We chose Moe's for our anniversary dinner and couldn't have been happier. The drinks were excellent, the service was attentive without being overbearing and every part of the meal was fantastic. The house chips with the homemade peppercorn dip made for an awesome starter. I ordered the filet and my wife had the fried fish. Both dishes were creative without being overcomplicated, and they were cooked perfectly. It was one of those meals where everything just came together. Great food, great service and a great evening. Owner is self-centered and rude, and insulted my wife, a paying customer right to her face. This was due to confusion of reservation time which was only a difference of 15 minutes! Customers should not be treated this way!!! Nobody wanted to speak up, which was another problem. As for the food, the chicken sandwich and fries was mediocre at best. Looked on par from what you'd get at a little league snack stand. Much better dining options in the Falls where one can be treated with respect. I'd avoid this place at all costs, unless you want a rude owner to belittle you in public! Then ask for your money. read more

One of our favorite places to frequent. The menus changes with the seasons. The food is worth the trips. The martinis are a suggested favorite, however, the wine seems to sit opened may throw off your dinner depending. Service is a 5/10, mostly accommodating but several visits have showed a lack of professionalism in the environment. This is an Akron gem. Moe founded the restaurant in 1998 and nearly 30 years later it is still going strong. Its bistro vibe enhanced with an intimate dining room gives you the option of a fine dining meal for a special occasion or an upscale, more casual option. We love to take people from out of town and dine in one of the booths in the cafe side of the space. You can order off both menus in the cafe. My seared duck breast with risotto and green beans was perfect, a French / Alice Waters type prep that had us wanting more. The cocktails were on point as well, with generous pours. If I could give half stars I would give this a 3.5 - rounding up because of the playlist during dinner and the company I had with me (a great group of friends), so the vibes we spot on. We had a group of 8 of us on a Thursday evening and I am glad we had a reservation because it was busy. From the moment we arrived our server was attentive, but it was odd because she kept walking away from us mid order. She would take two or three peoples drink order then run away and come back and ask if anyone else wanted a drink. We eventually figured out her method and people weren't annoyed when she skipped over them because they knew she'd be back, but she needs some training as this could definitely upset or confuse folks who are not as laid back as we were. Now for the food! Really diverse menu. Interesting options and something for everyone's palette which is nice. I struggled as someone who is GF to decipher what options were GF because they didn't have much listed but they were accommodating when I asked questions. The stuffed pepper appetizer was solid - crumbled beef I thought, not sausage so it was a different take on peppers but they were good! Everyone enjoyed their appetizers. The spinach dip was said to be good just not hot enough. The beef Wellington was fabulous - I split it with my friend and just removed the puff pastry so I could eat it. Tender beef and delicious flavor. That was the highlight of the meal for me. My husband had the moe betta burger and said it was one of the best he's had. I will probably order that next time! I can't believe I have not done a review of Moe's before this. Moe's is on my regular rotation of restaurants. This is a downtown place but kind of off the beaten path on Front street. The food is excellent and I have enjoyed every thing I have gotten there. Lamb and duck are my go to choices but my wife likes the wedge salad to the filet. All recommend. They also have a great burger and fries and they are a true value which is hard to find in today's economy The staff is professional and acts like they are happy you have come in. Had reservations for the restaurant side on a Friday night. Our first time going as reservations seem to be a must and we've not gotten in before. The staff were professional and friendly. The room is very small so expect to be seated close to another table. The food was fantastic. I had the scallops and shrimp over lobster risotto and it was one of the best things ha I've eaten in a long time. The calamari was also very good, again some of the best ever. My only complaint is that for an expensive, great dining experience, it was very very loud. Being such a small space and close to the kitchen and bar, I wish they could put sound absorbing panels or not seat large 10 person parties in the dining room. What I hoped would be a more intimate dining experience was not. Otherwise, I really enjoyed the meal and staff. read more

My husband and I dined here last night and had a great experience! This is one of our favorite restaurants in the Akron area. Per usual, the food was excellent. Not pictured here, we ordered the short rib sliders as an appetizer. We usually order these sliders since we think they are one of the best items on the menu (hence no picture since we ate them so quickly) . I ordered the Mo'Betta Burger and loved the special sauce they put on it. My husband said the Mo'Betta chicken sandwich was very good. We don't love the finer dining atmosphere here and usually prefer to sit on the bar side of the restaurant. The finer dining side feels a bit sterile compared to the vibe on the bar side which often has locals chit chatting at the bar in a very neighborly manner. I was in town visiting a friend and she took me to Moe's. I wasn't sure what to expect but I was blown away. We were sat on the restaurant side. Staff were super friendly. The interior is cozy. We got the baked Brie and it was fantastic. But I do wish the grapes were seedless. For my entree I got the pan seared duck and it was so good. Perfectly cooked. The potato's it came with were just fine. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and hope to be back next time I'm in town. read more

