The pharmacy staff is rude. They are understaffed and the pharmacist regularly undermines physician orders for prescriptions. It's unfortunate that this pharmacy is the only one available in Paradise, CA. They have ridiculous bankers hours. Worst pharmacy I ever worked with, but are the only option here. This place has lied to me when I tried to have a script filled for pain meds for my broken back. They said that my insurance would cover more then a week of the script. I told my doctor and he was furious as they lied to me because Im on medi-cal and the limit what a doctor says a patient needs. They are now the only pharmacy near us, but they are sooo much better than the one that closed in Paradise My Dad is not too mobile, so its a very nice service for him to be able to use the drive thru. Having surgery and MD sends prescriptions to be filled four days prior to surgery. After spending over an hour two days later waiting, I left empty handed. Went back the day before surgery and left with one prescription. No pain meds for post-op pain. I realize they are under staffed, but after speaking with people inside the pharmacy and being told prescriptions were ready, I am not happy. read more

Honestly I myself will never go to this Walgreens again, the pharmacy is beyond rude and doesn't care about the health and wellness of our community. The actual pharmacist told me themselves that they do not care that they don't have the prescription I needed. They will look at you with a blank look on their face and barely offer you any help. Also if you need to wait in line for your prescription be ready to wait about 2 years because they ignore everyone who walks into the pharmacy. As for the actual Walgreens staff themselves I have never had a issue with them, they have all been nice and helpful Everytime I came in. I would love to have given this place more stars just for the Walgreens part but this is for how horribly the pharmacy has treated me and may others in the past. It never ceases to amaze me that the majority of people that write on Yelp are the negative ones. So to those of you reading these reviews, keep that in mind. Happy customers don't seem to feel the need to rate places of business, or perhaps they are just busy living their positive lives. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this pharmacy. I have done business with several different pharmacies over the many years here in Paradise, CA. Walgreens is equally comparable to other large pharmacies and even the small ones in our town. The staff has always been helpful and I found ready to fill my prescriptions as quickly as possible. I value the fact they have an excellent drive-up and extended hours. Plus an added bonus is if you can't get in to the pharmacy before it closes in Paradise, you can go to Chico where they will have the records as well, 24 hours a day to fill your order. I've never had great luck here, but it hasn't been "bad". Once you learn to place your prescription orders well in advance, you should be fine. If you're looking for quick turn around for medication you ordered same day, good luck. Tonight was an entirely different story. My son and I hit the drive thru with three people ahead of us. Not too bad. Things were moving along fine. We progressed to the front of the two lane split at a reasonable pace. At this point the lady who had just assisted the customer in front of us proceeded to type away for 3-4 minutes and then vanish. We then waited 27 minutes. During this time a pile of 6 more cars had arrived behind and next to us. I was never told to hold on, or given any reason to wait for an excessive period of time. We were just left there. Even my mild mannered 7yr old son started to express his distaste for this poor service. We've decided to try out a different pharmacy next time. read more

Never have my prescriptions ready on time. I get an e mail saying my prescription is ready for pick up And they always have the same excuse. We don't have anything ready for you. I even show them the email that their system generated. What's your excuse now. What's your date of birth. Then they say we will have it ready for you in twenty minutes. This so inconvenient having to make two trips to Walgreens or having to hang around for twenty minutes. I think it's a scam so people will walk around the store and hopefully buy something else. read more

I have a baby under 30 days old. Insurance for the first 30 days of a baby being born the baby it ran under the policy holder and birth date my newborn needed antibiotics and Christie refused to follow my insurance policy rules so four days later my daughter still has not recived her antibiotics thanks for helping a mom out this has beyond blowed my mind considering there always screwing up something i was on the phone from 7am to 5pm trying to get this fixed when my insurance said lets three way the insurance told them what there problem was and christie told her no read more

Terrible pharmacy! I had a prescription for 100 tablets to fill, and the pharmacist decided to only give me 30 tablets. When I explained I wanted all 100 tablets, as the prescription was written, I was given a lot of attitude from the pharmacy technician, who was terribly rude and in dire need of customer service training. This was my first and last visit to the Walgreens pharmacy. I would recommend you steer clear of this place if you want to get what your doctor prescribed. read more

Although the prescriptions were not ready when I got there, (You can blame that one on the clinic she went to), the technician called the clinic and got everything fixed. They are polite but lack a system for those who can't stand a long time. No pick a number system. Every month I get messages meds are ready but when I arrive they are not ready particularly when it's a first time fill. They have great prices on socks and stocking caps which are high in fiber but they taste terrible. read more

If you are looking to buy products or purchase photos then this location is the appropriate place to shop. However, if you have a perscription to fill I highly recommend you do not use this pharmacy. Ninety percent of the time I have issues with picking up my perscriptions. For example, earlier today my perscription was ready and I went through the drive thru window to pick it up. When I arrived the woman told me that my insurance did not cover the medicine. I told her I would go to the bank to get the cash to pay for it and be back later to pick it up. So a couple of hours later I show up and spoke with another woman to pick up the perscription. She told me that they don't even have the medication. I told her it was bagged and ready to go earlier in the day so what happened to it. I basically waited for 30 minutes while they "searched" for the medicine only to tell me they didn't have it. She did not offer to go ahead and fill it for me again. She never told me how long it would be. In fact she was short with me and gave me attitude. I don't appreicate being treated poorly for a mistake that was clearly not mine. Anyways, I asked for my perscription back and headed down the road to another pharmacy. The "other" pharmacy treated me with respect and suprisingly the same exact medication was covered by my insurance. As it turns out I saved over $100 by going somewhere else, so thanks to the lady who was rude to me, she actually saved me some money. :) I would not recommend for anyone to use this pharmacy unless you like waiting in line for over 30 minutes, being treated poorly and leaving without your medication. read more

This pharmacy used to be really great, not sure what happened to it! In January 2014 I needed to find out if my prescription was ready to be picked up. After being on hold for 35 minutes decided to drive down there. With my cell phone still on hold waiting for assistance I drove up to the drive-up window. I am disabled and it is difficult to stand in line and wait for a prescription to be filled. A young girl with two of her friends came swooping out of nowhere and practically cut me off to get in line ahead of me. She buzzed the window and sat there talking and laughing with the clerk inside the store for about 5 minutes. She kept looking over at me to see if I was watching them. Then, without purchasing one thing or picking up a prescription she and her friends drove off. She just used the drive-up window to talk to her friend inside. Meanwhile, I am still on hold waiting for someone to pick up the phone inside. I waited another 25 minutes for someone to finally come and assist me only to be told they did not have my medication.
