I love the team at Walking Paws. I've seen a significant improvement in my dog's arthritis and I truly believe they focus on giving your pet the best care. Interestingly enough, my other dog (incredibly timid) benefits from the visits as well. He usually accompanies his sister during her treatments and at first, he was super shy, cowered whenever someone merely looked in his direction let alone tried to pet him... the whole shebang. But now he's much braver and even goes up to the doctors to greet them; something he would've never done prior to sitting in on sessions. It's so cool that everyone greets Domino and Pepper and remembers us by name. We pay out of pocket instead of going through pet insurance, and each visit's cost is very reasonable. It's a flat rate that covers all of the treatments for the day, whether it's time on the water treadmill, floor exercises, acupuncture, laser therapy, ultrasound, etc. Even better, our pup gets to enjoy all the goodies that help her focus during her rehab session. Overall, I can't recommend Walking Paws enough. It's truly changed my dog for the better and I look forward to working with them as we continue to manage my dog's arthritis. read more

I am extremely disappointed by the response from the owner as it is not even factually accurate. We weren't 30 minutes into the appointment, but at the very beginning. My dog didn't even get any treatment at all that day. And their therapist did insinuate it could be a neural sheath tumor. I'm not sure how the owner could dispute that when she wasn't even in the room to hear the conversation. Finally, our vet did not recommend the bump get biopsied at all. Given it's location, size and moveability, she recommended just monitoring it monthly. Also neither the therapist or vet indicated it wasn't anything serious or suggested it would be good to continue with the appointment. And they never made it clear before I left, that I would be charged the full $200 even though my dog received no treatment at all that day. The fact of the matter is rather than showing some compassion and good customer service, they chose to scare me, then take my money. read more

Danyel is the best. When our dog, Chai, was diagnosed with a partial CCL tear our usual vet suggested some anti-inflammatories and rest...surgery if that didn't work. Just want to say what a wonderful experience my dog Skylar and I had going to Walking Paws Rehab in Boulder. Skylar had decided just for kicks to go chase a rabbit and ended up tearing ligaments. She went into surgery and then Walking Paws was highly recommended by our vet. I am so thankful that I found Dr. Wynn, my vet diagnosed my Cavalier with luxating patella's and prescribed pain meds and that was the end of the story. So I went on line to research the pain meds and found that there were other alternatives and then I found Walking Paws. My first visit with Danyel was a 2 hr evaluation and then recommendations for rehabilitation for my best friend Blaze, I decided that I wanted to make the commitment to work with her to improve Blaze's quality of life and future. We have been seeing Danyel for 12 weeks and much progress has been made. I love that I am learning so much about Blaze's condition and how to work with him at home. These guys seem to care a lot more about making money than helping animals. My vet had cautioned me about this place saying they had had other patients who had also had poor experiences there and/or poor results, but Aspen Meadows' rehab was temporarily unstaffed and I thought I'd give them a shot anyway. Big mistake. On my appointment day, I found out that my car was going to still be in the shop that afternoon, so I called first thing that morning to reschedule my afternoon initial appointment. The receptionist was super un-professional, lecturing me about how if my car wasn't going to be finished by today, I should have known and called them sooner...as though I have any control over when my dealership is going to finish working on my vehicle...and letting me know in no uncertain terms that they were not interested in working with me to reschedule at a time that worked better or helping me get my dog in for therapy. Citing unalterable policy documentation that I'd never seen or signed, the only options I was given for this 3 hour appointment was literally to either come in at 8am the next day (during my work hours) or to charge me hundreds of dollars to reschedule for another time. I said that was a financial hardship I wasn't prepared for (esp. considering I don't even know what my dealer is going to charge me for my car yet!) and asked if it wasn't more important to get a dog that needs it in for therapy rather than collect a meaningless inconvenience fee and she absolutely maintained that policies were set and non-negotiable! To be honest, I was kind of shocked at her lack of empathy and response that maintained that the fee was the most important consideration, considering it was coming from a veterinary clinic. It really opened my eyes as to what kind of place this actually is. My dog's had two hip replacements and NEEDS physical therapy, but after my experience with this company, I wouldn't let these guys take my dog for a walk. It's clear they don't actually care about helping him and that it's far more important to them to make money charging fees and getting you locked into endless therapy than to make sure animals in pain get help. Super unprofessional staff and extremely inflexible policies that seem designed more to stuff their wallet than to help animals. I'd steer clear of this place if I were you. When Aspen Meadows re-opens their veterinary therapy center, I'll be heading back there. The staff there has always been courteous and kind and obviously centered around the well-being of my pet. read more

"Dr." Erica Kirsch is someone to avoid. I had the misfortune of scheduling an appointment for my 3 year old dog to create a treatment plan for IVDD. He was doing laser and swim elsewhere, so likely because there wasn't much Walking Paws could do, she fabricated other issues. She tried to say he had a torn ACL (CCL in dogs), several atrophied left glute, hip dysplasia and more. I returned to his regular vet who had examined him under sedation and took X-rays assured me Erica was wrong, that none of these problems were real. He re-examined my dog again to provide additional assurance and even used a stance analyzer to show how he wasn't favoring one leg or carrying extra weight in the front due to any hip issues. Walking Paws caused a lot of anxiety and wouldn't refund my $390 after I tried to discuss Erica's unprofessionalism with the owner of the company. Bad news on every level. Go somewhere else. There are a lot of great rehab places in our area. read more

They are very careful about maneuvering the dogs around (our dog does not play well with others). A very positive experience and we highly recommend their services! read more

Walking paws rehab has a doctor who could only be referred to as a animal angel.Here is why we say that.Three years ago we found Dr. Daniel Wynn.; our standard poodle puppy broke her leg falling off our bed.We had the leg set but our vet kept her in a straight cast for seven weeks. When the cast was taken off the leg was dead. He said the only recourse was amputation to cover up his mistake. We said no way;so we set out to find anyone who could save her leg. Every vet we saw recommended amputation. Then we met Dr. Wynn and she said she could save the leg. She told us straight out it would be a lot of rehab. we said do it. so we took ruby 3 times a week for 6 months to her and she did it !!! Ruby was fitted for a brace from Orthopets that she hardly wears at all now. When you think there is no hope left please see Dr. Wynn she and her staff will find away if there is away.
