It is my pleasure to write a review of Laura Nally. Last year, in anticipation of a significant renovation and redecoration of my home, I searched online for recommended interior decorators in the area. Laura's reviews were outstanding so I picked up the phone and made an appointment with her. I have never been sorry! Over the course of the next 6-8 months, Laura guided me as I chose shutters, shades, paint colors, drapes and cornice, pillows and window seat cushions. She even allowed me to pick her brain about accessories. I have been happy with each and every selection. Laura has a great sense of design but knows how to tactfully suggest more suitable alternatives. She listens to your requirements and preferences and makes recommendations accordingly. Laura is always pleasant, reliable and is a woman of her word! She even puts you at ease in sticky situations. Should I need more help decorating in the future, I will turn to Laura Nally. Avoid. Everyone here is miserable. The design people are better at hiding it than the counter, but true colors showed this week. I bought wallpaper here previously and retuned to buy more. I waited while the woman working helped someone on the phone. While waiting, she noticed I had samples and asked if I was working with a designer. I said yes. She scowled, pointed her finger, and said "they frown upon designers sending people to the store." I waited to explain my wants to her while she finished her call. I never got the chance. I wanted to let her know I was not sent by a designer. The wallpaper is a small piece of a larger project. I'm paying a designer hourly for help, but have no obligation to source through them. Construction is underway and I came to buy wallpaper today. I did not even need her help. If there were books and a computer to enter my sq footage in, and no salesperson, I probably would have left with a big order that day. When I stopped her rant to ask if I could explain this, she went on and on. It was clear if I did not make a purchase today, it was going to get even more uncomfortable. I agree with her point that it's unacceptable to shop at a design store with intent to purchase elsewhere. With 12th grade level listening skill and tact, this could have been addressed and most likely worked through. Instead I was talked over and down to. Made to feel so uncomfortable that I politely said I should probably leave, and did. You can buy wallpaper from anywhere and prices are about the same. The only difference is the people you talk to. So it is unfortunate that the interaction I had with a salesperson was the ONLY thing that prevented me from making this purchase. 2 rather than 1 stars since the selection is good. Makes me regret that I won't be back. I love design and thought of this might be a new happy place before this. read more

If you're looking to match paint for any existing space, you have to go to this Wallauer. I was on such a task last week. I spent the better part of an hour in the store while one of their specialists (wish I knew his name) tried to match a tiny sample of my wall that was painted about 20 yrs ago. After his very thorough work, he finally thought he had matched my paint. His persistence in trying to match my sample exactly was phenomenal. After touching up some very small and some fairly larger spots, the paint dried so exactly, I even got compliments from my wife!!! These guys are good. Their store is totally stocked and the service is excellent. I'd recommend them for all your paint and hardware needs. read more

Laura is incredible. I had a couple of local projects that she did a wonderful job with previously (wallpaper and shades) and I returned to ask her for her help with an apartment in Spain. I was looking for a Moroccan influence and she came up with fantastic fabric suggestions in response to my complicated request. I gave Laura a few photos and she took the time to search for unique fabrics which were perfect. She has an amazing design sense and made far more interesting choices than I would have selected if left to my own devices. Laura is a design guru so trust her. I am a designer have worked with Laura at Wallauers for almost 8 years. She has worked with me on countless projects. The library at Walauers is extensive and has every fabric, trim, wallpaper you can find in the D&D building. Laura's knowledge of all the products they offer is endless. She has an amazing eye and she is excellent at knowing what you are looking to achieve and helping you find the product to do so. Her design skills are spot on. Beyond that she is a master at staying on top of every project you are working on with her and coordinating installations, shipping, samples etc. All installers I have worked with have been knowledgeable, professional and a pleasure to work with. I have had only had happy clients and am a client myself. I can not speak highly enough about Wallauers in Bedford Hills, Laura and all of the staff. If you haven't been in before you should make it your first stop and it's worth the drive if you aren't local. read more

Had a great experience working with Laura Nally on window treatments for our kitchen, laundry/bathroom area, and a bedroom. All areas required something a bit different and she came up with great solutions. Pleasant experience from start to finish. Made an appointment with Laura to visit our home. Well worth the effort. She knows what she is doing and we are delighted with our project. We got an updated look and a beautiful result. Can't wait to start our den and living room spring 2017! If I could give this a negative rating I would. Wallauer took measurements of my windows to install cordless blinds. They never warned me that the windows were too large for cordless, and sure enough, within 6 months, they had problems and were not working properly. Laura, the manager at Bedford Hills is one of the most unprofessional people I have EVER come across. She fought tooth and nail over replacing them, and instead wanted to repair them and leave me without black out shades for nearly a month in my toddlers' bedrooms. This is after collecting from me $16,000 for the original, faulty shades. She finally realized how unreasonable that was (after several horrendous conversations with her, during which she mocked me loudly on the phone to the Wallauer installation employee at my house, spoke extremely condescendingly towards me, and was outright difficult). Yet when the cord loop blinds arrived, the cord loop was too long and I had safety concerns for my children. The installation employee me assured me we could do a shorter cord loop, and took measurements for same. He promised me to return within a week with the shorter loops. That never happened and an entire MONTH later, Laura informed me that they would not be returning at all and that she was washing her hands of this. No mention of the money I paid to her. No mention of the promises she and Wallaeur employees made to me. I am DISGUSTED. There are SO many blinds places with professionalism and courtesy to their customers - save yourself my headache and take your business anywhere else. read more

Laura is amazing. I have just moved into a new home and didn't know where to start. Laura greets you like an old friend. She is warm and talented. She has the ability to know what you are looking for even before you know it. She has helped me tremendously with several projects and I feel like the rooms are turning out to be what I would have wanted. She listens and gets right on your page. She has me taking some risks which I love. She always greets you with a smile and she makes time for you and you never feel rushed. I will continue to work with Laura.
