Came here for an oil change appt for 3:30. Got there at 3 and checked in to maybe see if I could get in and done early. My car wasn't in service until 4:10 and my car wasn't ready until 5:00. It said while I was making my appt that it would take at most an hour.... I was also waiting with a gentleman that had said he'd been there for FOUR hours to get his front two tires mounted. The people at the auto center are poorly trained. They seemed to have trouble trying to check me in for my tire replacement that I've purchased and paid on their website. I had an appointment at 1pm. I got there at 12:50 for my appointment. The guy took over 20 minutes to check my car in. Besides the manager, the other guys were not friendly and were kinda snappy. With all the negative reviews, I hope they replaced my tires correctly. It's sad that I have to be worried if my tires will be replaced correctly. The worst part of it all is when my car was finally finished, while I was waiting for it, no one cared to tell me that it was done. I had to go ask a couple different guys if my car was ready. This has been a great place for me and my husband to come to. While they all do well, Michael is always so helpful and kind. We've recently had to take both of our cars at different times for oil changes, tire needs and even replacement of rear and front lights. They are always courteous and helpful, and will even get you in last minute if they can. Probably the only thing I wish was better is, it's hard to reach someone on the phone or in the reception area for the auto center...but other than that we appreciate service they offer. read more

I ordered contacts from the vision center and I was supposed to get them by mail. I never received them. I went to talk to the employees and they didn't take responsibility. The walmart vision center employee blamed it on the mail carriers. Mail carriers blamed it on walmart. Therefore nobody wanted responsibility and I never got refunded or replaced. Believe me when I say that coming to this location is not worth it. Take your business somewhere else!!! Thankfully I get them at COSTCO, and everything's been great. this is about lonnnng wait time and they do not know how to balance tires, they did not text me when my tires were ready for pick up and nobody answers the phone at auto care nor the store operator!! i called ten times over 6 hours and let it ring for 20 minutes every time!! nobody answers the calls!! finally drove to the store and auto care tech said she was done half hour after i dropped off my wheels and left!! full story i tried to save a few dollars and ordered two tires on line, carried my loose wheels in on a cart to save their time. arrived 20 minutes before my appt. waited 15 minutes trying to get someone's attention! finally someone took my order and handed me a claim check, said they will text me when my job is done. i left to go to work. no text all day, for 6 hours! i called 10x rang 20 minutes each time. finally having no choice, drove at risk to store and she said my job had been done hours ago! she said it eas very hard to balance my tires! she stuck tons of weights on the front polished faces of my slot polished aluminum wheels!! they look like crap!! next day, took wheels to another walmart auto and waited an hour for them to balance them. the techs pointed and laughed at all the weights on my wheels! they rebalanced both tires properly in 5 minutes - but i waited 1.5 hours for something that takes 5 minutes and was their fault for balancing them wrong at another store! how can walmart auto stay in business?? read more

They have lost a few workers in the auto center and it shows. I used to get my oil changed here as the price was good. However, the skeleton crew they have working here now doesn't understand good customer service and how to prioritize anything. They will tell you it's an hour to get an oil change and it will be closer to 2 hours before your car is even taken in the bay. Any tire service seems to trump all else. They really need to have a crew for oil changes, batteries and a separate crew and wait time for tires. Even though their prices are cheaper my time is worth so much more. read more

Made my 80 year old mother wait 2 1/2 hours just to get her front two tires mounted. That's bad if she were a walk-in. BUT SHE HAD AN APPOINTMENT! Terrible customer service! What's worse is that I ordered 4 tires and had them delivered to the store to get mounted on my BMW X5M. Made an appointment and drove in. But when I get there they can't service me because their machine can't mount my size of tires, that were ordered on their website! They're so low on staff they should honestly cut their open days down to 3/week. Seriously bad management and the manager should be fired. read more

