I had to post a review after reading some of the negative comments, I wonder if some of these customers are in an alternate universe or something. I have purchased 3 vehicles from Walls Ford, and have serviced 2 others. The sales staff have always treated me with respect and negotiations have been honest and fair. Sean Freeman in service is an outstanding service advisor, the Technicians and Mechanics, have been excellent in diagnosing and fixing any problems I have had, even though they are few. They fix it right, the first time. As cars get more and more complex, Good Diagnosticians are becoming more and more rare. Walls has been pretty good in this area, better than most. As a Ford customer since 1981, I have experienced many ford dealerships over the decades, starting with Wilmington, Bonnell, Sentry and Regan, Ford, all now long gone. Had good luck at Londonderry ford with my Supercharged Mustang, but have settled on Walls as the best for the past 16 years, take my word for it, it does not get much better than these guys as dealerships go. read more

Why You Should Think Twice Before Buying a Car from Wall's Ford Inc in Salisbury, MA Before the end of last year, I decided to purchase a car and found the specific model I wanted at Wall's Ford in Salisbury. I contacted the dealership through their website and scheduled a day and time to check out the car. They messaged me saying the car would be waiting outside for a test drive. When I arrived, the car was still inside the dealership. The dealer I was working with, Mr. DeVito, asked me to wait while he arranged the test drive. Since it was lunchtime, I went to a nearby restaurant. While I was eating, Mr. DeVito called and asked me to come back the next day. I didn't understand why I had to return after already scheduling an appointment, but I agreed. The next day, the car was finally outside. I drove it with Mr. DeVito. Since I planned to trade my old car as part of the purchase, we negotiated the prices of both vehicles. We reached an agreement, and Mr. DeVito told me I had seven days to have the car inspected. I mentioned that in my experience buying cars from dealers, inspections are usually completed by the dealership before purchase. Mr. DeVito told me they didn't have the registration yet, so they couldn't do the inspection. He then said, "You do the inspection, I promise to reimburse you; we'll send you a check." I left the dealership, and within minutes, they called me back saying they had the registration after all--clearly proving they could have done the inspection themselves. It's been almost two months since I purchased the car, and I still haven't received the promised reimbursement check. While the amount was only $35, a promise is a promise, and failing to honor it reflects poorly on the dealership. Overall, the entire experience with Wall's Ford was very disappointing. From the mismanaged appointment and test drive to the unfulfilled promise, it was a frustrating process. I will never buy a car from this dealership again, and I highly recommend others stay away as well. read more

We had car trouble traveling from Maine to NJ. A few places suspected the turbo and said we should go to a Ford dealer. Stopped here on a whim (with 2 teenage boys and our 50lb dog in tow). Sean in the service department got it right in, found the problem (not the turbo) and took a picture with his phone to show us. We needed to tow our truck home since they couldn't get parts until Tuesday, but these people gave the dog treats, fed my boys calzone they had ordered for themselves, brought sodas and chips without taking a dime, and another team member is driving my husband to get a rental car. These people won't get a penny from us today or ever since we don't live around here, yet they have gone above and beyond anything I could have imagined. Just really nice people. read more

