I ended up taking it to LP vs my regular mechanics because they were near where the vehicle was, and on the recommendation of one of the trans shops I had talked to. Fun Fact: If you're replacing vs fixing, which seems to be most of what goes on nowadays, there's no reason to use a transmission specialty shop. Their rates are always higher than regular mechanics, and most regular shops can swap them fine... They just don't like actually tearing them apart and fixing them. So save yourself some money and just use your regular guy, or a shop like LP I ended up finding my own used transmission because getting a remanufactured one just didn't make sense money wise with the mileage on my rig. They were patient while I secured that and weren't trying to rush me. The guys there were cool and easy to deal with. They did the swap just fine and got my vehicle going again! They also took care of some other odds and ends I already knew about, and found out one issue I thought was one thing was actually 2 worn parts contributing to the same issue. Shop rates are reasonable compared to other places, and they did good work. I don't live near them, but would definitely take a rig back there if I ever needed to.

I drove it 4 times and the drive shaft shredded again. Dan's explanation was that I ordered the part wholesale rather than spending the 700 he quoted me. I returned that driveshaft and bought a second, more expensive model from a wholly different place only to have this one shred again within half a mile of the shop. Again his explanation was cheap parts. I've now purchased this very basic American part twice from 2 separate manufacturers at my own cost and time. It's now almost September and I still don't have my truck. These men are not mechanics. They are con artists.

My very first experience with this shop was on an old Ford Explorer because the A/C wasn't blowing cold. He found the problem, the A/C clutch wouldn't engage. Instead of selling me a new A/C pump as most other garages would do he found out it just needed a shim to work properly and fixed it for a very minimal charge. Now that's an honest guy, he didn't know me from Adam and could have taken advantage of me. This company shows impeccable skill and more so impeccable integrity. Integrity, doing the right thing even when on one is looking. There is no better choice !

We were traveling to Montana from the Seattle area and our vehicle had an issue. It was Friday…read moreafternoon almost closing when our tow driver dropped us off at the service department. The vehicle had just stopped running when we had pulled off of the freeway to refuel. Scott and his team helped us to find another vehicle that would work to carry my trike and a bike that we had been carrying on the trailer hitch rack. They didn't have a vehicle that was able to carry this. The courtesy driver helped us to get a U-Haul van that fit everything with room to spare. The service team got the vehicle in and made the diagnosis within about five minutes. They let us know what it was gonna take to make the repairs and when it was going to be complete. Everyone here cares very deeply and does a great job. I asked if there was any possibility that they had another vehicle similar in stock. The sales team checked right away for me and they did not have a similar vehicle with low mileage. The entire staff was amazing. When I came back to try to pick up the vehicle when it was complete I had to drop the van back at U-haul. The courtesy driver was on another pick up and the Out of the box thinking of Scott found me another driver to help me get back to the service department so I could get my vehicle. I recommend you use them if you want a Mercedes or Porsche or have the need for service on your vehicle.