This is one of the best Walmart auto centers around hands down. I went in this afternoon for a headlight installation and decided to go for a headlight restoration at the same time. I'm so glad I did Alfredo one of the service technicians there did an absolutely amazing job and I wish I would've taken some before pictures because these really look brand new and I'm so happy with the result. Thank you so much to Oscar the manager, and everyone else who helps me keep my car on the road. These guys know their stuff! Dropped my car off at 10:00 (they open at 10 now) for a full oil change today. Was told it would take about an hour because there was a couple cars ahead of me-I say fine. Take walk to a target across the street to do some shopping and kill some time. I'm gone for at least an hour and 15 min. I decide to walk to back to Walmart and I see my car STILL parked in the same spot I left it in. I'm a little annoyed, but think to myself "okay I'll just kill sometime at Walmart." An HOUR and some passes by and still nothing. By then it's about 12:30-I walked out again to see if my car is still there before I ask for my keys-to my surprise it's STILL PARKED IN THE SAME SPOT. By now I'm pretty pissed and decide to ask for my keys back to leave. The technician just says "oh I'm sorry were short staffed." NEVER AGAIN, but what can I expect? Had an appointment for an oil change. Waited for 15 minutes no one there to check me in. Went inside to let them know I've been waiting. Still no one helped me. 3 customers walked up and started complaining to the techs. Finally Anthony walks right past me didn't say a word. Walked over to the parking lot and spoke to another customer that came after me. I waited for 40 minutes in the heat and no one acknowledged me at all. The technicians looked stressed and overbooked. Update: I cannot believe their incompetence! How do you have a customer waiting over an hour from 6:58 AM (yes I woke up early and before work for this cuz it's the only time I have left to do it) until 8:02 just to tell me they can't change my headlights because they "don't know how"??!!!!! Yes he literally said he doesn't know how because my bumper has a loose screw. There were like 5-6 employees in the auto shop too. They had me pick out the headlights I wanted and everything. A complete waste of time. And then as I was making my complaint, I said " I don't understand how can you have somebody waiting this long just to tell me you can't do a service" I was interrupted in the middle of my sentence by one of the employees, told to shush and "Okay ma'am!" with loud and rude hand gestures shooing me away. I asked for the manager and they told me to come back at 3pm. They stop taking cars around then. how do they not have a manager on site the entire time they're working on cars? The employees are literally working blindly on your car with almost no car experience if they can't even change a headlight. Went in to purchase tires. Online it showed multiple tires from different brands available for my car. When I get there I'm told every single one is out of stock and I have to order them online. Would give 0* for the stocking system this location uses. Never had an issue with another Walmart saying they have tires or auto parts and then they're out when I get there. read more

Walmart Auto Center Foothill Ranch has always been understaffed and unorganized. The have a Lube pit that holds two cars yet they only do one car at a time and it takes about 45 minutes per car. The 2 bays dedicated to tire service can hold 4 cars but they do one car at a time using only one bay. The other sits there unused with no cars being worked on. God forbid you ask for an oil change and tire rotation. These guys change your oil then go park your car for an hour while they work on the one car there for tires. Why are there 3 spots open in the tire bays? Do better Walmart! read more

Every time I come this store, to do Seth on my car, which is always about oil change or tire issues, I should spent a lot of time, at least 3 hours waiting for only an oil change. Horrible. Surprising I see that this store has been selected as the STOR OF THE YEAR 2021 by Walmart. I know that the staff are very patient and polite with a professional social smile, but this a Walmart Store, not hotel lobby to be needed social smile. I bought tires from Walmart.com and had them delivered to the Foothill Ranch location. I received an email a day before my appointment that the tires have been delivered. I had a 2:00 p.m. appointment on a weekday. I called around 10:00 a.m. to make sure that the tires were delivered. The guy manning the phone told me that the tires were there. I showed up at 1:55 p.m. and there were two cars getting their tires changed in the shop. 20 minutes after I had checked in, I was informed that they can't find my tires. The guy who earlier told me over the phone that the tires were there, flatly refused that he ever talked to me. It took them another 40 minutes to finally find my tires. After that the waiting game started. around 3:15 p.m. they pulled my car to the bay and started taking the wheels off. They had no idea how to balance or mount the tires. Around 5 p.m. they informed me that one of my rims was bad and the tire bead was not setting on it. I told them that there was nothing wrong with my rims. It took them an hour to balance my last tire. Overall it took them 5 hours to get the job done!! And that was after a confirmed 2 p.m. appointment. I was there till 7 p.m. During all that time, I was in the waiting room and saw the crew service only 2 cars. Someone was there screaming their head off as they just wanted their wipers changed and it took them over an hour to do so. The manager would take random breaks and the staff will just tell various customers that he was not in. Many people were waiting up to 4 hours or more to get simple jobs done. One associate who was working the desk told me that one of the guys working on the tires had never worked on any car before and that was the 2nd car that he has ever touched in his life! Please take your cars somewhere else. By the way they also did not know how to reset the TPMS light. The worst tire shop crew I have ever seen in my life!! read more

