Separately, I used them for plumbing, specifically replacing a sink faucet, repairing a garbage disposal, and repairing a leaky shower fixture. I was very pleased with this service as well. Especially the garbage disposal because all it needed was a minor turn of a crank to loosen it up instead of a full replacement, which saved me a significant amount of money. Thea, the owner / service manager, came out to inspect our AC system and immediately noticed something dangerous: the previous installer had set up the outdoor disconnect without a fuse, which is a major safety issue. Because of that, the wiring had burned and nearly made its way into the house. T patiently explained everything to me--what went wrong, why it was dangerous, and what the proper setup should be. He recommended replacing the disconnect with a fused version, and clearly laid out the potential risks and what to expect. When we turned the system back on, we were holding our breath... and to our relief, the 10-year-old compressor kicked on just fine. T could have easily told me I needed a whole new unit, but instead, he was honest, transparent, and incredibly knowledgeable. I even looked up everything he explained afterward--and it all checked out. By the way, the communication was excellent--I reached out through Yelp and was kept in the loop with email reminders and messaging right through the app. Everything felt smooth and professional from start to finish. In the attached photos, you can see the burnt wiring and connector from before, and the new fused disconnect they installed. The difference is night and day. It gives me no pleasure to write this review. I met German through initial jobs to clean my HVAC…read moresystems and he did a great job. He was very detail oriented and strived for excellence. I was so impressed that I tipped him and his son. This summer I hired him to take care of odds and ends with my HVAC that others refuse to do (e.g., finish installing fresh air ventilation system, reduce noise from bath fans, etc.). We agreed on $2800 for the job. German and his team got 80% of the job done in 1 day. I was not there when the job was finished and anyways there were a lot of details, so I took the next few days to make a punch list. It was 8 items long, mostly really small things (e.g., adding mesh screen to fresh air intake so birds don't get in). Some of them were just questions that could be clarified with discussion. I decided to pay the balance on the job even without going over the punch list with German because I was so impressed with him and I thought I have no reason not to trust him. And then for some unknown reason, things went south. I tried many many times to call and text German to find a time to go over the list and most of the time I got no response. A couple times he said he'd call me at a certain hour so I cleared my calendar to make sure I was available at those times and still he didn't call. No apologies, nothing. I really couldn't believe it since I thought so highly of German. A couple months after the job, I decided to start working on the punch list myself, either performing the work on my own, hiring my carpenter to do it, or deciding to accept existing performance. I got the list down to 1 item. I called and texted German a few times to try to engage him on this 1 item that really requires an HVAC professional and to try to end things on a positive note. Still nothing. So now I've decided to end the relationship and leave reviews. I'm sorry to have to do this because I think German does great work but the post-job experience has just been terrible. At times I have felt like I'm begging for him to engage with me and yet I'm the customer!