For the second time in less than a year, I brought one of my vehicles to Wall's Ford hoping to get an issue fixed. An issue I was prepared to pay for each time. Both times I have now been sent on my way, with them saying they do not want to perform the repairs because my vehicle was not purchased at Walls Ford. Even though the issue is apparently covered under warranty. With so many options available these days, you would assume that places such as car dealerships that rely on service to retain customers; would make more of an effort to provide a helping hand when needed. I had my car in for service. How many miles does it take for a test drive? My car was driven 25 miles. I wanted to know why. I have a dash cam in the car. When I went to see where my car had been driven to. someone wiped the footage off the SD card. I gave no one permission to touch my dash cam or any data on the SD card. This place was AMAZING! I'm in a not great situation credit wise because of student loans AND I had a lease that I was way over my miles on. I felt like I was in an impossible situation when I called and spoke to Dave B. Not only did they help get me out of the situation with my lease but I ended up getting a great car at an amazing deal with a lower interest rate then anyone I know! I was treated wonderfully by my salesman and the finance department. As corny as it sounds I felt like they were all genuinely happy for me and it was a really great feeling. As far as some of the other negative comments are concerned I definitely think it is the buyers responsibility to educate themselves before buying a vehicle. I was not pressured into anything, as a matter of fact I waited a few days before I signed my contract so that I could review my finances and complete more research so that I could personally insure that I am getting the best deal for myself and so that I was sure it was something that I could afford. My Fiance and I were looking for a specific vehicle for a second car. We happened to be in the area and saw that they had the car model we were looking for, so we ended up stopping in. We viewed the car which was priced lower then what we were looking to spend for a used car and it had many more options. To be clear we had previously been denied financing through another dealership so we were a little worried in our shopping, since we didn't want to be disappointed again. We looked at the car and immediately knew that was the car we were looking for, we dealt with Aaron and he provided the information we wanted and instead of pushing the sale, he said that we should go drive it to lunch and think about it. There was no pushiness, so we decided to just take it for a spin, we were even more impressed. We got back and talked to Aaron and explained our credit situation and he assured us he could make it work. We ended up getting approved quickly and soon were filling out the paperwork, which went quick as well. After having the car for a little bit we found some issues, which they quickly resolved, with no issues whatsoever. The customer service we experienced with their service department, especially with Steven, was way above what we were expecting. Then when we had a problem with the transmission, its a mini cooper they have problems with that, they sent it to the local mini dealership to make sure that we were satisfied with our purchase and the repair, they even gave us a free rental car! I would highly recommend dealing with this business, they are honest, and go above and beyond to make sure your are happy with your purchase. If your are looking for a ford or a used car I recommend dealing with Aaron, or if you need service, be sure to give Steven a call. I stopped by Wall's ford to ask if they could check the air pressure in my tires and a nice service assistant whom was short and wore glasses had someone bring my car in and filled air in all of my tires. I went in with low credit, a huge amount of student loan debt, a part time job and no cosigner. Wall's Ford worked miracles. They worked tirelessly with the bank to give me a monthly payment I could afford. I was skeptical that I would ever be approved but they made it happen. I had visited other dealerships around Newburyport, MA and was basically laughed at once my credit had been checked. Besides that all of the people I worked with were simply lovely. They treated me like one of the family and I thoroughly enjoyed being there. I even met Mr. Wall himself! I would recommend this dealership in a heartbeat. Asking for a 5K market adjustment (over the MSRP) to the price of a truck! Certainly understand there is a shortage but this is no way to treat your customers. We've been at least 5 other dealerships and no else is trying to take advantage of their customers like this dealership is. I went to Walls just to bounce ideas off of the sales team when I wanted to upgrade my 2013 F150 XLT. I had a specific truck in mind, so I wasn't expecting it to be found right away at the price I wanted (A used, low mileage, F150 FX4 loaded is not easy to find). I described my ideal truck to salesman Tom Fountain. Within 3 days he called me in to show me what he thought was the perfect truck for me. He couldn't have been more dead on. It had everything I needed and he (as well as Heather) worked with me to get my monthly payments just right to take it home. It was a smooth and easy process at a great dealership. In 40 years of car buying, my Wall's experience was the best to date. My salesman Joe Crescitelli, knows the products inside and out. They didn't have what I wanted on the lot but asked me if I would give them a chance to get it. Joe texted me information about available trucks, specs and prices and in a couple days the truck of my choice was on the lot with a very reasonable price. We went to Walls Ford as our Lease was almost up. Our restrictions for a new car, were that we could only put down x dollars, and only wanted to pay the same monthly red carpet lease we had with our 2015 Ford Escape Titanium. I had researched and could not figure out how I could get the same or better car newer. Tom Fountain, spent the time with us to look and review multiple choices. Julie Wall stopped in and graciously asked how we were doing, were we getting the car I wanted. Was there anything we wanted or needed. There was NO pressure from either of them to buy. Tom heard what we wanted in a new car and trust me we had lots of wants! He researched multiple SUV's, we test drove an Ecosport, as an fiscally sound option. The facts were presented and we were able to make a decision. Other dealers we contacted were a hard sell, did not have the car we wanted or said they did and didn't. Tom never promised, but told us he would do the best he could to get it. He required a deposit, any amount we felt comfortable with. We got a call the next day that the car we choose was ours! We did have to give up our Vista Sun Roof, but we got a much safer, 2018 Ford ESCAPE Titanium for X amount of dollars down and $1 dollar less than what we were paying for our 2015!!! Amazing process..and then OMG we had to go through the paperwork to end the lease and start a new lease...I dread this part, but low and behold Heather was wonderful, quick and professional dotted all the I's and T's. I did not want to buy all the extra end of lease or maintenance plans, but did want just one little portion and didn't want to add it to my monthly payment. So she arranged for me to pay it in a lump sum and separated it out! Then I walked out with Tom who explained all the new tech, set my phone in, setup the Sirrus favorite channels and well I was home with a brand new car within a couple of hours! I don't even know the right words to say to express how amazing this dealership is. Tom Fountain went above and beyond to find me the vehicle that i was asking for. There was a lot of musts for me and he nailed them all and then some! They worked with me on my trade and got me into my dream vehicle for a monthly payment i was looking for. The Sales manager Luis was also a big help in this process because of helping me out with the trade. The service advisor, Steven, showed me how everything worked in the vehicle and answered all of my questions. He stayed very patient with me. Last Sunday, My wife and I were headed back to NJ in my 2007 Ford F-150 pickup towing a 24 foot enclosed trailer. The truck started running really rough on Rt 495. We limped into Wall's Ford. Their service and repair was closed because it was a Sunday. Fortunately, sales was open. Bruce Dambra went above and beyond to help us out. He found a spot on their lot for me to park the trailer. Helped my wife find a pet friendly hotel for us to spend the night and made a courtesy car available for us to use. The Service Dept. was great too. They diagnosed the problem as a bad coil wire, fixed the problem and had us back on the road by 10:00 am on Monday. Exceptional people and great customer service. In our opinion they went above and beyond to help us out. read more

