The ABSOLUTE WORST pharmacy that you could ever find. My prescriptions were sent here via my doctor's office who recommended this group in January of this year. It's now May and I still don't have any of my prescriptions because the pharmacy never sent them in for approvals to insurance. The customer service is also horrible and only try to communicate via text. If you call their offices the representatives are cold, frustrating, and uneducated. Horrible experience. read more

My Dermatologist referred my Rx over to this pharmacy as it required a prior authorization. I as the patient had to follow up with them to see if they even received the referral- something my Dr said they would be doing. Once I spoke with them they indicated that my plan required an authorization for the medication and to check back within 72 hours. I called yesterday, Monday, April 15th and they said again that my plan required an authorization and to check back in with them in 72 hours. Obviously they never submitted the authorization to the plan and when I questioned them about this they said they didn't know as the person who handles the authorizations wasn't there. No one ever called be back to provide an update. This staff at this pharmacy is completely incompetent. No care for any of these patients. read more

You will need headache medicine after dealing with this place so be sure to add that to your order! Here are some of my experiences. FIRST EXPERIENCE was good. I was a new customer with a new prescription. They replied to my text messages quickly. I sent them a photo of my insurance card, and everything was easy and fast. I thought, "wow, I have never had such an easy experience with a pharmacy!" ALL OTHER EXPERIENCES were frustrating, difficult, defeating, and filled with incompetence. Getting refills was nearly impossible. Beverly Hills Apothecary no longer replied to my text messages. When I would call and inquire why they weren't replying to my text messages, they would give every excuse in the book. Never a "sorry" or "we apologize for the inconvenience". Nothing. TRANSFERRING PRESCRIPTIONS TO ANOTHER PHARMACY is basically impossible. Beverly Hills Apothecary will hold onto your prescription like their life depends on it. They will say they transferred the prescription when they actually didn't. When I would call to ask what's going on, they would then put the burden on me and tell me that they actually cannot transfer prescriptions, and that I would need to contact my doctor for a new prescription to be sent to the new pharmacy. But even doing that doesn't work because Beverly Hills Apothecary needs to RELEASE the prescription FIRST. The whole process of getting something transferred will take weeks! Weeks of confusion and frustration. BOTTOM LINE. This place lacks consistency, professionalism, and knowledge of stock/product. I only gave it two stars because my first experience was positive, but every other experience has been negative and time wasting. I think two of the only reasons people come here is because of the convenient location and free next day delivery service via USPS. However, when you do delivery, they don't give you a receipt even when you ask. read more

My dermatologist sent prescriptions here and I live in North Hollywood so I already felt like it would be a headache to get the meds. They never called me about the prescriptions initially and then when attempting to reach them by phone and text, on the phone, they never answer. When reaching out via text, they might initially respond but then stop. I need two prescriptions transferred over to my local CVS and CVS told me I needed to just give the pharmacy their phone number and they could call and have it transferred. I asked them via text multiple times if they could call and they were unresponsive and dismissive. Today is the 10th and I tried to call and no one ever answered so I texted again and received no response when asking if they could call CVS. Even stating no they cannot would be better than nothing two times in a row on multiple days. I plan to let my dermatologist know how it's truly bad business working with BH Apothecary due to their lack of care and professionalism. read more

I would not recommend this spot to others if you can avoid it. My dermatologist sent scripts here for enhanced coverage of acne medications, and the first time around, it was great. The copay was reasonable, the turnaround time was fast, and service was lovely inside of the store. The store is neat and organized. If you go here, I highly recommend in-person, because this seems to be where they thrive. The ability to communicate over text is helpful. My second experience was extremely frustrating. My doctor prescribed a lower concentration cream of an existing topical. I got a text from the Apothecary stating that my medication was ready, well after I'd received telephone calls and letters in the mail from my insurance confirming approved prior authorizations for the new medication. They sent me a refill of my original medication, rather than the new one, stating that they hadn't gotten the prior authorization for the updated script. When I called to rectify this, the service was exceedingly unhelpful, blaming of the patron, annoyed with the call, and left multiple questions unanswered. If you get prescriptions mailed to you, I highly encourage you to verify full concentrations of everything that is getting sent to you (they do list names, though NOT concentrations, and there is no way for you to know this until after you have received the medication in the mail and been charged). You will be responsible for the not-negligible cost of the unneeded old refill that you will have to throw away, and feel extremely crummy about yourself in the process because of how you're treated. read more

My doctor sent in 3 prescriptions. Two were sent to my home but the third was not. Two days later, I contacted this pharmacy since I heard nothing. The employee told me that the reason it wasn't sent had to do with waiting for the insurance to approve it. Five minutes later I got a bill for $50 for an antibiotic. I thought it was a lot but paid. Later that same day, I got a bill for $15 for the same antibiotic. I called and found out that the pharmacy messed up and charged me without insurance. They would not refund me even though I was told that I would be paying the insurance price in the first place. I explained it was their mistake but she said it was "policy" not to take responsibility for their error and instead to have the customers absorb the cost of their mistakes. No thanks! read more

