Just left Walgreens Mercer Island. 6:10 pm. On duty was one young lady working the cash register. The line was about 7 people long so she called for help. She was pleasant and efficient. The person assigned to help with a second register was a young lady named Brianna. She came from the back complaining and asking irritatedly "why do I have to do it?" Very unprofessional. When the young man (Roosevelt) who was also working, suggested I move over to Brianna's line, I said I preferred to stay in the line I was in. Honestly, after a long day working at my own job, I just didn't want to be exposed to Brianna's negative attitude. Roosevelt then walked by and said to Brianna something about not being the one who would be moving the tampons. I felt they were both unprofessional in front of customers. This is my favorite place to buy cigarettes! The staff here are very friendly and remember me and the cigs I want to buy (probably because I come almost everyday!) This Walgreens also has lots of good deals such as $3 6 packs of big flats beer and a huge assortment of off brand candy that is very delicious! The really fat guy there known to me as Reknall is my favorite clerk, he never fails at putting a smile on my face with his whitty jokes. The fat woman though, known as Reknalls mom is a very slow clerk and I regret when I have to buy cigs from her. All in all this is probably the best place to buy cigs in the greater Seattle area and maybe all of WA! read more

I took my three boys in for a flu vaccine. We waited 30 minutes only to be told that they didn't have flu vaccine for children. Please be careful when shopping at this store. Pay attention to your receipt. I bought 4 items and one was $5 off. Cashier did not deduct amount. I became suspicious and went back and decided to return 3 items. Manager only refunded 2 items into a gift card. I alerted her that I returned 3 items and the amount does not add up. She became irritated and asked another person to help. He could not and had to call her back. She wanted to refund me the value of the item which would mean I don't get the tax refunded. Finally I get a refund of over $70 to 2 Walgreens cards. I went to Rite Aid and the same items were 1/2 price. Reading glasses, same company were 'buy on get second free.' Agent at Rite Aid was friendly. Please pay attention to your receipt as I strongly suspect that the issue is not incompetence but rather 'cheating'. read more

My prescription was dropped off in the early morning. When I came back at evening to pick it up, the pharmacist told me to wait for an hour. I am unhappy about it but decided to wait. Once I got my medication, I had a feeling that my order was not properly processed. Sure enough, he said there are 90 pills but only 89 were in the bottle! Agree with all the reviews about the terrible customer service of this branch pharmacy. While the branch staff are very friendly and helpful, the pharmacy associates are reluctant to serve customers and their objective is to send them away to other pharmacies. Unfortunately I had to use their services as they are the only pharmacy in the North Island, but I am fed up now after repeatedly sending reminders that subscriptions are ready and you go to pick them, they say we are working on them. When you ask why do you send reminders, they just say: call the 800 number! Very disappointing. read more

This is by far, the WORST pharmacy experience of my life. I gave it a try for several months but the service seemed to get worse and worse. They could never fill things on time, would not communicate with me OR my doctor regarding issues with insurance, and caused serious health problems due to their negligence. The two-star average review is generous. Mainly this review is about the pharmacy, which I've experienced as wildly irresponsible and unprofessional. Irresponsible: they continue to not stock medications my kid needs monthly and regularly orders at Walgreens (finally, no more: we've switched). Their repeat excuse: "we have trouble projecting demand." Impossible to comprehend that, given I've told them this is a monthly thing so they can go ahead and include her regular prescription in their demand planning estimates! Also, zero ability to problem solve. "We can't fill your prescription because you need 90 and we only have 86 in stock." OMG PLEASE GIVE ME THE 86 THEN! (This literally happened - but you won't get information about them having the 86 in stock until you ask, and ask again, and escalate, and ask again.) Further, "We can't fill your prescription because we are out of stock." OK, well, do you have it at twice the volume but half the dosage? We can do it that way! "Oh, yes, ok." Again, you won't get the option for problem solving until you dig in very thoroughly. As a customer, I expect the pharmacist to be doing this problem solving, NOT ME. Unprofessional: Calling out my DOB repeatedly and loudly (for anyone in line and in the near vicinity to hear). "Patient privacy" is an extremely convenient slogan to hide behind but do not for a minute fool yourself that anyone at Walgreens cares about your privacy. I now hand them a business card with my address and DOB written on the back so there is no need for them to REPEAT IT OUT LOUD as they always did before. Zero interest in customer service: web site hours for flu shots are just plain wrong, and when you tell them that, there is an apparent inability to comprehend that you are providing feedback about an inaccurate and bad customer experience that you believe they should be responsible for fixing. I don't care that you don't control the website. Do you work for the organization? Then provide the feedback so it gets to the right people who do control the website. None of this is rocket science and it's extremely basic customer services. Do you want to be treated like they're doing you a favor by every now and then grudgingly agreeing to provide extremely lousy service to you? Then head straight to Walgreens pharmacy - they will give you exactly what you are looking for. One star is overly generous. read more

Wow. Shame on Walgreens for hiring the most miserable human beings on this planet. If that's what you were going for, then congrats. There is one lady who works in the cosmetic area and she's very nice but the rest you'd think we're on death row facing execution after the store closes. Guy who just rang me literally said NOTHING to me. Not hi, not bye, NOTHING. Oh actually he did grunt ... So there's that. I understand retail can be hard - I worked it for 4 years, so I feel your pain buddy but good lord at least say "hi" and maybe "have a good day??" Maybe? I get that we all have bad days but you're getting paid. If you are having THAT bad of a day, call in sick. Your one job is checking people out and saying hi. And you can't even do that.. read more

While this Walgreens is conveniently located, some of the pharmacy assistants are extremely unhelpful and rude. I went in with a sinus infection to pick up a prescription that had been emailed about 45 minutes earlier, which she confirmed, and she kept saying it had "just" gotten in. I kindly asked her when it could be filled, and she told me 30-40 minutes. I used to fill at various Rite Aids and they ALWAYS fill within 15 minutes if I am in the store. She told me I could wait for the 30-40 minutes, although I was visibly and audibly extremely ill. She gave me attitude and was rude. I bought something else and she wouldn't even talk to me and handed over my receipt without saying anything. I nicely said thank you before leaving, although I would think she's the one who should be polite to me as the customer. I've worked in health care before and you are always supposed to be kind to patients. I'm completely taken aback by this rudeness. read more

My go to place for picking up daily vitas! I've used the drive thru pharmacy a few times and really liked the friendliness of their pharmacists!! I'd recommend this place to my fellow islanders. read more

This Walgreens has some good features, such as drive through service, good selection, and plenty of parking. Their pharmacists are friendly and helpful, but they are chronically understaffed so count on plenty of waiting for service and getting prescriptions filled. They stock a large selection of OTC items which is handy for shopping while you wait for your pharmacy order. Overall they could greatly improve their service by adding staff behind the pharmacy and check out counters. read more
