Love italian cuisine? Come here. Want excellent service? Take your chances. May get and my not. Is this restaurant popular? Yes it is. This means waiting staff is super busy and customers have less proper attention than they should. Oh, you came by during quiet time - good for you. If during busy time - don't expect perfect service. But you may expect great food quality. Just don't order tiramisu. I think competitors swapped the cake for us so we won't give five star rating. Table for two was a choice for us and we got table number 10. I'd say one of the "go for" tables for couples. Good lighting, no one passing you, have a wall to lay back if stomach needs some rest :) Downside is a lack of waiting staff. Our waiter disappeared and we waited for about 15 minutes until someone approached us. As our plates were empty and deserts were finished, we waited for 15 minutes only to say "bill, please". After complaint about terrible tiramisu, waiter just nodded and not a word about it. Then brought a receipt. I can tell, that he was too busy to deal with complaints. Well, be warned - don't expect anything by complaining. Oh, you may expect one thing, waste your time. Apart from that, I'm coming back to try some other nice dishes. Canolo was not authentic. Was a close taste to a real one, but not the real deal.

I hadn't been here in a few years as last time I ate here I ordered an aubergine parmesan, which was dripping in oil and put me off completely for a long, long time. Anyhow, I thought to give it another go (staying well clear from that dish) My seafood risotto was okay...bit too tomato-y, a bit too undercooked and not a whole lot of fish (apart from 2 prawns and few mussels and 2 tiny pieces of squid). My friends pizza was actually really good. And only 12 euro. Their early bird is only 18 euro for 2 courses, so value wise it's pretty good. Service was friendly enough There is nothing wrong with this restaurant at all. It's just that it's one of those places I wouldn't rush back to.

Pretty good Italian place, but not great. 3.5 stars. I ordered some garlic bread, which was about as standard as garlic bread gets. I also got carbonara, which I think is a good dish to judge the overall quality of an Italian place by. Again, good but not great. The sauce and pork were both good. The noodles were a little more al dente than I like. So overall a slightly above average Italian restaurant.

I have been to this place Many Times already and I have waited to write a review. I have to say I love the food and wine there! They have a good selection. I have tried many pizzas already and all of them are amazing, same for starters (even if the starters portion are small, I mean not suitable to share them). The staff is Italian speaking as it should be in an Italian restaurant and very friendly and lovely.

I had been craving pizza for the past few days..not just any pizza. some authentic Italian. A colleague of mine suggested this place as apparently it was meant to be great authentic food. Well I can definitely agree on that. Just by looking at the menu I knew it was genuine Italian food..and what a great selection they have! Since me and my fiancé couldn't decide on which one to chose we picked and shared two different types of pizza ( "Romana" and "A modo mio" ) as well as some bruschetta for starter. Both were absolutely delicious and quite big too. I definitely want to go back and try more of the menu as everything looked really good. I read some comments about service being slow but I really can't complain, staff were lovely and we got served super quick. The only reason why I am not giving it a 5 is I found it a tiny bit expensive. But again maybe it's cause I know pizza in Italy is generally much cheaper than it is in Dublin.

Just on your left as you enter the "Italian Quarter" from the Hapenny Bridge, you'll find La Taverna. This is the best place for a glass of good vino with great cheese and antipastis on offer. Great to pop in for a quick catch up with friends or for a whole evening of deep and meaningfuls.

Really great pizza, when you feel the lack of italian food, no doubt, choose Wallace's, the best place in city where go and enjoy italian taste.

Great place for a long al fresco lunch and a bit of people watching when you sit outside on a sunny Sunday afternoon.

Usually, the dining room comprises an underground hideaway that is quite sleek and intimate. However, due to the lockdown measures, we had to do outdoor seating directly on William Street while we were there. The experience was still beautiful, thanks to the surrounding scenery. The cocktails were grand between the P61 Signature Cocktail and the Hugo -- both prosecco-based cocktails. The former was delicious between the peach puree and prosecco, while the latter was a little more tart with the elderflower cordial. For dinner, we kicked things off with gluten-free bread with a trio of dips that were quite tasty. The Tortellini I ordered was exquisite and scrumptious with how it was prepared between the goat cheese, asparagus, red onion, wilted spinach, cream sauce, and bacon. I applauded this lovely dish with the last bite. I devoured the warm almond flour brownie for dessert, served with chocolate sauce and gelato, which my wife could also enjoy since the dish was gluten-free. Overall, Platform 61 was a great way to conclude our second Irish journey. We will return, especially to enjoy the underground dining area.

My first thought was "who comes to Dublin to go to a wine bar?" but my first thought was totally wrong. I absolutely loved La Cava! It's such a cozy intimate restaurant. It gave me lots of West Village (NYC) vibes. Be careful when looking for the restaurant because you can walk right by it, It's a little place right off of Grafton St. It's also located downstairs! Such a hidden gem! We did the 3-course pre-fixe. The burrata was amazing, so fresh! The service was excellent. You were given plenty of time to enjoy your food without being rushed for the next course. The duck was perfect, and the lamb was delicious. For the dessert, the creme brulee was grand. I can't think of a single bad thing to say about this restaurant. The prices were reasonable! I highly recommend having dinner here if you're in Dublin. Note, the restaurant is small, so you'll be sitting very close to other people. Personally, this didn't bother me, but some people might not love that. But be aware, that they don't accept AMEX!

Decided on the 2 course Prix Fixe. Chose the mussels and then the fish duo. Of course had to have wine. I honestly can't get enough of this place. Can't wait to return!!
