    Pony Gram fun
    Bree B.

I was captivated when I saw a Groupon for a Walking Farms Pony Gram. Actually, you had a choice between the Pony Gram and Donkey Gram (the latter being perhaps the most genius way to break up with a person...kind of like a text message on crack.) The premise is exactly as it sounds: A pony (or donkey) is delivered (with a handler) at your choice of location. They come decorated as appropriate, and deliver a message. This is ideal for any child because who would not be thrilled to see a beautifully decorated PONY show up at their doorstep? And yes, a pony ride is included. But, if you think outside the box, this is also ideal for anyone who is hard to shop for, because like I said, who would not be thrilled to see a pony at their door, with streamers carefully braided in their mane and adorned with a birthday hat? I immediately knew that this was the perfect gift for my mother's 60th birthday. She is incredibly hard to shop for but enjoys public displays of craziness that would embarrass anyone else, including myself. However, I sucked it up for her big day and had the pony delivered to her favorite restaurant as we sat outside on the patio. The surprise was slightly foiled when she saw the huge horse carrier drive past in the parking lot...but that was no fault of the farm, I should have had my mother facing the opposite way! She loved the spectacle and I loved the super friendly and gorgeous horse. The handler was equally friendly, very punctual, and let multiple people ride the pony. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a unique and rememberable birthday gift -- or an odd yet thoughtful way to end a coupling.

Found Walking M Farms through Facebook and sought them out as a back up to the original mobile petting zoo we had hired for our daughter's birthday party. When the original zoo was non-responsive as our date drew nearer, I reached out to Walking M Farms to firm up the date. Though a bit more expensive, they were extremely professional and provided great communication up to and throughout the event date. We cancelled our original zoo and hired WMF. Everyone, including the adults, had a great time. We had a pair of ducks, pair of chickens, pigs, sheep, goats, and a silk chicken at our farm, and they were delightful. Thanks, Walking M Farms!

Leading up to the party, Christy was incredibly responsive and patient, answering all of my questions via email and even giving us a tour of the venue ahead of time. The space was absolutely perfect for our princess unicorn theme. During the party, Rebecca and DJ were so kind, patient, and attentive with all 15 kids, allowing them to ride the ponies multiple times, helping with photos while riding, and bringing out the hare and baby goat for petting--which the kids absolutely loved. All of the animals, including the miniature horses, donkey, sheep, alpaca, chickens, geese, and ducks, were very friendly and tolerant with the children. It was obvious how well cared for and loved the animals are. DJ even went above and beyond by helping my husband lift a heavy cooler full of drinks during setup, which was greatly appreciated. The party setup looked beautiful, and everyone--kids and parents alike--had an amazing time. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend Charming Pony Parties to anyone looking for a truly special and memorable celebration!

We had my daughter's birthday party here today and we're pretty disappointed. We just did the…read moreunicorn encounter because we were doing a small group with just a few kiddos. The whole reason we did this for her birthday is because my daughter is a strong believer in unicorns and absolutely loves them. Upon arriving the kids immediately noticed the "unicorn" and his horn was lopsided, falling off of his head. My daughter went up to the employee and told her that the horn was falling off. Later she told me that it broke her heart it wasn't a real unicorn. If you have a group coming specifically for a unicorn encounter that unicorn should be ready and looking magical as can be for their arrival. Additionally, the second reason we chose this experience was because the website said you would get to hold bunnies. My daughter loves bunnies and told me all leading up to the party that she couldn't wait to hold a bunny. The employee did NOT let the girls hold bunnies at all, she only let them pet the bunny. It also said they would feed alpacas, sheep, and goats. They didn't have the girls feed any animals at all. In fact no one was guiding through the process at all aside from a lady taking the girls in a circle twice on the pony. Then she disappeared for a long time until she finally came back out and brought out one bunny for them to pet. The AC was not turned on in the castle until we were about to leave and it was 2:30 in the afternoon so almost 100 degrees outside. Overall very disappointed and would not recommend going here. We paid $125 for the kids to basically run around a farm for an hour in 100 degrees. The reviews had been so great saying they make it a magical experience and sadly the magic was exactly what we were missing today.

I was going to wait for my photos back from my wedding to write this review, but I can't take it…read moreanymore! I got married at Modern Farm in March, and it was an incredible experience. If you're considering getting married here, do it! You will not regret it. First, the venue is just beautiful. There's a big white barn with concrete floors (and air conditioning!), which is where we had our ceremony. Plenty of bathrooms, gorgeous bride and grooms quarters. The lawn is huge and green and lovely, and lined with mature trees. It was 90 degrees on my wedding day but it was perfectly comfortable on the property thanks to all the shade from the trees. Parking is limited on site, but there are side streets to park down. The DoubleTree nearby provides a free shuttle. We had 100 or so guests and didn't have any problems. We encouraged carpooling, provided parking maps with Sean's help, and told guests not to block driveways or park too close to stop signs. It's in a residential area, so be mindful of the neighbors. Ok, second, Sean was an incredible host. Having our wedding there felt like having it at a friend's house. Sean was so easy-going and opened the property to us so many times to let us scheme and meet with vendors (many of whom were recommendations from Sean and were outstanding!) On the morning of our wedding, we had a couple acrylic signs that we had made that weren't working with the easels that we brought. Sean said no problem, grabbed some wood, cut it, routed out the middle, and MADE US STANDS for the signs that were absolutely perfect. Can you believe? He's such a good guy, and it's things like that that really make you feel like you're in the right place. Thanks again, Sean and family!

So let me start out by saying it is a very nice space. But there was a HUGE lack of…read moreprofessionalism. We decided against using this venue even though it would of been nice for our wedding. So I emailed them from the "contact us" section on their website asking to view the property then received a response the next day and after a few emails back and forth we scheduled an appointment even though brief. I was told to text them a reminder. So after texting them a reminder on the day of, no response, then later I sent another text while on the way. They called me and told me they have no memory of scheduling my appointment but that they were up the street and would come meet me there. Then told me to just look around myself and call if I have questions. So my fiancé and I were just walking around the venue alone not knowing what's what. We felt like our wedding or business wasn't even important. We get they're probably busy and deal with a ton of people but just a big lack of respect. A wedding is a special time to a couple they want to feel like it's special and not a burden.
