They are very slow with prescriptions, even when they are monthly. Doctor is usually telling me the pharmacy should have the order ready within 1-2 hours and the pharmacy takes 1-3 days (DAYS, not hours). My name is Carol D., I'm 74 years old and this is the worst pharmacy I've ever been in associated with they have been my pharmacy for several years and they've also complicated many of my prescriptions are necessarily they have two profiles off of me which after repeated request to combine them into one they don't my prescriptions that are called in my by position or not added to the correct profile 90% of the time or they are out of a medication that I use on a regular monthly basis and has to be perfect purchase from another pharmacy I had an occasion to have a very expensive medication denied me because I had to split it up on two credit cards because I wasn't aware that I had a $600 deductible for my insurance company they wouldn't work with me wouldn't cash overall I would tell you if you want something done right you can I wouldn't trust this pharmacy you'd be better to to try another Walgreens or per for perhaps another pharmacy. This is the worst Walgreens Pharmacy I have ever been to. They have no concept of efficiency or common sense. They repeatedly send me texts, emails, and phone calls to let me know that prescriptions are ready for pick up, but when I get there they tell me that I can't pick up my medicine until a certain date. Yesterday, I spent over 20 minutes in line at the drive through, and I was the 2nd person in line. The staff did not have the common sense to tell the person that was first (doing a Covid test) to pull around while waiting for their results, and as a result, 4 people behind me gave up and left, and I was trapped with no way out. The employees are not very friendly, and their drive through speaker doesn't work so you can't hear what they are saying. This is the WORST Walgreens pharmacy I have ever been to. I always frequent this Walgreens on Highway 6 and Bellaire. First of all, it's open 24 hours which is so convenient. My 90 year old mother moved in with me & my family 5 months ago so I frequent this Walgreens even more. I have NEVER had an issue with anything from prescriptions or finding anything I have ever wanted or needed at this store. The staff is friendly. I also rack up a lot of reward points. I buy our snacks here when I don't want to deal with Walmart, I have processed WESTERN UNION in the photo department using the kiosk and my kids always find an inexpensive toy on the toy isle. I use this Walgreens regularly for photos. It's the closest one to my house and I just upload my photos to the Walgreens website and then go pick up the photos. It's so unfortunate that they do such an awful job. On numerous occasions I have gone here and they have just plain screwed up. Today was no different. Yesterday, I uploaded 70+ photos to be printed. I went to pick them up yesterday and as I glanced at them I noticed they were dirty. The photos had brown marks on them that were on several of the photos. This was after 5 minutes of the assistant manager looking but not finding the photos. He finally found them in the disorganization of the photo area. He agreed to reprint them and call me as soon as they were ready. I finally called at 3pm today and was told they hadn't started them yet. When I finally picked them up at 6pm tonight, they were reprinted and still had some marks on them. While I was in line waiting, the woman in front of me was discussing how her photos also had many marks on them. In the end, I took the photos and paid 1/2 price. In a previous experience, I had uploaded my photos, had them printed, and received an email saying they were ready. When I got there, they searched and searched and couldn't find them. This time I had over 200 photos printed. They couldn't find them. Finally, because I wouldn't give up, they started looking inside boxes (the larger photos containers) and finally found them. In the end we realized that the one box couldn't possibly be all of the photos and another box was eventually found. The levels of quality and disorganization of this photo center at this Walgreens convinced me to write a review tonight. Also, I don't plan on ever going back to this one. I waited for 15 minutes before I was at the window, once I drove up to the window the pharmacist said, "we are closed for lunch until 2". i then told her I was in line way before 1:30, which she replied, " I know, sorry, come back at two." BUT the pharmacy crew is different, they need to put more people at this dept. the wait here at the drive thru is the worst long wait you have even encounter. I like this Walgreens but gave it three stars due to customer service IN the PHARMACY Department. The employees in the store are great, but pharmacy area lacks proper etiquette. They messed up my order, gave me conflicting answers regarding insurance and doctors prescriptions. It also didn't help, that every time I come in, there's someone new in the pharmacy. Half the time they look lost. And don't get me started on wait times!!! In the end I switched pharmacies, and am much happier elsewhere. I was on hold for over 10 minutes and every time the phone would ring, they would just put it back on hold without saying anything to me. I used to go here for little things like cigarettes or milk but not anymore. The man that works the register there who's been there for a while has always been rude to me. not sure if he's racist or what but there was like five times when I went there that while in line I saw him being cheerful and friendly with other customers and when I got to the register it was like he just plain doesn't like me. I don't know why but he mumbles when I try to talk to him being friendly and is just plain rude. He just gives me this look like why are you here?? I came by to buy some compression socks and they had them on special "buy one get the second pair half off" well let me tell you, I couldn't get the offer because I don't have a Walgreens card. I went to go pick up an order, it was curbside but I went inside because I was looking for another item. I went to the location for pick ups, once I got there I had to wait a while for the customer in front of me to complete the transaction, following that customer I asked the manager about my order and proceeded to show him a screen shot of the email my sister sent me of her order. When I showed him he asked if I could scroll down to see the item, I told him unfortunately it was a screen shot and then proceed to tell him the items in the order. He then took phone calls, and then after told me that the person who placed the order was required to come pick it up, My sister listed me as a alternative pick up and I had to point out my name on the email. He also took a call mid transaction and then proceed to take the customer behind me without finishing my transaction or asking if it was okay with me. Because he took the customer behind me I had to wait even longer for her to finish her transaction for me to complete mine even though my items were already brought out by another employee. He wasn't kind, he wasn't friendly, and didn't apologize for his mistake or his hasty attitude to get me out before even handing a simple pick up order. Walgreens's like my 2nd home. If I don't drop in every day, I'm there like every other day. I think I might have a sickness...I find myself purposely "forget" to buy something so I can make another trip out there. Then I would spend another 30 mins looking around and finding all extra things (deals) to buy. I'm torn because I sit between 2 Walgreens. The lady by name Binal can give you the worst experience in a Walgreens. Called twice to see whether my prescription is ready to pick up, once she asked me to to hold and hung up. I called again and she hung up the phone after rumbling something. Went to the store. A nice guy there was helping me and then she came up and did something and told it's not ready for pick up, I May have to pay cash price if I want it now, which I am fine with. Then she left my pack there and and I kept waiting thinking she is preparing my cheque. The other guy who had been helping me also did not check thinking she is preparing mine, where as she was not. My husband and I went to the photo dept and 3.., I said THREE employees.. Wait should I call them employees!? They didn't even acknowledge us standing there, so my husband was funny and pressed the photo help button. There were photos from my Internet order that we did not want after seeing them printed out and they refused to take them off. I used to work at Walgreens in the photo department and I have never heard of not taking photos off an Internet order. Basically you are forcing someone to buy something that maybe they don't want anymore after seeing it or trying it. Isn't that like buying a product and returning it with the receipt? Whoever the man I spoke to said it was policy that they can't take photos off. So I was forced into buying that one set of photos, and I gave back the other two large orders because I didn't want to spend my money on them after the incident. I have been taking eye drops for last 3 years. The general rule with eye drops is that you should throw away your bottle after 4 weeks since it might get contaminated with the bacteria. This time I was told I can use the bottle for 60 days! Believe me how surprise I was. I got back home and checked patient leaflet and it clearly states throw away after 28 days. I went back to the pharmacy to sort it out. The staff was generally nice they explained to me that this was advice form my insurance company (trying to save money on me). They called them and investigated it. But if you are pharmacist you should know how long patient can take medicine and you shuould not give the wrong advice. I would not ask them for any advice and double check what you are told. read more