With other Fords in the area, don't waste your time New to the area - I wish I had known about Wall's reputation for bad attitude and bad service. With the exception of David B., who was helpful - and super friendly. He did his best to fix all of the missteps that his teammates made during our transactions with them. Wall Ford both underperformed in terms of basic competency and in customer service. After working with their finance person to return a lease and purchase a new vehicle - what you would assume is a common occurrence - the manager left the organization. There was absolutely no attempt at follow through to follow up with the customers he was working with - we had our car but there was no evidence that we paid for the car. Moreover, Wall's GM Chris Lefebvre did not follow through or take ownership of his employees promises or mistakes - and was, quite frankly, disrespectful. Incompetency clearly did not stop at the individuals no longer at Wall. So, why pay them money - when, if you like the product, you can get better service without the sass at another Ford, like Danvers. read more

They also have a good size play room for children, which if you have kids you no how big of a deal this is while waiting. Staff is always very polite. I would recommend Walls Ford for service. I bought my Ford at a different dealer because I lived in a different town. Then I moved here and had an oil change at Walls and everything was fine. But then I needed an inspection sticker and I have always got them at a dealer. It's always been a quick easy thing at every other dealer. At Walls they refused to do an inspection on my 2 year old Ford Escape unless I get other services done at the same time! What? I have never had to do that any other Ford dealer or any dealer for that matter. Needless to say I've never been back to Walls. I switched to the next closest Ford dealer. It's an extra 10 minute drive but I won't go back to Walls. read more

