I went to Discount Tire to replace a Continental Tire I had just bought 6 months ago at the Alpharetta Discount Tire location. They said it was on backorder and tried to sell me a $600 replacement. I felt like I was getting taken advantage of so I called a couple of other locations until I found Levi at the Cumming store. He went the extra mile and called Continental to find out that they did still make my tire (just under a different part number) and they had it in stock. He went above and beyond to find a replacement for me. I also want to give a shout out to Zak who told me that Continental had a warranty on my tire so I basically got it for free! I visited this location after having continual issues with another tire place I had done business with for years. As soon as I parked, someone came out, greeted me and reviewed my tires right there. They found a nail in my tire and repaired within 20 minutes for free. I was going to pay to rotate my tires and the technician convinced me I did not need this service for another 5,000 miles. Never saw this at my last tire place. Everyone was professional, friendly and very helpful. This is something that would have taken hours and cost me money before. I know no one is ever happy about buying tires but in this circumstance it was. Our tires are from Costco and are Bridgestone Run Flat. We developed a slow leak in one of the tires at Thanksgiving. We were on a 6 state road trip. Adding air several times a day was a pain in the $&@. We get home 10 days later, take the car to Costco and they tell us the tire is not available! Not orderable either. Costco suggests we buy the tire elsewhere and they will reimburse us. So. This leads us to Discount Tire on Marketplace in Cumming GA. I place a call explain that I am looking for one tire. I give them the model number and explain I need one tire and tire only and that they will not have to install it. Discount Tire places the order for me, takes a 25% deposit and tells me it should arrive by Tuesday via UPS. $261 for one fab tire. Just be prepared to wait for pickup. It's pretty busy there. If you call the number it goes to a call center who calls the location to verify that the tire is in. I recommend Discount Tire. read more

First time purchasing tires from Discount Tire after 2 friends recommended them I used their online tool to compare and select tires for my vehicle - quiet and comfort are big factors for me. They price matched a lower price for the tires from another retailer and they had the tires delivered and installed the next day (install was about 45min) I spoke with several people there and they all were superb. Dustin put the deal together and explained everything thoroughly I was most impressed with the install- there is a window so you can see what is going on. The supervisor was paying attention - overseeing the crew and wore a headset to keep up communication with the inside rep. Excellent experience all the way around!! We picked up a large screw in our tire. I called over that morning and they told me to go ahead and bring it in and that it would be a couple of hours. The staff was friendly and efficient. they took our SUV back pretty quickly and repaired it. I was in and out in only an hour (despite them being a little short handed due to a tech calling out sick). To top it off, the didn't even charge me for the repair! They told me it could be fixed and I did not need to purchase the tire they special ordered for me. They could have totally taken advantage of my lack of tire repair/ replacement knowledge. Cumming Georgia location. When picking up my truck noticed a center cap on rear wheel was missing. Went back into the store and told them cap was missing. Clerk immediately lied and said tech noted it was nissing when it came in. Completely false. Told him that was complete BS. FINALLY agreed to replace. Eventually noticed they put cap on front tire which was wrong. So it just proved they did the job incorrectly and tried to lie about it missing cap when it came in for service. This place is the bee's knees. I recently had new tires put on my car from Pep Boys and had constant shaking in the front at highway speeds. Nobody could fix it, even after three professional "balances". Took it here when I was in the area for work, and explained the situation, told them that it wouldn't hold a balance and that I thought tires were bad. I told them that I assumed they couldn't help me if the tires were bad because I had not purchased them from Discount Tire, so I just wanted a road force balance. They assured me that even though I had not purchased my tires there, they would replace them if they needed it, and they would get me straightened out and back on the road with my problem fixed. They tested the tires and found that the front two were a bit wobbly and they did the road force balance and switched the front tires to the back in hopes that would fix the problem. They told me if that didn't work, come right back. I drove around a little and it wasn't perfect (although 100 times better), so I came back less than 30 minutes later. They took the 50,000 mile tires I had purchased 30-days earlier from Pep Boys back, found that 2 were bad, and replaced all 4 with top-of-the-line 80,000 mile tires FOR FREE (remember, I hadn't even purchased the first set of tires there). I also needed a tire pressure monitor sensor and they have FAR AND AWAY the best price on them. I had gotten 4 quotes from the dealership, Pep Boys, Tires Plus, and my personal mechanic and it ranged from $120-190 for 1 TPMS. Discount Tire, which has their own OEM-built TPMS label, replaced it for $60. They didn't charge me for either of the two ROAD FORCE BALANCES (more expensive than regular balances). Assistant Manager Beurice (sp?) handled my service experience and he couldn't have been any better. This experience has made a believer in me. Discount Tire for life, y'all! read more

My recent experience with the services this location provides was disappointing. I brought my car in for a tire rotation and balance. I left it and went to have breakfast. When I came back and got my car, it rode, ok, a little bouncy but I figured it would smooth out. I didn't really drive it too much the following day. On the following Monday, I loaded up my and started my long trek back to Baton Rouge. On the entire 570 some odd miles, the tires rode awfully and were really a point of annoyance. My car did not ride this poorly BEFORE the service so I suspected one of my tires was out of balance. I took my vehicle to a Baton Rouge tire shop and I watched as they put each of my tires on the balancing machine. Good lord...3 of the 4 tires were severely out of balance. They said who ever did this balance job, didn't know what they were doing...and from my awful ride back, I would have to agree. My tires are now perfect. They ride absolutely smoothly...which makes me question Discount Tires previous service on my tires all together (I always used them because free rotate and balance with purchase of tires and I purchased my wheels and tires there). My vehicle has never ridden so smoothly...EVER...and i suspect it's because I paid for the service and the other tire shop did it CORRECTLY. I filled out a survey excoriating their awful service and I received an apologetic call from the manager of the store (Matt) saying he will refund me the money I put out to correct the problem...that was nice and deserves an additional star. I will not take him up on it though...I don't plan on returning to this location...as polite and nice as everyone is, politeness and niceties don't balance my tires. read more
