As a female, I often get talked down to when doing anything automotive, but I have never had that problem here. Dave and Brent (or Brett...bad with names) are awesome. They speak with me like a person, greet me by name, I have never felt overcharged, and the service is always quick and pleasant. I was told Pomp's is still family owned, and it really shows in the service at this location I will continue to bring my vehicles here. Even if, on occasion, certain places are cheaper, I'd rather spend the extra $$ to be treated like I matter. I love being greeted by name, and being genuinely remembered. Pomp's charged me more than what they said would and damaged my wheels due to their negligence…read more I scheduled for them to do removal of my old set tires, remounting of new tires and wheel balancing. When I brought them at the time as scheduled earlier in the day, they could not find my reservation. It was okay though and I left the tires there so they could do the work and call me shortly when it was done. I asked them to be careful with them and not damage the alloy wheels. About an hour later Pomp's called me at home to tell me that they were done. When I returned to pick them up I asked if everything went okay, and the person there said yes. I then was told my total bill was $105.05. I said that earlier in the day you told me over the phone it would be $80 plus tax. The guy responded that my tires were low profile ones and that is why cost more. But when I called him earlier that day for a price quote I told him the size of the tires to be mounted. These people at Pomp's are in the tire business and (should) know these dimensions is are a low profile tire. Then why did he quote me $80? I paid my bill and started loaded the tires up. About half way through I noticed that one of my wheels were scratched. The Pomp's guy told me it was there before and that "they had pictures". I do not recall that damage to that wheel or any of the other ones. Then he picked out a s very small chip on one wheel about the size of a fly speck. I said that was there and I knew about it. You notice that Pomp's told me this after I paid my bill. When I got my wheels home I had to carefully clean off the adhesive left from the old stick-on wheel weights, yes Pomp's did not clean it off. I noticed they had gouged the paint, on all four wheels, apparently with a screwdriver or similar tool when they tore off the old weights. Although the damage is on the inside of the wheel, it can be plainly seen from looking from the front. And it is a lot bigger than a fly speck. Well, I have pictures of it too. If I knew that Pomp's were going to damage my property like this, I wish I would have taken the wheel weights off myself. One thing the guy claimed at Pomp's was that the person who mounted and balanced my wheels did all of their high end cars like Corvettes. Ha, I think he must have been confused, I would not trust this guy with a Chevette. Pomp's does not honor their price quotes and they are careless with customers property.

I had a 5+ hour drive home that same day and specifically requested that the wheels be balanced and the one bad tire be replaced. Initially, they declined to do what I requested. After speaking with my dad over the phone, they agreed to replace a tire. However, once I got home and we removed all four wheels, we discovered that the tire they replaced was not the tire that actually had the issue. They had also added a significant amount of wheel weights to the problematic wheel without explaining this to me. All four of my Michelin tires had been balanced within the past year and previously only had a small amount of weight on each wheel, so seeing that many weights added to a single wheel was concerning and appeared to indicate an issue with that tire. What was most frustrating was the lack of communication. The staff appeared to focus on some existing cosmetic damage to one of the rims and suggested that may have been the cause of the vibration. They also informed me that the problem would not be fully resolved, which left me wondering why the actual source of the vibration was not addressed. The steering wheel shake disappeared for roughly 350 miles after I left, then returned. I understand they were likely trying to help me get home safely, but I left feeling that my concerns were dismissed and that the root cause of the problem was never properly addressed. For an emergency situation where I was relying on their expertise, the communication and diagnosis were disappointing. I do want to add that the staff were very friendly, professional, and quick to help. Given that I was dealing with an unexpected issue while traveling, I appreciated that they got my vehicle into the shop right away and worked to get me back on the road as quickly as possible. My disappointment is not with how I was treated personally, but with the communication and the fact that the underlying issue was not properly identified or resolved.

There is never a good time for this to happen. The lady who answered the phone was friendly and efficient. I didn't kno exactly what was wrong and she said if I could get there in15min someone would b available. Got there asap and the place was busy. They fixed my tire right away. Didn't try to up sell, didn't add any weird addition charges and the price was more than fair. Soooo grateful there r still places like this around.

ALSO!!!!! needless to say, I had a full alignment, new tires and rotation and balancing done. I also had my tie rods replaced. Only to drive maybe a mile down the road and become stranded on the side of the road having to call for tow truck. We all know that having a toe is not very cheap. Had my car towed to a GM dealership and had my car fixed properly. So not only did I pay $500 for tow and then the $600 to have the work done on my car that I had a coupon for. I ended up spending another $900 on top of that to have everything that I just had done redone. he also didn't mention my pcv val was bad and my intercooler was shot my turbo was not working properly.....so he failed to run proper diagnosis on my car that in the long run cause me to pay even more money FAIL ROBERT

I arrived early to my appointment and was helped right away by Jonathan C (from my receipt) that after I explained my situation, inspected by flat, the space saver tire and showed me my options for replacing my tires. We chose the new tires, the time estimate was 1 hour and to come back at 12:30 and we went for lunch and the car was ready early and I needed new wipers and they called and asked if I would like them replaced and they did this for me. I asked if I need an appointment and was told no, they are taking walk ins. I said ok I will come in the afternoon. I arrived at 2:30 and was told that they were busy. I checked in and said that I would come back by 4 PM. I returned before 4 pm and my car was not done until nearly 6 pm. I am sure I was pushed back on the schedule several times. Terrible service. The free rotation is a joke. I will just do it myself from now on
