Happy customers don't seem to feel the need to rate places of business, or perhaps they are just busy living their positive lives. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this pharmacy. I have done business with several different pharmacies over the many years here in Paradise, CA. Walgreens is equally comparable to other large pharmacies and even the small ones in our town. The staff has always been helpful and I found ready to fill my prescriptions as quickly as possible. I value the fact they have an excellent drive-up and extended hours. Plus an added bonus is if you can't get in to the pharmacy before it closes in Paradise, you can go to Chico where they will have the records as well, 24 hours a day to fill your order. Don't listen to the negative ratings, give this pharmacy a try yourself.

Was going to use my credit card as I always do, but there was a $0.35 charge for using the credit card. So that was the end of that - I wonder if places know that charging to use a credit card or even having a minimum total bill before a credit card is accepted, is a violation of their contract with credit card companies and they could have their credit card account revoked and they would be limited to cash and debit cards....

The Mexican place has limited hours. I haven't tried it yet, but when I do, I will write a review. The convenience store and the gas is open 24 hours. There is a post office here, but there is no counter service. It's primarily. P.O. Box and mail pick up by local residents. They do have a 24 hour mail drop, with pick up in the early morning. The convenience store is nice. It's clean, and the people are friendly. I like the decorations in the store. It has your usual. Beer, wine, food, snack, snacks, sundries, and it also has a small hardware section, which a good amount is winter gear. It has a small but nice souvenir section as well. Prices are pretty typical on some items, and then on others, they are a bit higher. I got an amazing beef jerky, and the price was reasonable for what I got They do sell chains in the winter time, but believe me, you are going to pay for them. There's plenty of parking, including truck and RV parking. There's also a popular snow park in the winter time. The elephant in the room, is, of course, the gas prices. You are pretty much in the middle of nowhere, with only a few gas stations in the immediate area, so you are definitely going to pay for gas. The best thing to do is fill up in Sacramento, Auburn, or Reno. The gas in Colfax and Truckee is a bit higher, but still well below what they charge here. I like this store. I will be back.
