Great drug store as Walgreens go, but do not like the pharmacy. The people working are wonderful people and know what they're doing, but the last 3 times I've gone there it has taken 20-30 minutes to simply pay for my prescription. Makes me want to say "Shut up and take my money!!" Also, if you have Blue Shield, your birth control may be free by mail order instead of the $40 that I had to pay PER PACK. I had also had a coupon attached to my prescription that they completely ignored. Not going back there. Getting my pills through my insurance mail order. read more

I've used Walgreens pharmacy for a few years now & never had any issues until now. I don't know if they got new phamacists or WHAT but they have NO IDEA what they are doing. Every time I've been in there recently, they're rude. Ridiculously rude. Not to mention the fact that they've "remade" two of my prescriptions now. Luckily I'm an honest person & told them I already picked them up. But for someone who abuses pills, which in this area I would say that's quite a few people, they wouldn't have been so honest. I just changed health coverage as of Jan 2019. This is unfortunately my nearest pharmacy. I have been there 4X in the past month. The first time, 8 hrs after my doctor submitted my prescription, when I went to pick up that same night, it wasn't ready. They said because they couldn't see what my insurance coverage was on their computer. I was asked to come back the next day. Another time, after specifically looking in the eyes and spelling out "twice" the prescription I came to pick up to the cashier he still gave me the wrong one. I return to the pharmacy to return wrong prescription, and was asked to come back next day as it wouldn't be ready. I come back, and they only had 17 pills (not full qty), so again they said come back next day. I paid that day, and asked the young lady if I need to bring my receipt tomorrow when I return for pick up. She said no because it's in computer already. I went back, and I was charged for the remaining pills. Long story ...but every trip I've made to pharmacy has been terrible. The cashiers have no idea of what they are saying or doing. Yesterday I dropped off a prescription for my daughter and I called to check to see if it was ready.. Someone answered and put me on hold for about 5 minuets then hung up the call.. So I called again this time they automatically put me on hold after 3 minuets they hung up my call again. This pharmacy is unprofessional!! read more

I keep wanting to have a pleasant experience here since it is close to my house, but every single time I order something in the photo department, I am incredibly disappointed. Today I had ordered a gift for my partner for our anniversary. It said it would be ready at 130, but they're never ever ready on time. I called at 2 and the woman said it hadn't even been started yet. So I waited another hour and picked it up. When I got home and gave it to my partner, it fell apart. The photo wasn't glued to the wood panel, and just came off in his hands. Obviously it was carelessly made. So I brought it back and the man asked me to wait while he remade it. He gave me 50% off, which was ok, but after making 3 trips for the same thing, and a lot of wasted time, in my opinion it should have been free at that point. I got back home with the fixed one, and there wasn't a peg in the envelope like there had been before to prop it up. I called to ask if I could come pick one up another time because I don't have 4 trips to Walgreens in one day In me, and I was on hold for 10 minutes. 3 people answered at different times to find someone in photo I could talk to, and no one was available. And this isn't the first time. A manager had to give me another photo gift free a couple of months ago because it was done wrong and not on time. I see multiple other negative and low reviews, so it seems that corporate, managers and staff just don't care, which is really sad. It's close to my house, but I feel the need to bring my business elsewhere because they're so unreliable and truly do not care. I wish I could give a separate review of employees, because there's a very tall young man who is a greeter, and he is fabulous. Always goes above and beyond to help people and make sure they're happy. read more