I was surprised to see I've never actually reviewed Moe's before. After moving to the Falls in 2018, this quickly became one of my favorite restaurants. As other reviews note, there is a fine dining side and a tavern side, but you can order off both menus regardless of where you sit. Pre-pandemic, my family probably came here once a month. Since things opened up, we made a few failed attempts to get dinner/drinks here (tip: you definitely want to make a reservation), we had a fantastic anniversary dinner here last October. A few weeks ago, we ordered off the Tavern menu and shared appetizers. The short rib sliders and beet carpaccio salad are still two of my favorite things on the menu. My birthday was at the end of July, and my partner and I ate on the "fine dining side." We've had the same server several times over the last few years--and while I regretfully don't remember his name--he has been consistently awesome. He provided his usual excellent service. I had the scallops, which were served over lobster and corn risotto with red pepper cream. My partner had the walleye with a savory corn pudding and a clam chowder sauce. Both were absolutely delicious. This is one of the most consistent restaurants in the Falls, and I love that depending on your needs, you can have a casual night out or a real blow-out meal. I'm not sure if they still do their burger night special, but they do indeed have one of the best burgers in the area. read more

We went with another couple on a spur of the moment Monday. The time inside was quite busy, which is not unusual for 5 o'clock. We were greeted and seated quickly. The tavern side is lit just right with a nice bar and comfortable booths. When you look at the menu, there is a tavern and a dining. The dining menu is great, but we quite enjoy the tavern menu. We ordered the short rib sliders and hot stuffed peppers. These two were fabulous. For anotheretizer, we had ordered the tater tot's which was just OK. I ordered a Sazerac cocktail and relaxed while enjoying it. read more

Looked on Yelp for a local place on Monday night and Moe's won the Roll the dice. I can't say I was disappointed or dissatisfied and it's definitely not on my " one and done list" . Party of ten? Let's make that look effortless. The app were all excellent and the pepper stuffed with sausage was my favorite for flavor. Three of us had the short ribs and they all practically licked their plates clean. Everyone raved about the bread pudding and creme brûlée. Nice wine list, good scotches and bourbons and beer is well chosen. My friend had just recently moved to the area and she already lives at Moe's. When I came by to help her finish unpacking she told me I had to try this place. We popped in and sat at the bar and chatted with the bartender, very friendly. We ordered a few starters to split from the dinner tavern menu. Turns out we got there in time for happy hour which was just a bonus. We had two orders of the Freshly Shucked Oysters which were so so good. We then had an order of the Rice Fried Calamari. The flavor palette of that was a nice change from how calamari is usually served places and the addition of som tom salad of papaya, bean sprouts, herbs and chili was amazing. Finally, we got the mushroom ravioli - also very good though I wish there had been a bit less of goat cream cheese because the texture and flavor overwhelmed the ravioli a bit. To end the night, we got the crème brulee and it was, to no one's surprise, very good. Will I be coming back? Heck yes I will and I'm excited to try more of the menu! read more

We've eaten on the "bar-side" a few times now. They have a great atmosphere for both formal and more casual dining, depending on how you want. Their prices are fair for what you get, and we've never had any problems with the service. Their main dinner entrees are always well prepared and moderate in portion size. As a side note, they unexpectedly have the best burger in Cuyahoga Falls (that I've found so far), so don't be afraid to order from the Tavern side menu. read more

Moe's Restaurant was an extremely pleasant surprise. A person from our hotel suggested Moe's for dinner and I am really glad we went. I'm still not 100% sure but I think there is a tavern and a fine dining establishment. We accidentally went to the fine dining side and, even though I was not dressed up enough (leggings!) they didn't bat an eye. They offered food from the tavern and the fine dining side. Wow! All the food looked amazing. I had a beet salad with an addition of tenderloin steak and it was outstanding. My friend had a burger and fries which she enjoyed. We finished off the meal with dessert. Crème Brûlée for me and bread pudding with ice cream for her. Mine had that perfect sugar crunchy layer with creamy custard underneath. From then on for the next 20 minutes we were ignored and not given any service or attention from the staff.
