unbelievable. Sorry pharmacy peeps...my script should be filled immediately if I am waiting, not put at the bottom of the stack, behind those who aren't expecting to pick up for several hours. Went to the in Port Apache and Sunset. One of the nicest Walgreens in the Valley. People are great, good costumer service and clean.

I was on hold twice for 13 minutes each time this morning, being disconnected once. They say that because they are now doing vaccines prescriptions are taking 5 hours to fill. Clearly no extra staff was added and this is unacceptable. After today I will find a pharmacy that won't put me last. read more

Get it together. This is the worst pharmacy I've ever been to. The customer service here is appalling. Forget HIPPA all together when going here. The pharmacist and the technicians yell constantly at each other and shout out personal and medical information so the whole store can hear. Pharmacy is terrible providing bad and intentional misleading information and then refusing to mitigate their mistake. Their manager obviously is part of the problem as she is obstinate in refusing to acknowledge the problem, apologize for their misleading information, and simply not not showing any empathy or care to a long term customer. I would not recommend ever taking a chance with them. Their poor reputation is well deserved--- unfortunately. read more

The pharmacy never answers the phone. Even if your prescription is on file, you have to physically go there to ask to have it filled, even though you shouldn't have to. The only reason is because they don't answer the phone. Then they tell you it will be like 2-3 hours even if you have been calling for it and can't get through or want to wait in person for it. I don't know of any other establishment, healthcare or otherwise, where employees are allowed to just not answer the phone because they don't feel like it. Most employees would be fired for that. I suppose if you're the Duke or Dutchess of a business you're obligated to review... Not that I think people are going to bookmark this or anything, but here goes. I never ever ever shopped at Walgreens for anything other than prescriptions until 2014. I felt they were over priced and really couldn't imagine who would waste their time there. And then... Dun da da! I randomly started Couponing, and my entire Walgreens perspective changed! I now shop Walgreens weekly, and I'm only slightly embarrassed to say I'm often seen shopping there multiple times a week! Some might say I'm a Walaholic. So here's the lowdown on this Wags location. Annette in cosmetics is the sweetest, nicest, most patient and helpful cashier I've ever dealt with! She bar none, hands down makes this location my #1 favorite Walgreens on the West side (trust me I frequent them all). The management here is also very nice, they know me, smile and say hi not because they have to, but because they are genuinely happy to see me. This is my own little Cheers! Everyone at this location is friendly, they are helpful, and unlike other locations the sale tags are always properly marked. Now about those high prices... If you run in and grab something for convenience, which I'm sure most do, yes you'll pay an arm and a leg, but that can be said of any store I suppose. However if you watch their sale flyer, check their monthly coupon book, and sign up for their rewards program and learn to use it, you'll find there are TONS of items very cheap or even free *yes FREE* (after rewards i.e. points or Register Rewards). I get that not everyone coupons, but if you do you know Walgreens is a mainstay. This location has a designated clearance section where you'll often find great name brand items for a fraction of the cost! Months ago I stocked up on Toni & Guy hair products they were closing out and actually made money on them after earning rewards points! One final tip: when buying food at any Walgreens, always check the expiration date as food items don't turn over stock as often as drugs and personal care here. Happy shopping! read more

***YELP 100 CHALLENGE 30/100*** This is my go to store when I need to have a pit stop for milk or dishwashing soap perhaps. It's clean and orderly, the staff is always willing to help you find whatever you need and offering their assistance. I haven't tried their pharmacy service so can't comment on that for now. They always have good sales both weekly and the ones you can get from their monthly coupon book. I've also availed of their photo service, that too was quick and pain free. They have a red box kiosk right outside which is a plus. read more

I switched to this pharmacy thinking I would get better service here but of course this is a joke... It's the dog and pony show over here. I selected a prescription that I ran out of and needed the Dr authorization. I get a text saying there waiting on Drs authorization. Then the following day another text comes thru and it says that it's too soon to fill your prescription. Really???? I have a 90day supply that was filled on 10/11/2018 and that would put me to pick up this prescription after Jan 11,2019. Well how is it too soon. The girl at the counter is getting irritated with me and pounding her mouse on the counter and hanging up on whoever is calling on the phone. She checks with the pharmacist and comes back and says it's too soon. No I am not gonna accept this answer I have been without these meds for 6days now. I need them!! So I wanted an explanation as to why it's too early and also it was filled at another pharmacy by your provider, I am like that's impossible I spoke with my Dr today she faxed in the renewed prescription and as well as wrote me another prescription for a month.The girl behind the counter is like well we're gonna need to call the insurance company and find out where it was filled go have a seat. So here goes 15min and yells across the seating area in front of a line of 8people standing there waiting for service...it's gonna be 1hour and a half....Are you f-ing serious!!! Why was this not checked into when this was sent over!! Why am I wasting my time on something that should have been taken care of since yesterday?? Needless to say I will be transferring my prescription outta this Pharmacy due to the lack of professionalism that is going on here. Let's also talk about the staff behind the counter!! The the African American girl who initially took my prescription has no personality and was very rude with the slamming of the mouse on the counter. Why are you working in retail environment if you hate your job? Also no name tag as well as her half shirt and her belly hanging out in her in smock that was not buttoned. Wow what a representation of your pharmacy. The other gentleman that was working the drive thru could be heard all the way on the other side of the seating area. What happened to the HIPPA laws that we have in effect? The screaming back and forth with the pharmacist and techs wow it's unbelievable. So no I have been called up to the counter and my prescription is ready. Get up there and the screaming gentleman behind the counter says oh by the way it's a partial prescription filled for both of the meds you need!! REALLY.... now I need to come back to your pharmacy to pick up what's owed to me... now I am even more irritated with your lack of communication and service!!! Once I retrieve my meds that are owed to me This Walgreens Pharmacy Location will never get my business again. I will be sure let anyone who lives in this are or uses this pharmacy to beware or the unprofessionalism and lack of communication, HIPPA violations and rude employees. Omg! Waiting still 25 mins and still waiting with only 3 cars ahead of me? I dont understand why the drive thru takes so long?

