So I was at the walk-in, I've had my yearly cold and this year it makes have been complicated by passing a kidney stone. Wednesday I came home from work at 4 and was in bed sleeping off and on until 7:20am Thursday. I didn't have energy all Thursday and laid around watching tv. I went up to bed and slept on and off for another 14 hours. Today as I was getting ready to go home I felt extremely cold in my extremities. I mentioned this to my wife and she took my oxygen reading and heart rate, oxygen was 85 and heart rate was 102. So she sent me to the walk-in. She called them at 4:30 and they said that I should call when I got in the lot, I did, 10 minutes later. They put me on hold. Near 5:00 a lady came on and asked why I needed to be seen. I started to explain and was told that she only "needed the basics, this is way too much to information." She put me on hold again. About 15 minutes later someone comes on and asks why I need to be seen, so I start explaining, and she stopped me saying that's way too much information. She put me on hold for a few minutes and came back and told me due to the overload right now they won't be able to see me, but I can come back tomorrow. "Come Back Tomorrow". That was my "professional advice" from the Walk-in Clinic on US-31 in Traverse City. read more

Great service in getting testing for Covid-19. They had good protocols and took care of us quickly.

I waited in my car for many hours- being uncomfortably sick and having to sit in the car for that long is not cool. I'm extremely disappointed with the wait time and the lack of explanation. I will never return to this establishment again. read more

Didn't verify my insurance before charging me 400$ for an xray - not sure why 2 were done anyway

Two weeks ago my wife went to the Walk-In Clinic to find out why her urination caused a burning sensation. The nurse practitioner took swab and blood samples, diagnosed her issue as a bacterial infection, and gave her a script for Flagel. The charge was $120 plus lab costs. My wife followed the treatment and started feeling worse over the next three days, and finally decided to call back for additional advice. The Clinic asked her to come in asap for another consult, during which the nurse told her that the lab tests had come back showing they had misdiagnosed her, and switched her meds to treat e-coli instead. They seemed embarrassed about their error but had no problem charging her an extra $90 for coming in to correct her treatment when all they did was give her another script. This could have been done over the phone or directly with the pharmacy. When we protested the extra charge their response was, "there's always a charge for office visits." As a result we came away believing this was actually their method of up-charging whenever possible and consequently we won't be going there again - there are other urgent care facilities in the Traverse City area that earn their fees rather than just charging extra whenever possible. -Rick and Margi Hilleary Traverse City, Michigan read more

This is that place right next to Pizza Hut, across from Gap/Old Navy. Anyway, these people are awesome! I barely had enough time to fill out my paper work before they called me back. I was in and out within 45 minutes and felt fully taken care of. Sure, it felt like a walk-in but it wasn't ghetto or anything. The waiting room is fairly big so you're not all crammed together and the nurses are very nice and patient. Plus, they took my insurance. Save yourself the trouble of the Munson Walk-in (I don't mind any of their other facilities, but their urgent care just plain sucks) and go to The Walk In instead. read more

My 6 year old had excruciating ear pain and our peds office wouldn't take her so we went here. The waiting room is huge, so you can space yourself from people that are looking even sicker than you. We were seen really quickly by Dr. Jan Vlach. He was amazing with my daughter. The staff was super friendly. They made sure to send me off with written scripts just in case since they were closing soon. I wouldn't hesitate to stop by here again whenever I needed it. read more

After stepping on a branch in our yard and puncturing my foot last week, I paid a visit to this walk-in clinic. The entire staff, and especially "Dr. Tom," could not have been nicer. They examined my wound, gave me a Tetanus shot and an antibiotic for obvious infection, and I was out of there in under an hour. Everyone was friendly and polite and went out of their way to be pleasant. I wouldn't hesitate to go back, if needed. read more

Disappointing service from the billing department after disappointing service from the practitioner. Make sure you understand their pricing. There is a difference between the insurance price and cash price. This practice was out of my network and I informed them of that when I entered. Was still required to submit my insurance card. When the insurance didn't meet the deductible, I was required to pay the insurance price out of pocket -- even though I would have saved significantly if I had paid cash upfront. Nice practice. Seems like a violation of the Hippocrates Oath -- do harm if it benefits you financially is ok, I guess. read more

What a great walk in clinic. Great customer service - the front desk was kind and efficient. I only waited a few minutes after completing paperwork before I was brought through to check my vitals and show to me an exam room. I wish I could remember the name of the PA who saw me - she was very compassionate and she was quick to check me, test, and diagnose me. I was in and out in 45 minutes! Much faster than my local urgent care! As an out of towner I must say thanks for the great service to tend to my health. read more

I was on vacation from Georgia with relatives from Michigan, and started having some sinus issues on the drive up to Michigan on Friday the 29th. When I woke up on Sunday the 1st in Traverse City, I felt awful and had a full blown upper respiratory infection(I get them occasionally in the winter). I looked on-line and found several Urgent Care facilities, but this one had good reviews. I went shortly after they opened at noon, and had to wait a few minutes in line to check in, but the front desk ladies were awesome, friendly, and efficient. I filled out my paperwork and within 10-15 minutes was taken back for an exam. Dr. Springsteen and his PA, Kristen Crosby were great, listened to my medical history and diagnosed it just liked my doctor back home, and prescribed the meds I was used to taking. After a brief wait for my meds to be ordered at the drug store, I was able to check out with the ladies up front and was back on my way after about an hour's time. Thanks for the great friendly care from the Walk In Clinic! I give them 5 stars and 5 thumbs up!!! read more

I cut my hand camping the 1st day we arrived at Buckley K O A campground. We were directed there by the owner's of the camp. They were very busy but within minutes i was in a exam room.