For a pharmacy with a drive through rx drop off and pick up, you'd think they would be more efficient. There is ALWAYS a long line for both drive through and walk in. I usually end up choosing the drive through as I can at least listen to my music and not have to hear children scream or be coughed on by some gross person. However they need to enforce some drive up rules such as quick drop off or pick up only! I swear I've seen angry people just park their cars and refuse to move without getting whatever problem they have solved even if it means sitting there for half an hour waiting for it to filled, screwing over everyone behind them! They need rules and security. They also more competent staff! Pretty frequently they say my insurance won't cover something and may my insurance is invalid even though it comes directly out of my paycheck every 2 weeks and it's total bs! I have to do the work and call my insurance who always says, yeah your covered we don't know what that pharmacy is talking about. Seriously I can't tell you how much time ive wasted here. I called this location at around 5 530 on February 14th just to check to see if an item was in stock was kept on hold nobody answered the phone it seems like someone will pick up the phone and then put it back on hold I went to the store while still on hold saw a lady in the Cosmetics aisle asked her if anyone answering the phone today she reply to me by saying yes I showed her my cell phone and replied I've been on hold for over 15 minutes no one is answering the phone she looked at the phone number and said well you are here now how can I help you we went over to the next aisle where I made my purchase from a locked counter paid for the item in the cosmetics then I went over grabbed to Arizona Iced Teas out of the cooler paid for it in photo once again waited in line for about 5 minutes customer was just taking a bit too long when I asked associate in photo once again if anyone have an answering the phones she replied yes and when I told her I've been waiting for 15 minutes to check the availability of an item and then I walked into the store with my phone in hand still on hold the lady gave me a rude half-ass apology and said well as you can see we're extremely busy today but I apologize with an attitude I pay for my items and reply to her no apology needed that's why there's something called Yelp reviews and corporate reviews and I'll be contacting both of them never had this issue and seven years of stopping at the store but just a typical day in Pittsburg no customer service whatsoever read more

I was super sick with pneumonia and needed my medications in a hurry so I could go home and get to sleep. I checked in with the staff and the counter and told them my dr would be calling in my prescription. They said they had not received it yet and had me take a seat. Literally an hr later I went up to the counter to ask what was taking so long and they said they still had no prescription! They let me just sit there for an hr coughing and having trouble breathing without checking in on me or checking with my dr once. I then called the dr only to find out that this Walgreens had put them on hold for 30 mins! And the dr had to hang up to move on to other patients. Walgreens then refused to take the prescription any other way and insisted my dr call back and sit on hold yet again to get through. It wasn't until I had to cause a huge scene in the waiting room and demand a manager call my dr them-self until they finally got it together and got my prescription and then another 10 mins after that to fill it. I left this Walgreens 1 1/2 hrs later and finally headed home to rest!!!! I always go to Walgreens for my prescriptions but this was my first and last time ever using this one on railroad! The pharmacy clerks wearing blue seem friendly and polite. they were fine. but i did not like it when i heard this chinese looking lady in white coat - may be their superior, yelled at her coworker in a demeaning manner. They both seem to be pharmacists but if that is how their boss treats her subordinate that speaks for itself. I look at her face and i felt bad for the poor lady who was wearing white coat too. I said i don't want that chick to handle my prescriptions. But just my luck when i came back another day to get my medicines the chinese lady was the one who talked to me at the small window. she was not pleasant at all and i saw her rolling her eyes in frustration when all i wanted was for her to answer some questions i got. If you work in pharmacies like this you should brush up on your people skills first. read more

about the pharmacy: the first time i got a prescription filled they gave me pills from two different manufacturers. if you know anything about big pharma, which evidently they don't or don't care, different companies use different fillers which can react differently in your body. so i took both bottles back. i was given a hard time. the 2nd refill: i called them and asked them if the pills were from XXX company and they said yes. when i got the rx. they were again from a different manufacturer. i took it back. they said the ones i wanted were on backorder until october and to go somewhere else. i returned the pills and got a refund and went to another walgreens over the hill. they were also short on them, but said they could order them and they would be delivered in one day. When the person tried to access my info on the computer, turns out the the bad walgreens did not cancel out the rx so it looked like it was filled....more phone calls. the person at the new walgreens called me back within minutes and said it was all taken care of and i could pick up the right rx tomorrow. wish me luck. read more
