I ordered a custom birthday cake from Walmart Bakery and provided a reference photo with very specific details. The baker was a shorter African American lady with glasses. I understood they didn't have the red ribbon decorations from the inspiration photo, and I specifically told them that was completely fine. However, I emphasized that I wanted the small dainty hearts and the word "seventeen" written in small cursive script, similar to the reference image. Unfortunately, the final cake looked nothing like what I requested. The writing was thick, and not cursive at all. The small hearts I specifically asked for were completely missing. The overall design lacked the delicate, elegant look that was the main reason I chose that inspiration photo in the first place. What was especially disappointing was that while placing the order, the decorator seemed extremely confident that she understood exactly what I wanted. Because of that, my family and I felt somewhat dismissed and hesitant to continue making suggestions or clarifying details. Looking back, I wish we had pushed harder, but we trusted that our request had been understood. I understand that not every cake can be an exact replica, and I wasn't expecting perfection. However, the key design elements I specifically requested--the cursive writing and dainty hearts--were not included at all. For a custom cake order, I expected much closer attention to the details that were discussed. Overall, I was very disappointed with the final result.

this is one of the the largest Walmarts here in the East Bay. you got your average things you find at Walmart, and you got other departments, like Garden, Tires and Electronics. a McDonalds is also there, so you can order while you shop i came for hair styling gel for my sexy curls im tryna improve. support is all over the store, and self checkout is convenient for runs like mines

Much cheaper than U-haul (moving boxes and tape) packing paper

I gave it 3 stars because the bathrooms and the store is clean. I came here looking for boxes and packing tape and the guy who was hanging up the raider shirts and 49 shirts I stopped and asked if he could tell me where to find them.. He just nodded his head took out his phone and I was like what is he doing? I figured he was looking it up online. He points in a different direction and says F7 or something like that.. I walk over to F7 when I walked there it's nothing but a bunch of Christmas stuff marked down. Thanks a lot. I went to check myself online and it's in I-13. Pretty crappy thing to do but whatever.

I had a great experience in this Walmart Supercenter location. The supermarket was quite spacious, more spacious than other Walmart Supercenter locations nearby. The restrooms were clean and the store seemed well stocked and maintained. Overall, this is a great Walmart location to visit.

    Asher, Antioch CA worst coach.

We were at this location tonight and received the most atrocious excuse for customer service. Walmart has a store policy that they will price match to Walmart.com. We purchased items that did not ring up according to the scanned price. We headed to customer service to resolve the issue. We encounter a gentleman by the name of Asher, who is apparently a front end coach and the sorry excuse for the manager on duty. Not only did this man try to man-splain the policy to me. He refused to talk to me and only addressed my partner. He then decided that "we" were rude and would not price match according to the Walmart store policy. Asher then called some gentleman named Joel to escort us out of the store. Joel was on his phone while standing next to my partner. Asher has no idea what customer service is. As someone who is supposed to be training other individuals in customer service, I strongly encourage Walmart to send Asher for retraining in the customer service experience.

When I reached the front, I wasn't greeted at all. While I understand that everyone can have an off day, it's still something I notice. The associate moved my bag to the side and scanned all of my items but didn't place anything into the bag, which I found odd. I looked around and saw other cashiers bagging items as they scanned them for their customers. When she finished, she handed me my receipt and left all of my items sitting there, even though everything easily fit into one bag. I asked if bagging items was no longer part of the process. She responded that they do bag items but said she "has a line," and immediately began ringing up the next customer while bagging their items. I pointed out that bagging is part of the job, but she ignored me. When I asked if she heard me, she said she could bag them, but by then I chose to bag my items myself. It didn't make sense that she used having a line as a reason, especially since bagging items would have kept things moving efficiently. What was more frustrating was that she chose not to bag my items but did so for the very next customer. That felt dismissive and disrespectful. I've shopped at this Target for years and have never had an experience like this. The associate's name was Adrianna. I also spoke with a manager, who mentioned that some customers prefer to bag their own items. However, that explanation doesn't apply when the associate doesn't even ask. The manager also didn't seem particularly apologetic, which is why I'm writing this review. I hope this situation is addressed so other customers don't have a similar experience.

