Decided to check this place out now that I am a makeup junkie. I have purchased hauls from Sephora, Ulta, Macy's and Amazon in recent months so in searching places, I was delighted to know this was only 10 miles from home. Off I went yesterday! When I got there, I was greeted and offered help. The shopping space itself is not very large but is packed with merchandise. I liked the layout and how everything is labeled so if you are a beginner, you won't be overwhelmed or lost. The selection is solid - I wasn't super impressed but they do have some things I haven't seen elsewhere. Like Ben Nye powder in smaller shaker bottles and in a range of colors. I'm excited to try the 2 I bought knowing I didn't spend my whole check trying them out. I also got some facial mask brushes, facial cleansers, lip gloss and aloe vera gel. I'm happy with all my purchases/prices and if I didn't want to wait on shipping for an item, I would definitely return. I think it's a great starter place for someone who's just getting into makeup and doesn't want to break the bank at MAC or the like. It also has a great professional section with stuff I dare not even try! lol WINNER!!! read more

This store has really evolved since first opening. I've gone several times in the recent weeks and everyone is always so friendly and helpful. It wasn't like that at first. (I'll let it go lol) They carry a lot of the lower priced items as well as the more professional items. I love their bulk lashes. They have so many styles and they all look good. No doll lashes at all LOL. They will no longer be carrying Morphe products since Morphe is no longer wholesaling, but they are offering Crown Brush which is a comparable brand. The tester items are clearly marked with red tape and are clean. They also offer makeup wipes so you can clean off your tester hand. Go check this place out. I literally am willing to drive over an hour just to replenish my kit. The staff here are soo welcoming they always have an answer to every question I have. One of my absolute favorite product here is the BESO adhesive! I recommend any beginner to the beauty world to take classes here and just all the techniques they teach you here are fabulous! read more

I avoided coming to The MUA Project for 2 years because of the rude staff and lack of customer service. I caved and came back today for some concealer and setting spray because I ran out and didn't want to drive across town to get it. This place has changed a lot! They upgraded their floor plan, product selection, and staff. The new girls here are friendly, welcoming, and so helpful. They ran out of my usual setting spray, but one of the girls helped by recommending a new setting spray that I'm super excited to try! I will no longer be avoiding this place (lol). I would recommend this place to both makeup artists and makeup lovers. Large selection, organized displays, lots of testers, and knowledgeable staff. :) read more

So, as an avid ULTA fan, I did not think there was a store that could rival my attention. Sephora for sure is not my cup of tea, and drugstore selections are highly disappointing. An ad for the MUA store came up on my Facebook timeline, and baby, that dollar lash sale got my full attention. Lemme gone head and checky check them out. This was a year ago...over a YEAR AGO. And I've been back at least once a month since. I was so glad to find a place to get Morphe palettes without having to buy online. I got turned on to some other really great brands. I've never had the chance to take a makeup class, but damn I wanna hella bad. This place is like the playground for chicks like me who are learning and need some REAL instructions on what the hell they're doing, not some judgy ass struggling college student who got lucky on her cut crease that morning and now thinks she's Rhianna's personal MUA. I can honestly say I've learned more from the staff here than I did in all the time I worked at ULTA. My ONLY irritation is that they seem to go through talent quick Dollar Store underwear. And it's unfortunate, because each one brought something amazing to the location. Still gonna keep coming when I'm in town though to learn from these great folks. read more

This is an official makeup artist store and they also offer classes. You can find morphe makeup brushes and palettes here, as well as Violet Voss lashes , henna ink, and Ben Nye makeup products. You can get pro discounts if your an official makeup artist or in school as well as a freelance mua. I love this store and the makeup tips I get here. The staff is very helpful and super sweet. I've been looking for Ben Nye banana powder for like ages but I didn't want to but it online. I like online shopping but I'd rather be able to see what I buy upfront before purchasing. I know a costume store in Houston that sells it but it's literally 30 minutes away from where I stay. When I found out that there's a makeup store that has it that's 7 minutes away, I was there the very next day. If you're into YouTube makeup tutorials then all the products that you want and WISH you could get are all mostly here. There was only one person working when I came and one other customer. The other customer required more help than me but she still made sure to check on me from time to time. I got BN powder, LA girl concealer, and a beauty blender. 2/3 you can't just get in stores. Plus that yelp check in discount is clutch. I'd definitely recommend this place for makeup artists and lovers. Just don't buy up all the banana powders ;) read more

