My daughter went in for tire rotation, instal and oil change and they took good care of her. The lady at the front desk was very helpful!

I arrived at the Walmart Auto Care Center on Buford Drive in Buford, Georgia, at approximately 3:15 p.m. for my scheduled oil change. After waiting in my vehicle for about five minutes without being acknowledged, I went inside to check in. Aaron, the Auto Care Center manager, checked me in and advised that the oil change would take approximately 45 minutes and that I would receive a text when it was completed. I shopped in the store for about an hour but never received a text. I returned to the Auto Care Center and waited another 30 minutes. After approximately 90 minutes, I asked Nick for an update. Another customer nearby mentioned that he had arrived around 4:00 or 4:30 p.m., well after I had checked in. Nick said the technicians were behind and claimed someone was working underneath my vehicle, although I could clearly see that no one was working on it. At approximately 5:25 p.m., the customer who arrived after me had already completed his service and left. Thirty minutes later, I asked for another update and was told that someone was just about to begin working on my vehicle. I was given a confusing explanation involving another employee completing the paperwork. When I asked why Nick had not checked on my vehicle earlier, he responded that it was not his job and that he had nothing to do with what happened in the garage. He took no accountability for the situation. As the employee communicating with customers and accepting payment, I believe he had a responsibility to investigate my concerns or involve someone who could assist. Because I felt that my concerns were being dismissed, I asked to speak with the Auto Care Center manager. I was told that he had already left for the day and would not return until Monday. I then requested to speak with the store manager but was told either that the phone line was busy or that the manager did not answer. No other manager was offered, and no meaningful effort appeared to be made to address or escalate my concerns. Eventually, I was told that my vehicle was almost finished, but Nick left the area, and I then had to continue waiting to be checked out. I am extremely disappointed with the poor communication, excessive wait time, lack of accountability, and the fact that a customer who arrived after me was serviced first. I was originally quoted 45 minutes, but the service took several hours without any proactive updates or a reasonable explanation. When I attempted to escalate the issue, I was unable to speak with any manager. Nothing about this experience was acceptable. This was my first time using Walmart for an oil change, and based on the treatment and service I received, it will also be my last. read more

I took my car to this place, and they broke the wheel protector. Minutes after picking it up, the protector fell off in the middle of the street. I'm thankful it wasn't a bigger issue since the tire didn't come off, but I wish they had been honest and told me they had broken it. Instead, they didn't say anything and claimed they left a note saying the protector was already missing, which is not true--it had never fallen off my car before. They also said the protector was already damaged when I brought it in, which isn't accurate. The person who helped me when I dropped off the car was very polite, but unfortunately, this was the problem I experienced. I don't recommend taking your car there read more

Never been a fan of Walmart anyway, so this wasn't a surprise. I had a friend's daughter and vehicle and told her I would help her out and get the oil changed. Well, the little one needed entertainment, and Walmart has toys for sale - so why not try to get the oil changed and keep the kid smiling at the same time. Walked into the auto center and saw the dismal faces of most Walmart shoppers - broken and without hope - I didn't let that dissuade me. I went to the counter and waited. No one came. Walked around looking. No one came. Took out my cell phone and called. No one came. Finally, I asked a guy sitting there miserably what was up. He perked up at the prospect of human interaction after God knows how long. He told me that they had told him the OIL CHANGE would be completed 2 hours prior, and they had just started to work on it. I ordered tires on Black Friday as they were on sale. First thing to happen is one of the tires got lost and came in 2 weeks later than the rest. (I know this is FedEx's fault for losing it but Walmart did nothing to help. I had to call FedEx to see what was happening.) I then have to wait another 5 days for them to have an open appointment. (I chose a later appointment 6 PM as I work until 5.) They call me the day of the appointment and state I must bring it in at 4 or reschedule because they are planning to leave early. I have my wife bring it at 4 to accommodate them. Y'all they did not get to my truck until 6:00PM. I am then told at 7:30 they are struggling with one of the lug nuts and are scared to turn it to hard of risk of snapping the stud. I tell them that's fine back the truck out and I will loosen it myself so they are not liable if it breaks. I then ask if I loosen it will they pull it back in and mount the new tire. They agree. I go out to do so and they don't even have the other three tires on yet. Finally at 8:30 they say we have the other 3 on but the mechanic has a family emergency and we won't be able to finish it tonight anyways please come back tomorrow. I take my truck home and the next day loosen the "overly tight lug nut" with no problem at all. I bring it back up to Walmart and they say we will get you in right away as I've already waited 4+ hours the previous day. It took them 2 hours to do 1 tire. That's over 6 hours to replace 4 tires. I ask if the installation for the last tire is on the house given the 6+ hours it took them but they refuse to comp me the $20. This place is a complete disaster. read more

Walmart Auto Care Centers - Walmart waiting section. - Tires Near Me - Buford, Georgia

Went in on Saturday 1/5/19 as I had a tire that would not hold air. After 3 hours(they were busy) I had to go back to the automotive center to check the status of my repair.. at this point the repair was( at least I was told completed) but I never received a call. They said the valve stem needed to be replace, which was not expensive and I paid and left. We did not go out over Sunday so I didn't really check on the tire. On Monday my wife had to take my son to his allergist and called me to report the tire light was on..(I reset it after leaving Walmart) we had the roadside assistance come out and he said the tire was a bit low on air, he aired it up and she headed home. Now this morning the light came back on and the tire had lost 8-10 psi overnight. She took it back into Walmart to be told there was a nail in the tire and we would need it replaced... when my wife asked how this was not found on Saturday the tech became rude... when the manager got involved they were rude as well... the repair took about an hour longer than they first advised and the service was horrible. I am not upset that I had to buy a tire, I am upset as I feel they were in such a rush they did not do a thorough job on the initial visit. Further more to be treated with such rude service especially from the management.... we will not be back and I would advise you to think twice as well. read more

Worst experience ever. Pulled up was told it would take 2.5 hours for a simple oil change. I said ok as this is Walmart. I can do some shopping and come back. 2.5 hours later I return since I had not received a phone call. I get to the register for them to tell me they canceled my request. My truck was too complicated for their techs. I drive a 2012 Ford truck. Nothing special. I was flabbergasted. Thought they were joking. I leave frustrated and will do it later. Get home to find parts under my car hanging down dragging on the road. They forgot to re attach something and actually left parts of the car off at their shop. We called the manager and they basically told us they didn't touch it and no one messed with it. They have yet to return our call. Very inexperienced techs that can't even do a simple oil change. read more
