And is so terrible I ask to not cut my sides since I'm trying to let it grow even and just trim the top with scissors. I don't know what she was thinking but possibly got distracted and cut my back side by mistake. I was like mistake happened so I guess now give me a number 1 high fade and trim the top a little. TL;DR decent and cheap, doesnt listen to actual requests and just gives the generic cuts even after showing them a picture of what you would like Im done going here. I have been going here for many years, well before Tom retired. Ever since then, it has gone downhill. Yes they are quick, and cheap. But thats what the haircuts are, quick and cheap. I have taken my son here, showed them a picture, when they were done it looked nothing like it, not even close. For some reason with my hair, sometime last year, they started doing a random comb over and cutting it down.. I have never asked for a comb over once. I decided to let my hair grow out so i have had more time between haircuts. Since i wear a hat to work i just want the sides trimmed down to look okay while the top grows. Last couple of time i told them to do just the sides and dont touch the top. Sometimes they would leave the top alone, sometimes they would do the comb over and cut it down. So i had them cut it down to where it was even on the top and went about 5 months before getting it cut again. My last visit decided it for me. I had my hair in a spot where nothing was going over on the sides, i told the new barber (i have never seen her cutting here before), just cut down the sides and i specifically said "do not touch the top". She even asked again about the top and i said it again, "do not touch the top". She starts cutting as normal, finishes up the back, grabs the spray bottle and starts to comb over the sides and gets 1 good cut in before i moved my head and said no. She starts saying something like "i make it look good for you" and i said "i specifically said do not touch the top and what did you do. you combed it over and cut it down" and she looked at me like i was in the wrong. Now that my hair is grown out, it used to be evenly longer and now i have one spot on one side that is over an inch shorter than the rest because of what she did. If you do decide to go here, wait for one of the guys (middle left chair and front right chair). read more

I have been going to walker barbers for a few years. Back when Tom and Amy worked there, I never had a problem or received a bad haircut. I have been to walker barbers three time in the last 4 month of 2021. Each time with a different barber, and each haircut was worse than the time before. I don't know if there is a language barrier but they don't seem to be able to comprehend how I want my hair cut. Lisa and Kevin were the last two to butcher my hair. They need to churn out at least three haircuts an hour to even keep the lights on. You are here because you are an old guy with thinning hair, a middle aged guy who works from home or a dude who has to pay for himself and two kids' haircut. They churn through five haircuts in one hour so what can you expect? For the price, this place is awesome. Been going since Tom owned the barbershop and never had issue. This year had scalp infection from having dirty razers shaving down hairs according to the doctor at Kaiser. I told the staff that had to goto Kaiser after scalp infection that they need to clean the razors each customer, they just blow it with air. No concern wont bring my family back again. read more

I am a momma of three young boys, and they love coming here to get their hair cut! We've been happy every single time! Most recently, my older two boys have had their hair done by Kevin. He's so great at making sure they get the cut that THEY want, and is so sweet to them as well. Definitely has made us feel very welcome! Terrible. My husband went in for a haircut, just a clean up for his sideburns and a trim off the top. The woman "accidentally" shaved the back of his head, leaving him with a bald spot. Obviously she had to buzz the rest of the back and sides to even it out but it was not what he wanted at all. THEN, she made the sides uneven. All she left him with is hair on the top. There shouldn't be a star for this barber shop! It was so heartbreaking to witness how mean the barber in this Walker barber shop. He screamed and humiliated and almost physically assaulted his customer with a son under the spectrum. The kid just refused to take off his mask. Even the kid respectfully said that he will use his hands to hold the mask while he's getting a haircut but the barber started screaming that " I don't care whatever your kid has!!!" I don't want mask and he also started derogatory remarks. He was pointing his finger in the customer and basically kicked them out. He was so discriminating. It is sad that there are still people that are vicious and heartless. There should be awareness and understanding to families with children under the spectrum. Called in to make sure Tom was there, he said 10 minutes, showed up while he was finishing a cut and stepped right up..He gave me pretty much the haircut I asked for. He's a cool guy, minimal English, but get the job done and usually takes 10-15 minutes. Don't go here if you looking for a sick fade, used to getting lined up and having the barber spend an hour with you and pay $18-$25. He'll admit scissor cutting is much easier than a fade..Feel me. It's just a simple $9 cut to take your kids or not looking to spend too much, but want a decent cut....Can't go in expecting a $25 cut for $9 and then be unsatisfied. CASH is KING and they only take cash so be prepared for that. read more

