    This shout out is for Jeffery at the 8770 W Pico location at 5:15pm on June 27 2025. He is a 5 star employee as it seems this place is understaffed and he is the only person running around managing things here. He's at the front register taking care of 10+ customers, running to the back to help a customer find something and then coming to the photo section to help us out. And I completely understand that he had to leave us to take care of the register again. But after 10 minutes of waiting Bianca (Shift Lead) shows up with an attitude and the unwillingness to help us with our photo order. Claiming she doesn't know how to fulfill our order. Her only options were to cancel the order or wait for another day for someone else to do it. Unfortunately I have to be back tomorrow and hope my order is complete.

    Walgreens trained cashier to do this and refused to replace it.

    Management at this location is terrible. I had to purchase gift cards for my team at work. The cashier tells me gift cards aren't returnable, and asks if I want him to open them to see if there are scratches, explaining there's been fraud. I said yes please, if that's how to check. Fella proceeds to tear the holder to pieces, so watching in horror I stop him from doing the same thing to the rest. Later at home I find out he's bent the actual card itself. I can't give this as a gift. I call, am placed on a few minutes' hold, then the line starts ringing again and nobody picks up. I walk back, I'm close by. The acting supervisor does not help, cuts me off and sarcastically goes "We're sorry!" As though I've put her through something. I'll try calling again tomorrow but I don't have much hope. If you need anything besides simple consumables, please do yourself a favor, drive an extra few minutes and go anywhere else.

    No carts! Not even in the parking lot. How are we supposed to shop?

    This Walgreen's location is under new management and sadly has gone downhill. Driving up into the parking lot I spotted graffiti on the wall, something I've never seen before at this location after shopping here for many years. It gave me pause. I came to this location because I wanted some paper towels and I was unable to get them delivered when shopping online as they were only available in store. I also needed an over the counter medication and I didn't have time to wait for it to come in the mail. I planned to do a large shopping trip since I was already at the store and it was convenient. When I walked in, I noticed there were absolutely no shopping carts. I asked an associate if they could get me a cart and they told me there were none. They didn't have any in the store and there were also none in the parking lot. They told me that the homeless take the shopping carts and that corporate isn't giving them any more. However, there have always been homeless outside of this location AND also shopping carts available so I don't think that's the only issue here. How about getting those carts that lock if you try to leave the premises with them? Not supplying your customers with something to put their stuff in while they shop is not the answer. It encourages less shopping which, in my humble opinion, is not something any store should ever encourage. I had no room in my arms to pick up anything else but the two double roll paper towel packs. My shopping partner had two as well. They were too big to fit into those tiny carry around baskets. I asked the associate if we could leave them up at the check out desk and she said "yes" so we ended up doing that. I noticed that behind the front desk were a lot of shopping bags with names of customers on them. This is something I never saw pre-pandemic. I'm guessing more and more customers are choosing to buy online and pick up in store which is definitely a wise decision here since there are no shopping carts anyways. Let Walgreens do the packing! After picking up my over the counter medication I decided it may be wise to consult a pharmacist. However, I noticed the pharmacy was closed. I was surprised that the pharmacy would close so early at a 24 hour store. It was a weekend around 7pm. I found out the pharmacy is only open on the weekends until 6pm which, again, in my humble opinion, is way too early. I do not use this pharmacy so I can only comment on the hours and not the service but I will say that the big box pharmacies I have frequented have much better hours. Another customer also needed someone to help him in the over-the-counter aisle and was frustrated that he had to wait so long to get any assistance. If there was another associate or even a pharmacist available they may have been able to assist him with his needs. I only encountered two employees on my trip to this Walgreens. One was a cashier at checkout and the other a supervisor and although this Walgreens is understaffed, these two employees deserve five stars for their patience and customer service and doing their best despite the poor choices that management or corporate have made. They are the reason this place garnered a second star instead of only one. The cashier was patient and kind and handled the long line single-handedly even though there were three other check out stands with no cashiers. He was quick and efficient and had a smile on his face the entire time. Despite the line, he made us, the customer in front of him, feel important. The supervisor on duty sympathized with our shopping basket dilemma and actually waited for us to check out and walked our bags to our car with us. She went above and beyond for customer service. She is amazing! Download the Walgreens apps for savings and coupons. Also, you might want to save one cheaper item at check out as oftentimes you get coupons for another item but its for a limited time and only valid in store. I got a $5 coupon at checkout and, luckily, the paper towels were near by so I got one more as I am not planning to come back to this location anytime soon.

I waited for them to come take a cheap item I needed out of the locked cages (that every item is in now), and when they did, instead of handing me the 5 dollar item, they insisted that they would take it up to the front where it would be waiting for me. After waiting in a long line, my item was not at the front.. So I just checked out without it. As I was leaving, an employee came up to me with the item I needed and acted like I was being an inconvenience. I went back and purchased the item only to find out that I missed out on a discount that I would have gotten if I'd have purchased it with my other items. I couldn't care less about the discount - ha, but it's just the principle of the situation and how the employees I dealt with could obviously care less. And this has been a re-occurring vibe at this store. Not to mention that the store's inventory has not been very great either.. ALTHOUGH, it is true that you never-ever know what people might be dealing with in their lives... --which is why I gave a 2 star rating instead of 1 star.

    This is the first time we've been to this location and we were very impressed. This was due to…read moreMoises. We were checking on some photos we sent in for printing to see if they were ready. He looked our order up and proceeded to print right away. Moises let us know how long it would take and would periodically check in to let us know how much longer. He later had to go on break and let me know another person would be finishing up the transaction. He informed his coworker the details of our transaction and that we already paid. When he got back from break, he again checked on us and our order. He explained their printer got stuck and only 30 of 40 printed. He gave us a couple of options on how to proceed--- if we would like a partial refund or if we wanted to wait for them to fix the printer and reprint. We opt for the partial refund. Moises provided us one of the best customer experience we've had at Walgreens. He was sincere in his apologies, extremely attentive, articulate and helpful. Great job Moises!
