I went to AUTOZONE to replace the parts and they said they love getting business like mine and I was not the first they heard this story of advance ripping people off. Do NOT buy from advance auto parts! Autozone has never ONCE given me a problem ever in the 5 years I have used them. Will NEVER buy from advance auto ever again. They are a fraud.

I came to Auto Zone in Rochester for a battery after having gone to Advance Auto in New Brighton…read moreand them not having it. I was afraid of having to stop because I didn't know if my car was going to quit starting altogether since I was running on a jump. Got to Rochester and to my relief, they had the battery for my car. However, the young man who waited on me, named Logan, was not only rude and condescending, he acted like the customers, including myself, were bothering him and it was apparent he didn't want to be there. He installed my battery and when he was done, just waved me off dismissively. Fast forward to the next day and my car still wouldn't start. Took my car to two mechanics thinking something was wrong with my starter. The first wanted to charge me $300 for a starter but the 2nd mechanic found that the problem was that "Logan" didn't properly clean or connect the battery and it cost $20 to connect it properly. Better than $300, I guess, but $20 that shouldn't have been spent.

I bought parts for my suburban (hundreds of dollars) and within a few years the ball joints wore out. Their Moog sucks. I showed them the ball joints, the receipt and they basically told me to F off. The truck was never EVER beaten and almost always garage kept. I had to go buy a set of good upper control arms and ball joints from Amazon and have not had a problem with the replacement parts from Amazon at a fraction of the cost. Also, Buy at Autozone, their warranty is hands down beats the pants off of Advance crap place. Trust me, after Advance gave me a good screwing, I NEVER ONCE had a problem with Autozone up the street. Even Amazon parts are better.

The van was exempt for emissions so that goes to show you how much the van is driven. My friend says not to fix it. He'll fix it himself. They say come back in an hour and the van will be back together. We wait an hour and the van isn't back together. Their reason the mechanic never returned from lunch. So we wait again. Finally the van is back together. This time it is leaking brake fluid. Bad enough to leave a puddle under the van. When we lifted it the van must have shifted causing the brake line to leak is what they said. I heard good things about this place but nothing good came out of this experience.

when I came in I let them know one of my amps wasn't working and one was and which one to use. how…read morelong did it take to figure it which one to use? hours apparently. I was charged 180$ for a wiring kit when they used the wires already installed in my car and even took about 10 foot of my zero gauge I left long. my line out converter melted and when I found it the ground for the speakers were wired together and the powers were wired into the speaker. they ran a remote wire from my b pillar because apparently the line out converter wouldn't do it and it was ran like we were on a speed run. sloppy. I had 1/4 inch spacers under the blown amp on my amp rack and when they mounted the non blown amp they decided 3/4 of the risers was good enough on a bottom mounted fan amp...... the tune it was tuned at was clipping at the rcas before the amp which is awesome. they installed new tweeters and I guess it's a custom to break off each and every clip that the oem speaker covers had for good measure. wouldn't wanna resell those to make my 700$ back from this experience no not at all. the ground coming off my line out converter was cut twice and butt connectored back together for god knows what reason because a 3' run of 18 gauge can't be more than 1$. genuinely just a ridiculous experience lucky my car didn't burn up literally

Although an overhead system wasn't installable they did head rests for all 3 rows and linked them all and made the audio play through the vans sound system. This took some "special rigging" on their parts because these players are not normally installed in this manner. Jason had me bring my vehicle back the next day and made it work! This is exactly what I wanted and needed for my family when we take trips, and they did it right before I left for my vacation!