My dermatologist at Metropolis Dermatology in DtLA, placed an order to this pharmacy. This was placed on Friday, I won't receive my meds until Wednesday at best as this pharmacy has to ship it. Moreover, when I called Saturday to place a delivery order the young woman put the wrong card information in, however, at this time we had not known it. She stated that I would receive the meds on Monday via delivery from 1-9 pm. She obtained my address and confirmed payment and delivery. At that time, I was not told that I was out of delivery range. On Monday morning, I get a text that the card was declined and I called to sort it out. When I called, the young man, Marren (maybe- don't know is name), stated that I need to make sure the funds are available- the account had 10x the total requested that wasn't the issue. He read back the number after this was stated to him and sure enough, it was entered incorrectly- ok mistakes happen. Told that this would be delivered the next day between 1-7. Which is annoying but fine. Thought it was over then nope: I get a link about an hour later stating my meds would be shipped. I call (4th call since Saturday) and the young woman said I was out of delivery range and best they can do is ship or send it to another pharmacy. I gave up as I didn't want to call my actual pharmacy and rely on them to call Beverly Hills Apothecary to then send the meds there to be picked up, at this point I'm over it. I told them to mail it and pray they actually make to me. I will tell my dermatologist to advise me when she's moving my pharmacy and never use them again. People most likely want their meds the same day or a day after they are prescribed not a week later nearly. Do better please! read more

My wife has been using this pharmacy for a few years. She loves the people and the service. I stuck with CVS. Recently, I needed a new RX and my insurance did not cover the medication. The cost was over $700 for a one month supply. CVS said they could give me a slight discount but that the cost would still be in the $600's. Both my wife and the doctors office said to call Beverly Hills Apothacary. I did. Somehow they figured out how to use a special coupon and the cost came down to $75. How amazing is that! Look no further this pharmacy is the place to be for all your pharmaceutical needs, I switched to this pharmacy 2-3 years ago and my allergy medications are almost 45 percent less than the big box stores like CVS and Walgreens. Same insurance coverage but better prices, not sure how they do this but it's been proven. They also don't push for generics like CVS or Walgreens since they're not incentives. I already left a review on Google but I'm back for more. Customer service has taken a hit post-COVID in almost every industry you can think of. Filling a script at a chain pharmacy near my house requires a self pep-talk and some serious determination. Almost always some sort of disorganization (can't find my script, wait a mile long); but the worst part is the customer service. The attitude seems to be: you're lucky I'm doing this for you instead of: I'm glad to help. Got my head bit off the other day after a 30 minute wait. On to BHA - I've never once experienced an attitude, belittling, impatience, or a wait. Somehow they do all of it happily, quickly, and accurately. Whoever handles the texting needs a raise! I just text them, get a kind response, and it's done. The least stressful task I do. Thank you so much. It goes such a long way. It is very unfortunate that this place can't ever get their payments and shipments correct. Three times I have had Beverly Hills Apothecary fill and ship my medications, and every single time I have had some sort of issue with payment or shipment 1) Double charged, extra charge dropped after calling. Workers nice. Delivery was good. 2)Scheduled a delivery/refill. Was charged but product never shipped. Called and I was told it never sent. Charged my prescription fee and a random EXTRA $45. The charge went through. Called and the workers apologized and were kind. Fixed the issue but took a few days as the money had been removed from my account. 3) Was charged the same amount 6 times while on the phone because "my card was declined". I could see the charges going through as they were occurring. 5 were dropped. Updated my address. Got called about 10 minutes later to confirm the new address. Product never came. 5 days later (today) called to see what was happening... product was sent to the wrong address, and was told their wasn't another address on file. Put on hold because I was ill tempered for sure, when picked back up, I was told my product was going to reshipped to my correct address... I never gave an address during the convo, so they DID have my right address on file. Again, very unfortunate because I really liked all the workers (even the last girl who was a little rude, but I know I was very hostile with good reason). read more

