I can't speak to the negative reviews, but I just had to share an amazing, life-affirming experience that I had here just yesterday. It was a hot Sunday in July. Near the end of an interstate road trip, my tire sidewall popped as I was driving on the highway with my 2 kids and wife inside the car. We made it to the Veteran Blvd. off-ramp and pulled over. My spare's rim wasn't fitting on the wheel well as the rim was not made for the vehicle. It was Sunday afternoon, so everything was closed. No tires or tire service to be found. So I prayed and limped the car over to Walmart. Initially, I was told that they were totally booked with prior appointments for the day. I asked again about just getting a new tire put on. Despite it being late in the day, Oscar M. and Daniel went completely out of their way to help us, and I was so very touched. I forgot to tip them in my haste, but I submitted some feedback to Wal-Mart and hope that they get some recognition for going above and beyond, staying late to help a family in need. They really didn't need to go so far out of their way late afternoon on a Sunday, but they absolutely did and I will never forget it. My wife, kids, and I still had an hour and a half to go on our road trip and we would have had to stay at a hotel that night. Yesterday morning I discovered that my tire was low and I had just enough air in it to go to Walmart Auto Center. The employees there were great. Turns out I had a nail in my tire that they patched. I also needed a blinker light which they replaced. Omar and the other employees were very professional. I'm so glad that Walmart Auto Center was open at 7:30 in the morning on a Sunday. read more

Had the oil changed on my Jeep yesterday without appointment. Was met with service advisor promptly. He was friendly and knowledgeable. I went there May 1, 2025. I checked my car in at 2:15. I was told about an hour and half to 2 hours to wait. No problem. Came back at almost 2 hours. Saw no one at register and a line of about 10 people. A woman appeared by tires said someone should be coming. A few mechanics came and went said same to longer line now of customers. Finally an older man over 60 at least comes in white polo shirt, no badge. A couple who stood first said nothing. An older woman said finally someone can help us. The man behind counter got upset with customer saying loudly, " I just got here ok?" I thought that's not the customers fault. Where's freaking management? I've never seen that poor of service. Other customers were getting agitated asking where the help is at? Finally the line dies down and I asked man in white polo shirt that it's been past 2 hours if they were gonna get to my car. He asked if I was a walk in? I said over 2 hours ago. He smiled in a rude way saying well the mechanic lied to you. He said an appointment just bumped you so you're looking at 2 and a half more hours to wait? I said," What?" I said, "No, I'm not waiting 5 hours for an oil change." I said have my car taken out and I'll go to jiffy lube. He raced out to get me out. At that time a mechanic told him I'm next and there is no appointments. An older white mechanic who backed in a truck ahead of me ignored me when I asked him what he was doing. The other mechanic yelled at the cashier saying let my car get changed oil asap. He apologized. Meanwhile the cashier walks back in at the counter saying," What kind of hell did you put me in today?" Referring to the long line of customers? I thought wow we are the problem. I asked the mechanic why they have this cashier here as he's so rude and cynical? He said he's been here 14 years and he's always like this? Walmart will not be seeing me come back. Horrible customer service experience! The employee was rude and unhelpful. I went to return an unopened car chains and according to him "I was not allowed to do it", he told me he had signs in front saying there was not returns on it. Of course I checked it because in the store where I purchased there was not signs. He eventually had a few signs that someone one just wrote down on word, printed, laminated and hanged (of course not something that Walmart produced for all the stores). So I had to drive to the actual store where I originally purchased and I had no issues returning the item. The services provided was helpful. The lady that helped me out was nice and pleasant. However, the part gives this review a two star is the long wait time. I been here since 9:30am for new tiers installation. I understand that since I don't have an appointment the wait time maybe some were between one to 3 hours. But seriously do they have only one guy working on putting tiers on the car because at 12:30 I come back to check the status of my car and it still is waiting to be service. I'm told another 3 hour wait. 6 hours wait is ridiculous. People or management team of the Automotive Services area, you need to have more than one guy work on tiers. You need to have these guys on separate lunch break time so that there is no delay or extended waiting time. I shouldn't of gone somewhere else. The tiers maybe affordable and the service cost cheaper but the wait time is not worth it!!! read more

