There was also points on his benefit that when I do refinance than he would get a little kick from the bank. I couldn't back out of the deal because we had all contingencies removed which means I would lost my 15k deposit and I had no choice but to move forward. But yeah, look up Mathan Fairweather on google. I'm not the only one who got screwed.

In the beginning of the process, they asked us to provide several documents and complete an application when we had already done so. When Ray sent emails/updates, we had a lot of questions. Often times the paperwork received did not align with what Joseph told us. Joseph could not answer our questions and admitted he hadn't even seen the emails or paperwork involved. I feel, as our rep, he should review all items and be prepared to answer any questions before we receive them. We were approved for the loan and we wound up canceling the entire process because of the lack of communication and because Joseph would not deliver on his promises. We tried to schedule a meeting with Ray and Joseph to sort things out. Ray called me out of the blue, while I was at work. When I told him I wasn't available, he said he would schedule a call with Joseph and he -- that never happened. Our credit report was pulled, we spent hours writing letters, retrieving documents, completing their application and it was all for nothing. Because it took so long to get to the point where we canceled, we couldn't apply with another company without harming our credit rating. This company could do well to improve their communication skills among themselves and with their clients.
