HORRIBLE Customer service in Pharmacy. Try calling in just for a short quick question, you will be on hold for 10-15 minutes minimum. Within that time, two or three reps will answer, and tell you to stay on hold, they will get back to you quickly. Stopped in to make a prescription pick up. Crystal was at the pharmacy. She was helpful, courteous and pleasant. I was taken care of quickly and efficiently. I made my way to the front and decided to pick up a bag of chips and some dip. Alice was at the front counter. Once again, a pleasant, courteous and helpful employee! I scheduled online for a flu shot at Walgreens.com, but got there and they don't take reservations. After filling out the paperwork, they told me they would call me. 40 minutes later, I went back to the counter and they had lost my order. So incompetent!!!! read more

I wonder if Denise E. Is referring to the same troll of a manager I had the misfortune of meeting up with today. Deb is her name, vileness is her game. She is abusive to customers and staff...poor little ugly thing has to yield whatever minuscule amount of power she has over the unsuspecting. Too bad she got so old w/o educating herself and adjusting her negative disposition so that she could get a real job and retire w/ dignity. Now she is stuck at this dump stocking shelves in the middle of the night. What a miserable piece of goods. There are so many competitors nearby w/ cheaper prices. This particular location is open 24 hours which made it convenient for this early riser, but given that Deb is so nasty, I will readily wait until 8 am when nearby stores open. read more

Only by coincidence did I run across the Yelp page for Walgreen's in one of my favorite shopping centers in Palm Springs. (SmokeTree) It was quite entertaining to see the negative comments made by most of the lower rated (one to four stars) comments. It makes me remember what and who are in "Drug Stores" buying product and especially medication. Wondering why these silly and trite complaints and rantings about the absolutely cleanest and best displayed and stocked, most organized with easily locatable items Walgreen Stores I have ever been - in the entire country. It make me remember why I like Palm Springs so much. Read the complaints for yourself and it is obvious why prescriptions are so necessary! Even though Palm Springs may be a "tourist town" - this store and staff are so helpful and try to locate whatever you need. Even if this store may not have it, I have had the manager locate the item at another store and I was able to pick it up at the other location or at Smoke Tree Store later. Reading the comments, you can judge for yourself who indeed is in need of medication and for the obvious reason. See if you get better service at other drug stores. I am thinking NOT! These same complaining people are ranting lunatics that are the same crazies that are out on the road, complaining at restaurants, and generally trying to make everyone as miserable as themselves. (Or maybe they've calmed down now they have received their medications - LOL) This particular Walgreen's is definitely a flag-ship store and Walgreen's should be very proud to have a store that is so exemplary. And for the ranter that complained about the pharmacy being closed for lunch - that is at any drug store and I believe it is law. I see that it is posted and probably on the phone recording. For small stores with less volume than the big cities, it is rare that you can see a store with more than one licensed pharmacist on duty. I personally witnessed (who I believed was) the manager of this store take a dime out of his pocket to pay for plastic bag (the charge that the City of Palm Springs imposed to cut down on using plastic bags) for a man in line at the cashier and the customer was even more incensed that the store was being "sarcastic and ingratiating". It was explained that it was the charge imposed by the city and not something the store charged. He wasn't happy and informed everyone that he was a tourist and should not have to pay such a charge and said that he would never return to Palm Springs. Wishing I had a dime myself to put on the counter, I assured the cashier how much I appreciated the 'goodwill' and I would be a customer for life after seeing how much was done to try to please the customer. Later I thought, I hope that customer went and complained to the City of Palm Springs and stopped harassing the retailers, and then took his bad attitude, plastic bag and never make good on his promise to never return to Palm Springs! "His kind ain't welcome here in these parts!" I know you can't please everyone all the time, however I appreciate all this store has to offer and the incredible cleanliness, service and selection! No better Walgreens on the map for sure! Keep up the good work in SmokeTree! Palm Springs is a great place to live and the stores in SmokeTree Commons are a shining example of why I love to live here! Thank you Walgreens at Smoke Tree! And remember, before you leave a negative rant about a store as excellent as this one in SmokeTree Commons, keep in mind you will have everyone read about how trivial and ridiculous your complaint is looking to the rest of the world! read more

Pharmacist helped me with a particular issue/problem, and I know he went far over and beyond normal expectations....all very willingly, without complaining. Great attitude, very helpful. Rx ready in probably less than 10 minutes. Only comment I would really have is that when you walk up to the counter, there can be 4 or 5 pharmacy people working behind the counter, and not one acknowledges that you're there. It always takes too long for someone to offer to help you, or even say "we'll be with you in a minute" read more

I have had mostly great experiences with this pharmacy. Unfortunately, my new prescription coverage is with CVS/Caremark. I am not happy about it . . . but that is the new way of insurance coverage. Special kudos to Brian, the pharmacy tech. He has gone out of his way to be helpful and assist if there are any problems. They are lucky to have him. My only complaint is that some of the other pharmacy techs are "snippy" and not very helpful. Also, their wait time if you need to call can sometimes be totally out of control. 45 minutes the last time. read more

The staff is always super helpful and friendly every time i visit, whether i need dog food, diapers, or drugs (legal stuff only) there is almost always someone around to help with any questions i have. Even the store manager Mr. Albert i think his name is has helped me out on more than one occasion. love love love this store. read more

Store manager was bashing the pharmacist in front of people, it was the 25th (Christmas morning). She doesn't understand the idea of teamwork. The PharmD was taking his time to explain how to take medicine and what side effects to expect- I think it's reasonable for someone to do a good job. At this point, there were other two people waiting to talk to him, because they won't give the meds to people before that. Store manager was telling people that they were swamped, that she only has one pharmacist etc in a tragic voice! How about apologize and offer water? Pretend like you are a team. Stop being stressed, and calm people down instead of making them even more angry by the time they speak to your pharmacist. Instead, after pharmacist came back after giving a flu shot, she was there micromanaging and told him which person was next to talk to him (totally omitted the person that was the most pissed off at this point)...and then check this BELITTLED HIM by saying that he explained how to take the meds twice to this person and that's why person #2 was PO. Person #1 had other meds she wanted to fill and at this point she was asking things a tech should answer. PharmD said to her 'I'm just doing my job, please!' Look, we all have coworkers we don't rave about! But you my friend (store manager) need an in service pronto!!!And hello, disrespecting him and being counterproductive can only result in a mistake! read more