Finally get out and speak to an employee who says to park in front on the bay and someone will help you. Again wait, some finally shows up. Finally get written up, and they tell me hour and half. Whew...the Walmart Auto Service Center on Herndon & Ingram. Where do I start? When I pulled in, there was a gentleman who directed me to pull my car in the left lane after he pulled the car up that was before me. I asked him to confirm: hey do you want me to pull in this lane? He replied (in an annoyed tone): yes! This lane, just give me a min to move this car! I'm thinking, hey man I'm not rushing you, I just wanted to make sure I was doing the right thing. I felt a lil unsure because it was my first time there and dealing with this dude didn't make it any better. The lady at the counter wasn't much better. I actually greeted her: Good morning, I'm supposed to sign some paper work. She replied: yes. And handed me the paper. No real interaction and barely made eye contact. You can tell they are just happy to herd you through like cattle. The vibe was grim to say the least. Now onto the waiting area. (Smh) I had to be one of the filthiest I have ever been in. And I got there at 10:30a. The fact that it is an auto service center is no excuse. I normally go to jiffy lube and it is immaculate every time. Given by this appearance at this wall mart, the standards are very very low. I won't go back and if you care about good service, friendly employees and a clean environment you shouldn't either! 1 star and that's being generous. Waited 2 hours for an oil.change. they told me that it was going to be a 1.5hr work. Agreed. Came back to the front. They said they didn't do anything because they didn't have the right filter in stock. They waited 2 hrs and I had to play detective for them to give me this information. I wasted 2 hrs of my day. I tried to tell them that my car hasn't moved in 3 hours and all I got from the worker behind the counter was a laugh and a comment that the car in front of me had been waiting alot longer (even though we got here at the same time. ) I was told that they're missing people (which I was told the last 2 times I came.) I swear, "Never again." Attention, Wal-Mart shoppers, Evil is being broken in the Tire and Lube department... Ok...first, Evil doesn't necessarily think automotive when it comes to lube...but that's just Evil. Now, I tried getting new tires on the evilmobile here a few days ago. I only gave 1 star, but after shopping around and trying other tire places, I've seen the light and it says Wal-Mart. Matt the manager told me then that they had good prices on tires...and they do. He told me they'd have the tires by the end of the week...and they did. I went in on a busy Saturday afternoon. Matt said it would take 90 minutes to get the tires on the evilmobile...and it only took 45 minutes...and I got to hear on the in-store PA... Went in for an oil change (it's about $31 for regular oil change and $36 for high mileage cars oil change and $45 for synthetic oil change). They use Castrol GTX High Mileage oil for the high-mileage oil change. The wait time was 1 hour, 45 minutes which I thought was kind of long. The attendant was professional and friendly. Everybody else looked like walking zombies. They messed up on the paperwork (didn't do the fuel cleaning, but still charged me for it), but I got that portion of the money back with no problem. I've read some horror stories on the Internet about Wal-Mart, and well, I'm not going back again (even Speedy is apparently better than Wal-Mart). Also heard from a couple friends who had problems with Wal-Mart as well. If they ruin a car, good luck getting reimbursement or acknowledgement that they did the damage (according to what I've read and heard). I'm going to only go to more reputable places for oil changes from now on. They use very cheap oil filter (but you have option to buy a brand-name filter and they will install it). read more

Lied about the oil pan being broken. Gave us a heart attack, thinking we had to pay over 700 dollars when the car was fine to do an oil change and when we had another mechanic do the oil change free was told nothing was wrong with the car. Nothing but a bad experience!!!! Went there to get my two front tires changed, not just they took 2 hours to do that, but they end up replacing the wrong tires, after I had clearly specified to them. It was dark, I didn't check because I trusted them, but the next day I found their mistake. I called but management is pretty good at making nonsense excuses, and not taking responsibility. It took me 50mins on the phone talking to several people, repeating my story over and over, and no good answers or apologies. I took it back and that person that switched the tires was very polite but he told me that because of the wore off tires he assumed and changed the back tires.... hey, so they go with what they think without letting the customer know, so what customers want don't count? Service here is usually quicker, but today was so slow! When I pull in for an oil change, someone usually comes out to my car and takes my keys, then I pick up and pay when they are done. Today they had people coming inside to get started with the oil change but no one outside saying go inside and tell them what you want. I waited out there for 20 minutes for nothing. I get inside and there is a line backed up so far it was ridiculous. Only one cash register open for oil changes and no workers in sight. Come on, Walmart...get your act together! read more

She was super friendly and really helped us out when we were in a jam. There were several complications with getting the tire on (my car is pretty messed up) but Tina and all the workers really did their best to help me out of a bad spot and I am forever grateful!!! 10/10 would recommend this Walmart read more

I have frequented this particular location for oil changes for over a year and have decent service on most occasions. After today I won't be going back. For the beginning I was quoted the wrong wait time (1hr 15mins - which seems to be the standard time frame they give everyone as I heard them quote another couple the exact time when I returned to retrieve my car) and even pushed for a REALISTIC time frame because I had an appointment in about two and half hours from that point in time. After shopping around for the approx time given to me, I returned only to be told that my car would take another hour. After some back and forth between my friend, myself and the clerk, we opted to leave. I got my keys and a technician by the name of Ronnie proceeded to argue with me in the garage I'm front of several other workers about how my car had only been there for 45 mins and asked me how long I'd been waiting to which I answered that I'd already been there for over an hour. We actually went back and forth and he continued to chastise me publicly for being upset that service was taking as long as it was. Needless to say, I spoke with a manager regarding the matter and received an apology. This really did nothing to rectify the situation but did offer some reassurance that perhaps the rude tech would be spoken to. TL;DR - - DON'T GO HERE. Spend the extra money on a lube place if only for the professional service. read more