Somewhat unreliable. I've been here a total of 4 times now, and 2 of them have been BAD. In the most recent haircut, I specified that I wanted a low regulation (fade) cut, but Tom went ahead and buzzed the sides all the way to the top of my head! It looks worse than the high-and-tight haircut I left Marine Corps boot camp with. So now I essentially have a high-and-tight, except the length on the top of my hair is ~4 inches. Ugh, guess I'm gonna look like a fool for a few weeks. Unfortunately I'm blind without my glasses, I would've stopped him in an instant if I could see what he was doing. On top of all that, the customer next to me wasn't too pleased about his haircut. He was talking to Amy how he wanted "X and Y" done, but she wasn't apologetic whatsoever, and kept saying "No, it looks better this way." I was kind of in disbelief. Anyways, I tried making them my go-to because of their cheap prices, but there are other places in the same price range that just do a much better job. DON'T DISAGREE WITH YOUR CUSTOMERS, ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY HAVE THEIR OWN STYLES. ** After reading some other reviews, it seems this is a recurring issue. This place is horrible. My 15 year son came in for a haircut and the lady completely messed his entire hair up. The Asian lady has no clue on what she is doing! I don't understand why she works or runs a barber shop when it's obvious she has no experience in it!! I'm furious! I don't typically leave reviews but this is horrible!! Came here twice so far. Its not too far from where I live and as of now will probably come here to get my haircut and beard cleaned up. Both times I've came there was no wait probably because I came during hours where everyone is at work during the weekday. So that was a plus not having to wait. Haven't caught his name but both times was serviced by the same guy. He's nice and the place is clean and the price is way more reasonable than your more commercial haircut places. I'm not high maintenance and usually just want something simple and to look more cleaned up. So far can't complain and will still come back. Probably if I actually wanted something a little more stylish I will probably go to a different barber shop, but to just get cleaned up this will be my go to place. read more

If I could, I would give this a half star... I came to this barber shop couple weeks ago to get a clean trim and a nice fade. And an old gentleman with a white coat did a nice job cutting my hair. But today, I walked in this morning feeling optimistic about this place, for I had a good first impression... But as I walked in, I made eye contact with the barber who was supposedly Tom. As I sat down, he was friendly and asked what I wanted. Now this is the part where everything went downhill. I asked kind Tom if I can get a 1 fade (keeping it tight) and to cut off two to three inches of hair on top. And he took a few moments to take a look and examined my full bed of hair, and recommended that I did not look good with what I wanted... For myself! So I tried simplifying everything by asking him to just give me a "spikey" look. And he then proceeded to his chart of hairstyles and recommended that I get a 2 inch all-around buzz cut. I assumed for the back he would cut just like the picture, so I said, "ok..." Then he walked gently back towards my chair, and turned on those clippers, and buzzed straight down my head like he was mowing a beautiful lawn filled with beautiful grass. And in my mind, I said, "oh no..." It was too late... So I couldn't stop the madness, and he finished his duty and then had the audacity to recommend that I should trim my eye brows because they are way too thick... What?! So I immediately said, "no thanks!" Then as he finished, I opened my eyes to see the horror story come to an end... And Tom told me, "it looks good huh?" So I shivered and muttered, "yes..." (I'm too nice). With a finishing touch, he also told me, "you can still spike your hair... Come back in three weeks and I'll clean you up..." I looked at my hair, and it was at a 2 buzz... It's already spiked up! Overall, I wasn't that disappointed at my cut, because I went on home and cleaned it up myself. But I couldn't help but laugh like crazy, at the fact that he did not listen to what cut I wanted. I told myself, I would come back... But nope. I'd recommend a great place, Hermano's Barbershop. Run away from this place as fast as you can... Hermano's is only a couple blocks away. Worth spending a little more to receive a quality cut. read more
