This store has made significant improvements. Yes, some of the improvements mean high theft items are now locked up and you need assistance to purchase, but that keeps theft down and prices from going up. Stopped in the other day to buy TyLenox arthritis meds, one of the locked items, and the price here was several dollars less than other stores. While there I perused the aisles. Was pleased to see that everything was well organized and fully stocked. The store was clean and bright. Big improvement, kudos to the management. Parking right out front in their own lot makes it even more convenient. read more

Terrible store and getting worse since being made private in March. Recently I went for a passport photo there. It was supposed to be emailed to me. That occurred, but it was double protected so they sent me a text too. The text never came so I went back and got a refund. Went to UPS and had no problem getting my photo. Then a family member tried to return a package via FedEx. Walgreens does FedEx returns. A similar issue. We gave them the package and the FedEx paperwork but they could not make it work. We went to the FedEx shop instead and the return took less than 10 seconds. Only two people working there today. Calls for customer service coming in from all over the store. The cashier was busy and the other person was trying to figure out the FedEx return. Freezer and Cooler broken down again too. What a joke. read more

The pharmacy has historically been my favorite at the 33rd location. They kept sending me the wrong automated messages and when I called twice to get clarification they acted as if I was the problem. They don't actively listen and try to rush to get off the phone without resolving problems. This guy literally told me that he didn't want to "confuse me even more" because he thought I was the one having a hard time understating. Never apologized for the mixup. The person in charge, a guy with a heavy accent, will not help you if you have a problem.. he won't even dig into it to try figuring it out. Pros: super close to my house, over the top friendly staff, clean, and usually well stocked. Pharmacy is a bit quicker than some in my opinion. Cons: getting harassed and yelled at by the several houseless folks that literally sit in the doorway...stepping over or going around the gross trash that is left there... I almost prefer to get in my car and drive somewhere else to get a few items I like from Walgreens. I get the housing crisis and mental health aspect but it doesn't mean I have to endure the name calling and feel like crap leaving there. read more

Very convenient location with ample parking. Staff are consistently nice and helpful. Selections are plenty and have a bit of everything you need. Panhandlers can be a challenge at times (pretty aggressive) so just be aware of your surroundings. read more

Today they said they can no longer cover my pain medications, meds I take after I had 5 surgeries for two stage 4 illnesses and a bladder and bowel reconstruction. Pretty heartless; they're concerned about covering their ass, not helping me. And the pharmacist didn't even call, a staff person did. They didn't even talk to me first; rather they called another doctor (not the one who prescribes pain meds) and investigated me. It was creepy and uncalled for, considering I have not been receiving pain meds for very long at all. They treat me like a junkie, not someone who is recovering from several severe and life-threatening conditions, which they didn't even inquire about. They're really insensitive assholes. They were jerks about it and they care about covering their own butts over the patients. That part is extremely clear. read more

Pretty good Walgreens. Kind of small but I find more here than some of the larger ones. I mostly use the pharmacy and they are always ready by the fill time and nice staff in the pharmacy that will ring up my other items. Last time I was there I was looking for sunscreen and the woman working in that area came over to help and seemed like she knew everything about sunscreen. Very nice. There do tend to be people outside begging for money so that I don't like but I guess not their fault? read more

I would give this zero stars right now if I could. Mike the Pharmacist and someone named Courtney are running "Rogue" on the pharmacy and probably shouldn't be employed by Walgreens. The corporate recording says "come anytime during pharmacy business hours for a Flu Shot" I listen to this recording when trying to reach the pharmacy, leave my family during dinner, and arrive at Walgreens at 5:40pm. They don't close until 6. Mike the pharmacist says verbatim to be at 5:40pm: "I don't have time for this right now... I've got a lot to do and process before the end of the day". I tell him about the recording and why I am here, Reiterating the POV of Walgreens telling the customers to get a flu shot during business hours. Mike "well that wasn't a human and we don't have the resources for this". No sorry, no apologies, just pure pure personal, career rage... misdirected at the customer. I'm sorry that Walgreens is not giving you the resources to close up shop at 6 Mike- but you can't filibuster giving flu shots because you had a bad day. read more

