I have property outside Oakville with many trees. I was worried about tree safety and thought we would need to have several removed. To my surprise Tony evaluated the site and the job was much smaller and less expensive than I had anticipated. Today, Tony and his crew were removing some dead birch trees across the street. I asked him to stop by and give us a price for removing our large liquid Amber tree. He came, he saw...and they removed the tree for a very reasonable sum! A quick and clean job. This company was the WORST tree service I have ever had to deal with. I strongly recommend that you to NOT use them. They did a horrible job in the first place & I had already written them a check. They promised to send a reimbursement check, which of course NEVER arrived. My husband & I both tried multiple times contacting the owner (who is actually the one who made the promise). This is not typical of such a highly reviewed company so it is hard for me to leave this review. But something is seriously lacking in the customer service end of this business. I was thrilled with my 150 year old oak tree's "haircut" today! Wallace Tree is professional, gracious, and thorough. The response from his office was same day, phone staff was polite, and Tony worked around my schedule to come out to do the estimate. He listened to my concerns when we met and the estimate was right in the ballpark. Today Tony and his great crew were on time and they trimmed with extreme care with thought for the esthetics of this beautiful old oak and for future growth while also considering the safety factors when an old tree is close to a home. Cleanup was thorough and they even cleaned my neighbor's driveway just in case a stray leaf floated over there. I highly recommend Wallace Tree and appreciate the excellent service. We are very unhappy about our trees! Tony (the owner) told us he would keep our Redwoods at or just below the fence line. He started his chain saw & wiped out all the bottom branches without taking the time to look at the view from our house windows. He cut way above the fence line & now our neighbors look directly into our house. Every time we open the windows now we are reminded of the terrible job. We mentioned it to him & his comment was just "Oh!" Nothing else. He didn't offer any possible solutions or discounts at all so we could somehow make things right. read more

We have a tree that has started to fall over. We need to have it removed as soon as possible. We were told that Wallace Tree Service was great! We called Wallace and the receptionist told us that she had no clue what her bosses schedule was and that they would have to call us back. We never received a call back. So we called Napa Valley Tree Service and even though the owner was extremely busy, he spoke to us personally and tried to work out the best time available, to at least "see" the tree. In regard to Wallace: It's too bad the customer service aspect of Wallace is absolutely terrible. The owner may have skills, but if he is unreachable then we will take our business elsewhere. read more