I received poor customer service from the pharmacy. The person was rude and unapologetic. I went in to fill a prescription and after 20 minutes was told my insurance was no good, in front of 2 other customers. I was told to cal my insurance company. While on the phone with them, I was placed on hold while they attempted to call Walgreens to tell them I have coverage. During that time the pharmacist figured out my insurance and filled the prescription. I told the woman in the phone that Walgreens had made a mistake and figured it out. That's when the pharmacist said something rude under her breath and I heard it. I didn't let it go and she was unapologetic. Totally rude. read more

This is the closest Walgreens to us and since we visit this location frequently, the staff recognizes us and even calls my husband by name. Redbox located outside. Ads are inside the store so if you forget your coupon, they're readily available for you to use right at the entrance. read more

Walgreens customer service at this location is terrible and has even degraded. When calling to find the status of a prescription expect a wait of at least 20 minutes before the system disconnects you. Today was such a day which has become the norm. 40 minutes wait to find out that a prescription that was promised to be ready today had been set aside because the guy filling the prescription didn't bother to read the script. This is a repeat event that is also becoming the norm. The prescriptions come in and then get profiled while the customer waits for a few days to be notified, just to find out when calling for status (low probability that the phone will be answered) or out of frustration drives to the store and waits on line for 45 minutes that the prescription was never filled. Sad to say that this particular location is giving walgreen a very bad reputation. read more

Never had a bad experience until yesterday. There was one customer that was finishing up paying so I put my items on the counter. The cashier, an older white lady (didn't catch her name) and a middle aged Hispanic man named Ignacio were at the register and wow. As soon as I put my items down she looked at me and the items and then looked at Ignacio with a very bad look on her face. She quickly noticed I saw her bad looks and said "there's no problem" and I said "oh ok because I can go to another store" and she looked at Ignacio and said "no, there's no problem, he's just weird" at this point I'm like WTF? What is going on? (In my head of course) and Ignacio says "I'm just looking at her" I'm still like wtf? So she says "he needs to put some change on the register" or something like that. Then I said to them "communication is key guys" because well it is! I worked retail before and it's pretty much common sense to tell the customer in that situation "we'll be right with you or just say they are putting change on the register" not these people, seems they received no training or do not have much common sense. Ignacio mimicked me instead when I said communication is key lol and told me to go keep shopping. Like no, what you did took 30 seconds, you could've just said to hold on. Not that hard, I didn't mind waiting. What I did mind was the nasty looks, bad attitude, lack of communication, and overall the poor customer service. I hope you guys receive proper training or something. I'll be going to CVS down the street from now on! read more

Worst pharmacy I've ever been to, they tell your refill is ready and then it never is (not an exaggeration, it's every single time) and makes you wait a couple days longer than already waited. Also, they kick you out if you're waiting in line and the minutes reaches their lunch break and tell you too bad and to come later after their lunch. They show complete lack of care about their customers and have terrible customer service. Not to mention how slow they are at the pharmacy's drive thru. 30 minute wait times read more

Convenient location for me. Prices are great, service is great! The only issue is the pharmacy drive thru is kinda slow. I had to go back twice to fill a prescription due to the long wait. Better than the location on Warm Springs and Durango! This location always provides pretty good customer service and the store is always kept neat! The fact that you are greeted here and always asked do you need assistance goes a long way in my book! Whether it's at the pharmacy or just in the regular retail store I've been very pleased! The male head pharmacist thinks because doctorate in pharmaceuticals that he could obtain my private medical records without a signed release form. THAT'S COMPLETELY ILLEGAL. I've been going to this Walgreens since its closest to where I live. The service is hit and miss , and when I go fill my prescriptions they tell me it'll be the next day , then I call later in the day and someone else tells me my prescriptions have been ready for a couple hours. Pretty annoying. Then the last time I went to fill my prescription , they tell me they are out of my prescription , and don't know when they'll get it ... Then just looked at me with a dead stare. If your half way dying do not come here the will put your script to the side and tell you are going to have to wait like every one else to get your medication. I dropped off yesterday @ 4. Its 3:30pm the next day I'm standing waiting as if I just dropped it off now. Rude have 0 customers service. They need to all be fired get a whole new team. read more