Julie, While I appreciate your comments and outline of discussions with your service associates, this does not help me the consumer. Clearly having happened twice, I should have made you aware when it occurred the first time, but as I said I was trying to provide Wall's the benefit vs. the doubt. When it happened the second time I let your Service Department know. From my vantage point your reply to my Yelp comments was the first acknowledgement that anyone heard me. I filled out your online survey which your dealership sent about a week ago, and no contact. Your service person Derek knew I was not happy, nobody followed up. No call, concern etc.. It was my pushing the message through Yelp that solicited your comments. As I said, "not the way to run a business." In my line of work at a Fortune 500 company we follow up immediately with customers, especially when they have concerns. Given the last two service engagements, as a consumer I am now out money for having spent $88.00 for two oil changes, the rest of the services as far as am concerned not performed. The impact of not delivering the rest of the services advertised is as follows; 1. My tires have not been rotated for a while which means I may not get wear out of them I should have had the services been performed. As you know rotating tires is an accepted practice, is advocated by the auto industry, and does prove to increase tire life. 2. I have no understanding or trust in other information requested of your service department for transmission and brake inquiries. 3. Given the 2nd item I have now lost time and miles as it equates to my warranty and being able to use facets of it if applicable. I think you get my points here. If Wall's were truly customer centric and concerned they would have reached out to make this right... read more

We get our Fusion serviced there and we've been happy with the work. We also get our car detailed there and today had our daughter-in-law's car detailed. 2 young kids and a dog made the car smelly and dirty. It looks and smells better than new. Service Guys are great. read more

What I liked best about Scott Hutchins my sales agent, from the first conversation we had , he was interested and helpful, listened to what I was looking for in a new used car, and offered selections in that direction, very attentive to details while making sure it was not a pressured manuever as it often is in car sales. Stan was also very helpful with the financing process and made sure that it was a smooth transition for vehicles. No complaints only compliments, and the Wall family members work together to make sure their customers needs are met whether it sales or service! read more

I would like to thank Tom Fountain and the rest of the people at Walls Ford for the easiest and least stressful car buying experience I have ever had. I spent the last week researching vehicles and finally did some test driving over the weekend. When I met Tom Fountain at Wall's Ford I knew right away that he was not your "typical" in your face, high pressure car salesman. He was friendly and really listened to what I was looking for in a car. He let my husband and I take a Ford Focus on a test drive on our own which was something we both appreciated so we could openly discuss how we felt about the car. After the test drive, Tom sat down with us and flat out told us the bottom line price on the Focus and showed us exactly how he arrived at it (and, based on my research into fair purchasing prices, it was a very good deal!). I respected the fact that there wasn't the usual back and forth and "let me go check with the desk" BS you usually get at a dealership. When I told him I needed to think on it some, he was firm but not pushy about acting fast because the cars were moving off the lot quickly. After some discussion and an unpleasant experience at the Chevy dealership down the street, we went bank to Wall's to put a deposit on the car to hold it until I could come back the next day with my trade in vehicle. When we did go back the next day, Tom let us take the car out for a second test drive while they evaluated my trade. They offered me a fair trade in value for my Chevy Cobalt and explained how they arrived at the price. Yesterday when I picked up the car, everything went smoothly. Signing the paperwork and going over the details of the financing (usually the most painful part) was quick and easy. The finance manager, Stan, was friendly, honest, and got me a great rate and payments that were lower than my target price. Tom took the car to fill the gas tank and get me an inspection sticker while I signed the paperwork and then took the time to show me how to use all of the nifty Sync My Ride features in the car. I would definitely recommend that anyone looking to buy a car go to Walls and talk to Tom and Stan. In fact, my husband already has his eye on a Ford Escape when it's time to trade in his Saturn. read more