I'm not really sure what to say, but this place is awesome! They sell brands like RCMA, L.A. Girl, Ben Nye, Morphe Brushes, etc. (pretty much brands that you won't be able to find at Ulta or Sephora). Yes, you can buy those items online, but if you're like me who hates online shopping for makeup, then this place is good for you. They have testers for every item. They were out of stock of a lot of the Morphe Brushes and palettes but I don't blame them, people probably go crazy over it. I'll have to come back to get a hold of those one day.... My sister and visit frequently and usually the customer service is great. That wasnt the case yesterday Friday January 4, 2019 (446pm-503pm). No one welcomed us into the store and no one asked if we needed help. The staff needs to change their attitude. No one has to shop there. read more

I am in love with this store. They have everything I want and need for my makeup supplies. The staff was super helpful and friendly. The owner saw me trying to make a decision about which makeup bag or case to purchase and helped me find the perfect case to fit my needs. He was so nice and gave me so much information about his store and all that they offer. I look forward to going back often and attending their special events along with the classes they offer there. Makeup heaven!!! You can sample and play to your heart's content. In love. Selection of brushes is amazing and prices are cheap to boot. I really don't get those that expect to get waited on hand and foot here. It's a supply store. That's why you're paying those great prices. Nevertheless I was wowed by their level of service. If you are a beginning make up artist or someone who is just learning to apply make up this is the store for you. This store definitely has what you need to build your kits and store your make up. They sale a lot of popular lower end products. Although I was pleasantly surprised that they sale Graftobian and RMCA foundation. There are several eye shadow pallets to choose from and the make up brush selection (Morphe) is pretty awesome. You can expect to find lighting, chairs, as well as make up brush storage kits as well. There is a discount program for make up artist as well as regular paying customers. The best thing about this place is that they also offer make up classes. I will definitely be back-to use my 15% discount that was given after my purchase for my next visit. My plan is to use that discount to purchase lighting. I'm so excited!!! read more

First time I visited the shop after a friend recommended the place. The place was small but had great selection of makeup and alot of make up brushes. The blonde lady who works there was super helpful and friendly, and fast. She helped me find the right foundation shade and within minutes I got what I was looking for. I was looking for somewhere that sells the Ben Nye Luxury Powders so that I didn't have to purchase it online and I found this place. At first I was a little hesitant to visit but I ended up coming anyway. As a makeup lover, I FELL IN LOVE. This place is great; great staff, great selection, just great. They sell LA girl, Ben Nye, Morphe, NYX, etc., and I was just amazed by the selection. I love Dharm and his staff here at the MUA project! They know you by name and will do anything to help you, did I mention the pro discounts... I know I can find anything I need here, and if not they will find it and order it for me. The best place to go for all of the makeup brands you see online but don't want to buy bc you have no clue how they will look on your skin. I've been eyeing the la girl pro concealer but didn't want to waste money buying a bunch of colors or trying to hunt someone down on YouTube with the same skin shade as me. I walked in and was able to try a few shades and picked the pure beige shade as well as a few makeup brushes comparable to mac but at 1/4th the price. There's classes I've attended as well. The employees at this store need some classes on costumer service soon. I love make up and people that go to the store want to see people that also love make up to be working there. This looks like it isn't the case. I don't like giving bad reviews but i was so sad at the vibe of this store. I hope they change. Other than that the store is ok. read more

I will definitely be back! The staff was very helpful and friendly. Prices are not bad, and whatever an artist would need- they have. However, I noticed my brushes were damaged after I purchased them. The only reason I didn't return them was because I used them before noticing the chips on them. Next time I'm there I will inspect anything I buy and recommend others doing the same. read more

I love this store! Awesome staff! However most of the Morphe brushes are sold out! That just gives me more reason to go visit more often.