Dang if I wasn't charged the full price of $8.99. I had to go back to the store and get my three bucks. Seriously, some consumer agency somewhere should investigate and fine the living crap out of Walgreen's. How often does this happen? How many people don't notice they've been ripped off or just don't have the time to go back to the store and get a refund? The price on the shelf should always be what rings up at the register. I don't know if this is true for all Walgreens, but this location is the worst for practically everything. The pharmacy is staffed with the rudest, most uninterested, unmotivated employees I have ever seen. They say the prescriptions are ready, get to the store and they claim they don't even have an order for it to be filled? Whatever. Call in to ask about a certain prescription and get treated like I'm an asshole for asking the original fill date? Whatever. Standing in line witnessing everyone ahead of me being treated like shit because the pharmacy techs hate their jobs? Whatever. Closing your pharmacy for "lunch breaks" every day? Like you don't know how to stagger lunch breaks? Whatever. Walking around the store looking for an associate to unlock a toothbrush? Does anyone actually WORK here? Ask why toothbrushes are locked up in the first place and getting a response of "Well people steal!".....whatever. It's a toothbrush. Nobody should lock up their toothbrushes because "people steal". People steal all kinds of shit, don't make everyone else wait for an employee to decide they want to be available to unlock a freaking toothbrush. Went here to pick up some sunscreen and lotion, since I had forgotten mine at home and it was along the way. After debating on what to get, I grab a travel size lotion and some sunscreen. I walk up to the counter to check out and the lady is nice enough. She goes to scan the travel sized lotion and is unable to get it to work. Then, she tries to read the tiny bar code numbers and is unable to read them. I try to help, but they just didn't seem to be in the system. She calls for her manager, who doesn't come over. The cashier has to walk over to grab the manager. As they walk over the manager accuses me of taking it from a set, that it's not sold by itself. Now this makes me kind of mad. I walk the cashier over and point to the box of travel size lotions that are single items...seriously, maybe management should think before they speak. I will do my best to not shop here after this. I was attending an Private Event, that I get invited to nearly Every Year, at the Kennedy School. It's within Walking Distance.... so when that Event was finished I walked over to this Walgreens store. I found the Renuzit Scents that I was looking for.... as well as some Tasty Snacks. They have these Strore Brand ( it's called " Nice! " ) Bagged Pistachios for 99 Cents!!! I'm drinking one of the Sugar Free Rockst*rs now,... it's Deeelicious, and they were on a " Two for ____ " price as well. I caught the 72 Bus on the Same Block as this Walgreens. The Fare Box and Hopcard Machine weren't working properly... so my Bus Ride was Free!!! I looooove that!!! The Checker at the Front Counter pushed the " IC3 " button,... to ask for Assistance as there were Four Other Customers in line besides myself. Two Other Associates came to the Front Counter, there are Three Registers there that were being Used... to Help him with the Line. I didn't have to wait very long. Oh yes! In the Set for the Sunglasses that Clip Over your own Glasses Section... there are these Yellow Glasses Covers... they are for Night Driving... so the Glare isn't so Bad from the Obnoxiously Bright Lights some Other Drivers INSIST on putting on their Vehicles.... so I purchased a pair for Us when we are Driving Our Prius at Night! read more

I called after the two hours were up, just to make sure its ready, and they say it is NOT. There is ALWAYS a damn problem with Walgreens. YOU GUYS ARE NOT FLIPPING BURGERS. The employees do not care in the least. I got in line after picking up the one item I needed and there were ten people ahead of me. The only cashier called for assistance ("I see three") twice and no-one responded. I asked her if the pharmacy could check me out and she just rolled her eyes at me! I had to ask twice more before she would finally respond with a reluctant "yes." I was in a big hurry so I ran back there. They also ignored me! It was five minutes (I timed it) before one of the pharmacy techs even looked at me and still three more before she helped me. The other two workers never notice me. She was not assisting other customers, just tapping away at the keyboard. I'm sure it was important but seriously? She could spare 30 seconds to ring up my baby formula. Maybe she assumed I was using WIC and wasn't worth her time? I was not. While I waited at the pharmacy I heard the front cashier call for assistance twice more. It took me ten minutes to do something that should have taken two. The entire time I was there I didn't see a manager, a photo tech, a cosmetics clerk, or a stock boy/girl. I used to work in a Walgreen that was much slower than this one and there were ALWAYS at least three, usually five people working the floor/stock room. I'm avoiding this place like the plague from now on. read more

I love being greeted when I walk in the door. I wouldn't exactly call the pharmacists friendly, but I don't go to the Walgreens pharmacy to have girly chit chat while I pick up my prescription. They took 3 rolls of my film and didnt call me of processd anything for more than 2 weeks! they said it would be done the same friday that I turned it in to. After double knee replacement surgery I came to Walgreens to fill my pain meds and they told me they could not tell me when I could pick it up or how long it would take to fill etc. I have had RA for 10 years and filled pain meds here before many a time but they had a recent change in policy... They told me that in addition to my paper prescription signed by the doctor they also had to contact my doctor and possibly wait for a call back. This was at the 24 hour store at 9pm so obviously my doctors office was closed, then I was told they didn't have the quantity in stock anyway... I came to another Walgreens next day and am having to wait until up to 9pm for my script, it's 3pm now. Those of you who have had double knee replacements know you cannot drive so I have to ask friends to take time out of their day to do this... I have found out this is a Walgreens policy only having nothing to do with state or federal policy... They just lost a customer in me! The attitude that accompanied this distressing news was appalling! Shame on you Walgreens Pharmacy! Kudos to the pharmacist, she has always been professional and states she will try to get it done quickly this time but all future scripts for pain meds will take longer to be filled. BEWARE!!! I experienced the absolutely WORST customer service at the Pharmacy counter here yesterday, that I've sworn never to go back. The staff are rude, ignore customers, are constantly on breaks, don't communicate with customers, and no one seems to care that they are doing a horrible job. I went to pick up a prescription for my mother-in-law yesterday, that she had dropped off much earlier - they had said to come back in 20 minutes to get it. I was back in about an hour, and after waiting another 20 minutes while being totally ignored by the staff in the back who were just sitting around, I was finally helped by a young woman who'd obviously just gotten off of another break. After typing things into her computer for about 5 minutes, she said the prescription wasn't ready, and she didn't know why, AND she didn't know when it would be ready. At this point I was late for dinner at my mother-in-laws' house, where she was in excruciating pain, awaiting her medicine. I cannot believe people can get away with this level of service, it is appalling. They take advantage of elderly and sick people who just want a neighborhood pharmacy that they can get to easily. From now on, I will drive my mother-in-law (and everyone else in my family) across town to a reputable pharmacy before dealing with this horrible place again. Shame on all of you - you should all be fired!!! read more