I have had two interactions with Beverly Hills apothecary. Each time, it has been of the same blonde, hair, blue-eyed woman, and she has just been so nasty and rude. The first time, I gave her a pass. I thought maybe she was having a bad day. But today, it is my second interaction with her. I got a prescription filled, and it was in a timely manner, so I have no qualms about the time it takes to fill the medication, my issue is solely based on her personality. I asked a simple question, something that I am sure she gets asked all the time. I asked Tru where the restrooms were. She looked at me, and said, I don't know, threw her hands in the air, and rolled her eyes. This is Beverly Hills. They are a business on Bedford. All in question something she should know the answer for for her clients. Instead, I was given an attitude. Hell no. No thank you. Never again. A dermatologist prescribed me two medications for my serious medical condition that cost $1100 and in order to get a reduced price they gave me no choice but to mail order from this pharmacy. That dermatologist refused to prescribe me an alternative which they could have easily done so to begin with, but they absolutely wouldn't and left me at the mercy of this place. I call this pharmacy and they put me on hold for an hour to place an order. I ask them to ship it on one-day express shipping and pay extra. Next day, my medication has not arrived. So I call this pharmacy again and they again put me on hold for an hour and tell me totally different things. They say 1) They shipped the item but didn't ship it on express and that I will receive it after 5 days. 2) That they never shipped the item and shipping it now on express and it should arrive tomorrow. Then they also say that in order to receive it tomorrow, it should have been shipped today before 3pm which they didn't - so which lie of yours is true beverly hills apothecary?? During the one hour hold time, the time they spent giving me any info was barely 60 seconds total - info that they could have given me all at once instead of putting me on hold for an hour. I insisted on a tracking number as they kept dilly-dallying between shipped vs not shipped. I didn't budge without getting the tracking # because my skin condition at this point was so bad that I desperately needed this medication as soon as possible and I wasn't willing to take their bs anymore. So reluctantly, this pharmacy gives me a fake tracking number just to shut me up. I clarified the tracking # with them multiple times, and told them that it shows it doesn't exist and is showing as incorrect. They say, keep checking it will work and hung up on me. I have wasted two days leaving work half day trying to deal with this business just for a simple mail order. Do not ever give your business to this place. If any doctor prescribes you medication for mail order from this unethical business, change your doctor immediately. read more

Anyways I finally got a hold of them to refill a prescription I had refilled previously with them, and forgot the name. It took two representatives to verify my names and DOB and determine the prescription I was taking. Sorry I didn't have it on me....but come on...look at the history. It is the only prescription I have refilled historically/recently. Finally, she pulled everything up and asked for a payment method. I told her to use the same card. Which was again a difficult process. She then stated "you clearly don't work in customer service" after I was cracking up at this terrible process/customer service. I've recently had eye surgery on both eyes at an out of pocket cost of close to $16, 000. In addition I paid for several eye drop prescriptions. It was not surprising that those prescriptions were expensive so I thought nothing of it. After my first post op exam the doctor prescribed drops that were to be taken 5 times a day for 3 days in one eye only. When I got the text that the drops were ready the price was $75. Again knowing how expensive specialized drug cost though nothing of it. I picked my prescription handed me in a stapled little bag and paid. When got home and opened the bag there were 3 little boxes instead of what I assumed to be one since I'll only need 15 drops. I texted stating there were 2 extras that were clearly not needed, so really should only paid for one at a cost of $25. I was told that they filled the prescription as called for by my doctor. They wouldn't take back the two packages stating they can't take back medicine once it leaves the store. I get that so I moved on. I went back a few days later to refill one of the prescriptions for $70 and mentioned my frustration once again not expecting anything. Standing next to the pharmacist was another person who blurted out how he remembered the order and said they laughed about it as if with bad aim I would have go through all of them to fulfil the 15 drops. This wasn't meant for my ears but that's why I want to deduct what I believe a deliberate over charge that should have never occur We all make mistakes, even doctors and pharmacists' but in this scenario clearly phone call to the doctor to correct the prescription amount would have been honest and ethical not greedy and dishonest Clearly if the prescription called for 5 drops for 30 days they would have called to up the amount read more

I've reported them to my insurance and to the makers of my medication. I should've gone to Mickey Fine Pharmacy to begin with, but my doctor sent my prescription to this one instead. On my first fill I asked them why they were giving me two packets of pills, with difference doses in each. The main pharmacist said she didn't know, that my insurance probably wanted to make more money and that I should just combine doses for once a day. Well, I googled it later on and turns out I have to take one pill morning, and the other at night. I'd been taking them the wrong way for weeks!!! Next issue- I got a pre-authorization from my insurance for this specific medication. The second month I came, they had run out. They told me that this happens and to call ahead next time. This is something they should've informed the first time I came to pick it up. Ok, the third month I call ahead of time, and they promise me they have it. I arrive, and it turns out they only have generic. Well, OK, I take the generic. Guess what, folks, it was the generic for a *different* formulation that came with strict dietary rules. Did they inform me of this? Noooope. I was now taking the wrong formulation without modifying my diet accordingly for a month. I call a day ahead the fourth month, and they tell me they have my meds. I and arrive and am informed that they had just run out of that dose. These people should not be running a pharmacy. read more

Wow, I have not been this happy with a pharmacy since i was a teenager living in a small town! Rosette and her staff are speedy with orders, anticipating refills and asking for my delivery needs. They accept email re-orders and requests. They search for discounts for prescriptions, so i don't have to save the stupid promo cards. They ask me for generic vs branded prescriptions. They will even add OTC products (pharma and other, like sunscreen) into my delivery. In 1 case, i was looking for an arthritis cream, and they went back to inquire from their supplier to bring it. And they deliver for free to my door! Once when my son ran out of meds, they even delivered on a Sunday (probably not a usual occurrence) Everyone i have spoken to has been pleasant, their response is always timely, and i have always received exactly the correct medication. Very, very, very happy. I highly recommend BH Apothecary!! I left CVS - no more! Only BH Apothecary!! read more
