Glad to find a local walk in Chiro who opens until 7PM. This is really accommodating for people who work until 6pm. My BF has a stiff neck and cannot sleep due to pain. The Doctor detected that problem just by feeling on his neck bones. He did some cracking and pulling, and used a machine that does something to the spine. The BF said he noticed less strain on his neck, but will have to wait it out to see if the pain will completely go away. Will have to come back 2 more sessions for treatment. read more

About two weeks ago I had just about the worst lower back pain. It hurt so much to move slightly, I could barely get out of bed. Dr. Townsend is a lifesaver! After reading these reviews on Yelp, I gave him a call. The experience very much reflected those described by other reviewers. Due to 2 traumatic injuries, I require weekly chiropractic adjustments. I had just arrived in town after driving for 5 days from Cleveland, Ohio. I hadn't thought to make arrangements for chiropractic care in advance and was experiencing so much discomfort, I could barely think straight and was walking with a slight limp. Miracle worker! After seeing another Chiropractor for almost a year with little progress, I was in desperate need for help when my back pain became so severe it was hard to sit or stand. My regular Chiropractor was unavailable so I searched online for someone who could see a new patient same-day. Was relieved to find Walk-In could see me and accepted my insurance. My first appointment was detailed and the doctor took his time accessing my back, neck and location of pain. He's approach was thoughtful and effective, after 2 visits my sciatica pain completely went away. This was the best I've felt in a long time. He's not a sales guy, he simply recommended 3 treatments within 10 days along with an at-home regimen of ice and compression. I chose to go to Dr. Townsend based on his excellent Yelp reviews. He is friendly, respectable, supportive and is willing to listen when you explain your condition and what you want to achieve. I'm entirely comfortable receiving treatments from Dr. Townsend. He is also mindful to the fact that it was my first time getting a chiropractic treatment, so he went gently. I came about 4 times and he always gave me discounts which I really appreciate. The first time I received treatment, I really felt a lot lighter walking home. And oh like mentioned by the other reviewers, he is, not only generous with his rates, but also with information, whether health related, or any other services around the neighborhood that he found to be good. This guy is amazing. I went in unwillingly for an adjustment after pulling a muscle in my back, getting a massage that only made things worse and finally giving in and paying for what I needed. My insurance doesn't cover this, but it was the best decision I made. Robert is super nice and makes you feel comfortable. Really knows what he's doing and did an amazing job at fixing my back in only about 15 minutes. The best part is that he's not one of those scammers who half- fixes the problem so you have to come back for follow ups on a minor issue, he is efficient and really takes good care of you. Dr. Townsend has healing hands; he always seems to find the spots that need taking care of. He is a gifted chiropractor, and I've seen many around town. His integrated approach is really unique, he offers more time with each patient than the typical shocking approach to "lay down and get cracked". He listens, he doesn't force technique and watches how you walk and move and measures improvement with each visit, keeping notes for insurance purposes. He's got a great network for people to recommend, he's very tied into the community. I'm working with SOL across the street for physical therapy as well as Dr. Townsend and the progress after 2 car accidents has been incredible. It's also nice to see him at Club One for a check in. He really does care, he is observant, respectful, realistic, and mindful. Dr. Townsend is caring, practiced, and responsive. He is CPR for the spine. I've always been hesitant to visit a chiropractor in the past, but ever since I let him adjust me at an East Bay Express event, I have been feeling so good! My back was giving me so much trouble that I had to go to the ER, but all they did was dope me up with pain killers. I was in horrible neck pain and needed relief ASAP!! I called, they said come in and within few minutes I was getting adjusted and feeling better. Robert was very professional and had a gentle, soft demeanor which lessened my fear of getting adjusted.The relief was almost instant although my range of motion was still very limited. I went in for a second adjustment and have recovered more range of motion, and the pain has continued to get better. I'm glad there is a walk in chiro!! I was in so much pain I couldn't sleep well or drive and within a few hours I was much better. I called a handful of others who were booked a week out and would not take a walk in despite the pain I was in. I appreciated the fast service and also that he didn't try to sell me on coming back for repeat visits.