The customer service experience at Walls is horrible. The car rental girl actually yelled at me several times and was extremely argumentative butting into my conversation with the service advisor. It was not even her conversation to participate in. The service department refused to acknowledge that there was a legitimate issue with my car, not listening to my concerns, and instead responding over and over with the script like response "the car actually doesn't have an automatic transmission. It is a manual transmission that shifts automatically" as if that was supposed to make the problem suddenly OK. The car was severly bogging down, shuddering instead of accelerating, making terrible rattling sounds for extended periods of time while maintaining speed or accelerating, and would randomly shift into the wrong gear at the wrong time, either again bogging down or suddenly revving too high. After 2 visits and much battling and escalating, the dealer FINALLY investigated the problem and then found that there is a serious problem with the 3 month old car: The transmission fluid is leaking into the clutch and the entire transmission and clutch will require replacing. Then they outright refused to provide written documentation of the issue that they found, saying that they "will not be told how to run their business." They said I "can come pick up the can and leave". When I mentioned that this was repair #2 out of the the 3 attempts allowed under the lemon law and that I would be pursuing it, they suddenly changed their tune and provided the written documentation of the problem. The parts will take 2 weeks to come in (Of course) and so I have to drive the car in this condition until then. They said it would be OK even though the performance of the car is still affected. Worst customer service experience I have ever had in my entire life. Worst dealership I have ever encountered in my entire life. Worst car I have ever owned in my entire life! --update to Julie's reply: Hi Julie Your apology here on Yelp is the ONLY apology I've received (fact not opinion). Not one of your partners/owners/employees has acknowledged my frustration nor have they apologized. Good thing I posted this. I understand your desire to paint my experience in a different light, however you left out several key irrefutable facts (not opinions): Every time I described a problem with the transmission, each of your employees in the service department would say -- "you must not understand how the automatic transmission works" or -- "the transmission is not automatic, it is a manual transmission that shifts automatically and so that is what you are experiencing" or -- "your sales person must not have explained how the automatic transmission works" or -- "that is just how the car works" They (more than 1 of your service department employees) would tell me these things over and over. Simply ask them how many times they told me this - it was probably 20 - 25 times or more (fact)! I've been in contact with Ford Corporate and they assure me (fact) they absolutely do not instruct dealers to tell customers those things or - even worse - to yell at the customer (it is a fact that your employees yelled at me when I kept insisting that the car can't be this bad and that there is a problem that I want checked out). It is a fact (not opinion) that your service department refused to provide written description of the problem, offering only to provide a list of what parts were going to be ordered. I had to keep insisting on receiving a written description of the problem (which is my right under the law), escalating the request up to the service department manager/owner before getting it. I was even told by the service department manager/owner that "I could not tell him how to run his shop" and that I would "come get my car and leave". It is a fact that once I mentioned that I would have to then pursue the lemon law on this car that he changed his mind and provided the written description. If I did not keep insisting that there actually IS a problem with the car, and I blindly accepted that Ford could have produced a car that performed this badly, I'd be driving around in a car with a major prproblem (transmission fluid leaking into and contaminating the clutch). I know this is major problem because the fix that Ford is going to have you do is to replace the clutch AND replace the transmission and related parts (fact). Now if only I would receive an actual in person apology rather than one only through Yelp - that might start to repair the relationship between your dealer and me. read more

I would highly NOT recommend this dealership. My daughter and I bought her first car here and the transmission let go within a two week period. They wouldn't stand behind the car and I went up as far as the owner and he was just as uncooperative and unprofessional as I have dealt with. When we bought the car, we were told that the car was a lease car that they had serviced and could stand behind the mechanics of the car. They also told us we couldn't get an extended warranty as they didn't offer it anymore which was not true as I learned later. We also ordered paint twice for the exterior of the car which was never ordered. We ended up having them put in a rebuilt transmission to the cost of almost what we paid for the car. They never offered any assistance in the repair. The car has been running fine since the transmission replacement. read more
