They have the most impressive variety of loose leaf teas that I've come across - ever. Outside of Dublin included. Reasonable prices for take-home bags. Came back with the Groupon for sushi, tea and a desert. The sushi was really good but they did not give soy sauce, ginger or anything else with it, so we had to ask for the soy sauce which was jamed. Tasted great though. The tea that I got I did not like, but I can't hold that against them (although it might have been the wrong tea). I'm afraid this doesn't deserve a star. We were in there early evening with Groupon voucher. The minute this "bespeckled bearded wanna-be-bohemian" guy at the till saw us and the Groupon voucher, his attitude was dismissive, "couldn't-care-less" saying that the voucher wasn't valid all because we didn't book a place. When we mentioned the fact that we tried calling and calling, his excuse was that the cafe was busy. They could have ask the callers to wait, so that staff could deal with customers on the phone, when they weren't too busy... Wall & Keogh advertised the Groupon Voucher deal, which if you pay for, but it must be used within the expiry date. Even though we paid in full and today is the last day, we couldn't avail of the deal, all because they wouldn't answer our calls...hence the empty tables......I'm sure we were not the only ones.. This was just a publicity stunt for Wall & Keogh Before that I was planning to call in to try out the tea, but the attitude we got in Wall & Keogh this evening was just not on, and I certainly won't going there again...just glad I didn't part with my money...Really disappointing read more

I love it here. Its cozy, it has a wonderful selection of teas, its a wonderful place to spend an afternoon nattering with a friend. The only cons: the sushi, while nice, isn't as good as most of the dedicated sushi places. The baked goods also aren't quite up to scratch compared to others on offer in the city. What a lovely way to spend a slightly hungover Saturday morning (ok, afternoon). This is a small café with a very pretty outside courtyard area, which is mostly covered, and very enjoyable in warm weather. You could forget you're in Dublin seated here. In the courtyard, they have single beds converted into sofas, covered in a variety of arty and kitsch cushions, and a long sturdy wooden table. Greenery and flowers surround the area. Inside, the seating is more functional and cramped, and I think you can only sit two at a table, but it's still very attractive. This place is mostly known for its teas- there are dozens and dozens of teas on display in glass jars. Some look like pot pourri, some like breakfast cereal, and some just like, um, tea... and all promise to do various nice things to your health. Sadly, I haven't yet investigated that. We had dirty americanos instead, which came with milk in some class of gorgeous Kilkenny designer jug. (I badly wanted to nick that jug. I didn't. They are very trusting!). We also ordered toasted sandwiches, although sushi was another option. The sandwiches were superb, however they took ages to arrive, as did the coffee. This is not somewhere to be if you're in a hurry! We weren't, thankfully, and had time to enjoy a piece of cake for dessert- the lemon cake was especially refreshing and zesty. My favourite thing about this place is that they have several flavours of Mate, Argentina's national infusion, served authentically with a metal straw/spoon. First thing that got my attention was the incredible smell in this place, the mix of all the different tea leaves and coffee beans creates a little heaven! I was immediately drawn to buying something for myself. I resisted, but only because I'm not going home for a while after today and there's no point carting coffee beans around. I ordered my first green tea latte here, figuring that if there was anywhere to try weird tea stuff, it would be here. It was disgusting to be honest but that's no comment on W & K. Just not for me. Does it taste like fish to anyone else? I also ordered a chicken sandwich which was pre-made which had me wary but I need not have worried, it was delicious! Really crispy bread and hot through! The service is great, I had to run to the atm for cash but the girl had my order ready by the time I got back and she even gave me double loyalty stamps for my troubles! The space is nice, a bit hipster; the counters are old shipping boxes, and the walls are decked out, with mounted skulls alongside a portrait of Twiggy. Ok so. One thing I defenetly recommend in this cafe, is their coffee and personally I love their macchiato. I also tried their mozzarella and pisto sandwich and a vegetarian sushi, which I would suggest too. But my favorite was their yogurt with granola, berries and honey. Another thing, if you are a tea lover then you would love the place for their selection of teas, I tried a mixed berries tea and enjoyed it. The good news, it closes at 8 pm and opens in weekends. However, the reason I rated the place 3 stars is because of the staff who were very weird and not welcoming at all. Which made me un comfortable to go their again . I'll never forget the first time I made my way to Wall and Keogh, which was just by accident. I had just moved to Dublin and needed a caffeinated drink. I ordered a chai latte, a drink not on the menu, that the cashier/barista was happy to make for me since I clearly had no idea what I was doing. Only once they had finished and I was going to pay did they mention they only took cash - I had none. They were so hospitable and said to just come back when I had the money. Amazing. I came back the next day and have been a huge fan ever since. They have so many tea options- and the place smells amazing! It has a very cozy feel to it, and the staff have been so nice when I've been in. They're actually there to help you! I've heard their lunch is quite nice, and they have a quaint back patio where you can enjoy some fresh air! I plan to take advantage of that soon! read more

Such a wonderfully pleasant place to enjoy a coffee or, as they are more well known for, tea! I met a friend here one cold winters evening, arriving at about half four. We sat downstairs in the basement (so cosy and warm) for almost 2 hours chatting away. The staff were lovely, and the mocha was perfect! I have a couple of celiac friends and let's be honest there's only that many chocolate brownies one can eat until you get tired of just having the one gluten free choice. But this place is amazing, all their cakes are homemade and most of them glutten free. Amazing selection of teas and to make it even better they will make your coffee with whatever milk you want (almond, soya, coconut...) without crazy extra charges. Lovely relaxing spot in South Richmond St with every imaginable tea leaf brewed in lovely individual pots and cosy outdoor area out the back for sunnier afternoons, although they have facilitated smokers with hot water bottles outside when it gets chillier. Today I found Wall & Keogh delightful. It was 16.30; the atmosphere was cozy; the music just perfectly tempered - Riders on the Storm and Mellow Yellow enhanced the mood - and the food was surprisingly good - both the veg and the tuna sushi had an excellent consistency and were ample for a late (and chilly) afternoon when lunch is a distant memory and dinner might not happen. I would have gone for a higher powered wasabi but that is a personal taste that should not be too eagerly inflicted on the uninitiated! At the next table a hungry couple showed all the signs of deep satisfaction from some substantial and wholesome looking sandwiches. The tea was of course exceptional. I could have lingered for longer in the unhurried atmosphere but Times wingéd chariot hurried near, promises to keep and so much to be done...I will return for a 5th time - 3 hits and one miss to date and maybe that singular grump was because others were hogging the good seats!!!.