I bought tires from them last week but didn't have them put on at the time. I came back today to have them put on. They said it will be be two hours and they will call or text me when it is ready. Two hours is up and did not hear anything. I went up to the counter to check. The guy asked if I had gotten a text and I said no. I walked over to see if my truck was still being worked. It was not so I assumed it was ready. The guy said at the counter that it wasn't ready yet. In reality they hadn't even started it. Two hours wasted and I didn't even get an apology. I ordered my tire online from Walmart and they gave me the option of making appointment at tire center for installation. They allocated 1 hour for 1 tire installation and this time was resereved for me. I arrived on time and checked in and was told car would be ready in 40 minutes. I checked back after 1 hour and the car was still sitting outside. I asked the person who checked me in and he said he doesn't know what happened and referred me to manager. I spoke to manager and he didn't know anything about the appoint time. After arguing for half an hour finally they started working on the car. I am not sure why Walmart is offering appointment times when their tire centers have no clue how to manage it. read more

Took my car in at 4 pm on a Sunday because I had just gotten off work and I needed an oil change. Waited a few minutes before being approached and told that they wouldn't be able to work on my car because they were closing. Their hours are 7am to 7pm and there were no cars in line, so I asked to speak with a manager. The manager tried to explain that once they do a certain amount of cars they close up shop, to which I replied that they technically could work on my car but since they met their quota they won't. He tentatively said no, and that I could come back tomorrow and they would get my car right in. I came in the next day at 11 and again there were no cars waiting. Waited 15 minutes to be approached until I decided to go inside. The person working the counter said my oil change would take 3 to 4 hours accounting for lunches. How this Walmart was voted best store is beyond me. read more

This Auto Center is so unorganized and understaffed. After spending the previous day at another Walmart Auto Service where I arrived at the opening hour. The Laguna Niguel Autos service had me wait for over two hours and they still hadn't started working on my Oil and Lube job. I had an appointment so I left but they told me to get there before they opened where I could be first and get out at reasonable time. So, this time I head to the Foothill Ranch Auto Service and arrive 25 minutes before they opened @ 7 am and was the first car in line. They open their doors 10 minutes late and I was told to move my car out of line because they check in customers inside. They had one mechanic there to do tires and lube jobs and they told me I was number 2 in line. After telling them my experience at the other store I asked how long it would take for them to perform an Oil and Lube job. Their reply was 1 1/2 hours before they could start. Unbelievable how mismanaged this operation is. Look at all the other 1 star rating to see how incompetent these guys are. Customers beware!!!! read more

Ordering tires online on walmart.com and getting them mounted was a painless experience for me. Ordered a set of Sumitomo All seasons online at an excellent price and waited about 2-3 days them them to show up at the store. Once they arrive, you have 7 days to pickup /install before they refund your money. No way to set appointments, so I picked one of the less busier days (August 6th 2018, which was a Monday) to get them mounted. This may have contributed to the positive experience since I heard weekends can be chaotic there. Showed up at the auto center a little after 10am , walked in the side entrance, had them scan my order barcode. and handled over the keys. Total time was about 1 hour 45 minutes to balance and mount 4 tires. No problem, plenty to see at Walmart. They even allowed me to recycle an extra tire I had sitting around the garage, and take in some used motor oil I had to be recycled. I was expecting the worst after reading some of the other reviews but was pleasantly surprised. read more

Took my car for fully synthetic mobil 1 oil Change, mentioned twice that I want mobil 1, a few minutes later caught the technician trying to put cheap/regular castrol. shouted several times to finally get him to acknowledge me, told him, the counter person and the manager about this. They were all very nonchalant about it. That is called STEALing! Charge for fully synthetic and use regular oil which would have resulted in engine failure..Unbelievable!! read more

Went to see if they could change a tire and a headlight. I called back after two hours of not hearing back from them, only for them to tell me they didn't do anything. They said they couldn't change the headlight or the tire because it didn't come from their store. They said it was a liability issue. Prices here aren't any cheaper than anywhere else either. I wanted my car's oil changed. When I showed up to pay, I checked the level and it was overfilled. Long story short, Justin was nice made sure all was perfect for us and revealed it wasn't overfilled just had been resting at a slant! Giving this branch a 5 star because they changed the battery of my car on short notice. I was in and out in 20 minutes. Also, I think I arrived an hour before closing. My car just needed a new one because it's not holding a charge anymore. It kept up in the last 3 days but on the 4th day I felt like it needs to be changed I forgot to ask the name of who assisted me but I remember him being a Filipino. I know there's only 2, one works in the morning and the other one works at night. The one who works at night is what I was talking about. I heard the morning person is great too. I was gonna tip for good service but he refused so I just want to get it out there. Thank you so so much! The guys behind the counter is very accommodating too. I wish I asked their names. Sorry I am not trying to offend or be a racist the guys I am referring to were a big white guy and the other one is humorous Persian guy.
