Until very recently, where all other drug store chains failed to bring the Coronavirus vaccine to Americans locally, Walgreens has been there right from the start. I got my first dose yesterday at this Manhasset store and the folks there couldn't have been nicer nor more professional. I arrived early, no waiting and was in and out within about 30 minutes. For those who have been waiting for the one-shot J & J vaccine, it is now available from Walgreens as well. I will always remember that right here in Great Neck, both CVS and Riteaid couldn't deliver when the chips were down. Of course a huge THANK YOU to the incredible and hard working NEW administration that inherited a disaster from Trump and his group of incompetents and turned this into a success. My latest script was supposed to contain 90 tablets. But since insurance only covered 14, there were only 14 tablets in the vial. Instead of clearly explaining this, they only said to me 14 were covered. I said ok and I paid for the scrip and figured I would straighten things out with insurance in the future. Instead, when I got home I noticed only 14 tablets in the vial. I went back but they would not fill the rest of the scrip...I had to get my doctor to send in a refill when the 14 tablets I got ran out. But it's a controlled substance so this is not easy at all. This took me a week to get straight with my doctor's office. The most unaccommodating, uncooperative pharmacy lacking in any basic intelligence on the people behind the counter. Make sure you get what you're supposed to before paying...because once you do there's not going back at this place. read more

If I could give this pharmacy 0 stars I would. Save yourself the frustration and go somewhere else out of town they are horrible, so slow and never have anything in stock. Worst pharmacy I've ever had to interact with. read more

Lines are short and fast. Quiet store. Not enough healthy food choices though. Parking not problem.

The photo department at this Walgreens rocks!! They are by far the quickest that I've come across and do a superb job with clean, crispy prints. Workers are slow and rude. Typically there are 3-4 employees milling around. This location needs retraining or replacement.

I am sad to see that my experience was not unique. The line had over 7 people waiting. I asked if we could have another cashier. The man told me that the other person was at the photo counter, 5 feet away. He did not come. Finally he opened another register. I walked over with an exchange. He "chastised" me telling me "just say you have a return". It took twice as long with all of his talking and when it was finished, he told me again, "just say you have a return". I hope it wasn't the manager. I will prefer another pharmacy if I have the choice. read more

The pharmacy doesn't get the job done on a regular basis. Often backed up and late or inaccurate with their timing with filling prescriptions, even after talking to them. read more

I picked up Paxlovid for my husband at the beginning of the week when he tested positive for Covid. Mine always tested negative, but when my throat began to feel scratchy yesterday, I quickly called my doctor to have the same prescription filled. I wore my KN95 mask and went to the Walgreens in Manhasset to pick it up today. It turned out to be anything but an ordinary pickup! At the pharmacy counter, I was told I couldn't pick it up if I tested positive for Covid. The pharmacy manager then began to YELL at me to leave the store NOW! She said I was putting everybody in jeopardy and shouted for me to leave RIGHT NOW!!! I was taken back because all she had to say was: "I'm sorry but if you tested positive for Covid, you need to arrange for someone else to pick up your prescription" -- same amount of words, but nicer way of saying it. I'm not faulting the store's safety protocol. I'm faulting this manager's attitude. She made me feel like I was a potential MASS MURDERER! I also wanted to pick up more testing kits but couldn't because she was rushing me out. Not only I couldn't pick up the med to get better, but I also couldn't find out if I was getting better. I came home feeling more miserable than when I went out. I called to see if I could have it delivered instead. It would take 5-6 days by FedEx. I only live 2 minutes away, but I end up calling my brother in Westbury to have him come and pick it up for me. At the end of the day, I did get my med, but I expected more compassion from someone who works in the health industry. Walgreens website should advise customers on how to pick up their med if they tested positive for Covid. I know this pandemic has many casualties, but civility should not be one of them. read more

The place is nice the price is to much and the workers don't pay attention to what the price is for the item once my friend had wanted to buy a bar that was supposedly 88 cents and the worker said it wasn't even tho is said that on the shelf on the store and the workers are rude,also the manager is very rude so I don't recommend trying to buy from the store people just go to raindew or something that's actually worth your time. read more

Prescriptions are never ready. My doctor sent over prescription electronically twice and they said they never got it! I had to have my doctor call in the prescription to have the medication finally filled. Then I'm checking out, and I'm being charged the full price of the prescription when my insurance card is in the system. This happens each time I go. Go somewhere else!!! read more