I kept going back hoping it would improve but that has not happened. To be fair, I did not experience the rudeness that some other reviewers mentioned. The staff were not rude to me personally. The problem here is the overall condition of the store and what appears to be a lack of management or basic upkeep. If I am being honest the overall experience is about a .25 out of 5 stars. Let's start with the security situation because it is honestly one of the strangest parts of the whole experience. When the store first opened you could walk in normally and security would welcome you with a smile. Now they have a retractable belt barrier at the entrance like you are about to enter some exclusive shopping experience. Unfortunately the big reveal on the other side is mostly empty fragrance shelves and clothes all over the floor. The guard gives this long speech about how the system is supposed to improve the shopping experience and then closes the belt behind you like you are being admitted into a club. The last time I went in I was so disappointed that I left after about one minute. The guard was busy at the register and I literally had to move the belt and let myself out. Not sure why I felt the need to close the belt behind me but I did... Meanwhile right outside the doors there are often homeless people sitting on the floor hanging out near the entrance and security does nothing about it. If the goal is to make customers feel comfortable walking in the store maybe start there. Why not trespass people who are camping out at the front door instead of making paying customers feel like they need permission to enter? Now the store itself is even worse. Anyone who is into fragrances knows Burlington can sometimes be a great place to find deals. Well not at this Burlington. The fragrance shelves are usually almost empty and what little is there is disorganized and toppled over. I can walk in and scan the entire section in about one minute before realizing there is nothing there. The clothing section is somehow even more chaotic. The racks are packed together with sizes completely mixed up and clothes all over the floor. It looks like the version of the store that you likely know and would expect to see ten minutes before closing on a major holiday except this is how it looks in the middle of the day. Compared to the Pittsburg Burlington the difference is night and day. That store is organized, stocked well, and actually enjoyable to shop in. This location feels like nobody is really paying attention to what is happening in the building. It is honestly disappointing because I was excited to finally have a Burlington closer to home where I could check for fragrances and deals more often. Instead it has been a letdown every single visit. The Pittsburg store clearly knows how to run a Burlington. This location might want to call them and ask how it is done

During that visit, I exchanged it for three dresses, a perfume, and a pair of earrings. When I got home, I tried on the dresses before washing them and found that two of them did not fit properly. The material was uncomfortable and itchy, and the dresses were too tight in the chest area. I decided to keep the perfume, earrings, and one dress, but planned to return the two dresses that did not work for me. On June 16, 2026, I returned to the store to shop and return the two dresses. During the return process, the cashier asked why I was returning them, and I explained that there was nothing wrong with the dresses--they simply did not fit. The cashier then called another employee over to assist. Neither employee was wearing a name tag, so I am unsure of their positions. The second employee asked whether I had worn the dresses, and I explained that I had only tried them on. She then asked where the tags were. I honestly told her that I had not noticed the tags were missing and checked the original bag from my previous transaction. What made me uncomfortable was the way the situation was handled. When I explained that I did not know where the tags were, the employee responded, "That's impossible. What do you mean they didn't have tags? It's not like they're going to magically come off themselves." I felt embarrassed and uncomfortable by the tone and manner in which I was spoken to, especially in front of other customers and employees. I understand that store policies must be followed and that questions may need to be asked regarding returns. However, I believe those questions can be asked professionally and respectfully. I completed the return process and chose not to argue at the time, but I wanted to share this experience because the interaction left me feeling humiliated and unwelcome. I hope this feedback can be used to remind employees of the importance of treating customers with courtesy and respect, even when addressing concerns about a return.

In the past, I found the shopping center to be pretty dull compared to some of the other malls and shopping areas I've visited around the Bay Area. However, since it was purchased by a new owner, I've noticed some improvements and renovations that have given the area a much-needed refresh. New additions like Handel's, Vine + Grain, and the upcoming Slice House are making the center feel more lively and promising.
