I had the lamb kabob plate and the wife had the chicken shawarma plate and both were delicious and tasty and plentiful. Without being aware of it they served us a delicious bowls of lentil soup as an appetizer and at the end of our meal they served us a pastry, both without charge!! I also had the Lebanese Pilsner beer and the wife the Lebanese coffee. Both were very very good. The restaurant had plenty of seating and the service was quick and easy. I would like to thank Wally and his group for the wonderful experience my 15yo son and I had tonight. I originally ordered food to go because I knew it was close to the time they close, but when I arrived to pick it up I saw a few people there, so I asked if we could sit. The woman who greeted us was warm and welcoming. She didn't look bothered, but - hospitable. She brought us waters as we sat and unwrapped our food. A man (who I later found out was Wally) brought us plates and forks. The food was very tasty. I can't remember being at a Lebanese restaurant. It was simple and unassuming. Perfect for us. We ordered chicken schawarma, the mixed meat plate, hummus, and dolmas. The portions of our plates were generous, with large side salads and the complimentary lentil soup and baklava I read about. Everything had a great flavor. My son didn't speak/breathe until every bit of his food was gone. Wally was kind to chat with us and tell us the story of how they came to Rocklin from the Bay. I found Wally's after reading an article about restaurants to stop at as you travel to Tahoe. Thankfully we live 10 mins away from this somewhat hidden gem. We would definitely go back. read more

I ordered the beef and lamb gyro plate- it was tender and flavorful - paired really well with the tzatziki sauce and Greek salad and rice. The baklava was the best I have ever tasted. It melts in your mouth and the pistachio flavor is mouthwatering. I ordered 2 pcs baklava to go that I ate in the car because I couldn't wait until I got home- it's that good. I've eaten here several times before and the food has been ok. Today ordered the Chicken Shawarma. It was dry, overcooked and looked like it was run through a panini machine. Way too hot to handle off the plate. Also tried the onions rings. They did not look or taste house made....more like what I'd get out of the frozen food section at a grocery store. I wouldn't bet on the baklava being house bakes either. Table service was not particularly on. Disappointing experience today. Maybe cook and staff was just off. The customer service here is so friendly, and the food here may be the best Mediterranean food I've eaten in the Sacramento area. I am review #900. Does this mean my review means nothing in a sea of five stars? Yes. So this review is for me I guess because I might be the only one to read it. Is Wally's a hole in the wall? Yes. Was I there 50% because of Tony Stark in some Avengers movie? Yes. Did I order food to go not realizing I could sit down and order and then I went and sat down and was embarrassed but the owners were super nice anyway? Yes. Now the food. Overall, I was so happy during and after. I was stuffed but so delicious. The lentil soup was tasty. I ordered the pomegranate chicken shawarma and it was so good. I loved the rice base as well. The salad had a great dressing. It comes with some pita and tzatziki sauce. All delicious. For dessert, a complimentary baklava comes along which is the perfect end (again I had no idea what was going on and had ordered two before the others came). I can't say enough about the owners either. Great people. Final word: this is the place to eat if you want happiness. read more
