This is, for me, a one or five star rating, no middle rating seems appropriate. I wasn't treated all that well, but my expectations weren't high, and it wasn't mean, just pretty cold and they couldn't care less. They got my tires and put them on my vehicle. No problem getting it all done. However...I didn't feel like they were perfectly balanced. It was okay, but not perfect; imperfect balance and alignment will ruin tires faster than normal. A few weeks later, had routine maintenance on my car at a dealer, and asked them to check the balance. What I got back was much better from the dealer. Proves to me that this Walmart Auto Center didn't do a proper job. read more

I called Friday afternoon asking about getting 3 tires dismounted. off the vehicle roll in tires to just dismount. they told me just drop them off and we will get to them. Saturday afternoon I go to drop them off. I'm asked if I have an appointment....no the women yesterday told me to drop them off. was told they would ask the techs if they can get to them. 3 techs 1 car, they don't have time for walk ins. you have 3 techs tire kicking a vehicle and cant take to 20 minutes to dismount 3 tires. aside from waiting for anyone to show up to the desk, what an absolute joke. LAZY. it's the simple things that show the quality of work you'd expect. I wouldn't ever let these idiots touch a vehicle. read more

I arrived shortly after the automotive center arrived. This was the only automotive shop that could be reached without causing rim damage. Though the automotive center was open, the mechanics did not begin work until 9:00 am. In the meantime, the front desk attendant was available and checking in the customers. He asked for the location of the object in my tire. It appeared to be within the tread. When he looked at it, he felt pretty confident that it was in the sidewall, which would render it irreparable. Not long after 9:00 am, the mechanic looked at the tire confirming the same. The attendant returned with the update and offered three similar tire options but none was the like the ones on my car. They checked to see if they might by chance have the exact tire. I decided that I did not want a mismatched tire, so I asked if the tire could be filled enough to get me safely to another shop. She agreed. I offered to pay something for the kind gesture but I was told that there would be no charge. I was pleased with the outcome. read more

The auto center was in a convenient location. Even if your wait takes longer than expected, you have restaurants, stores and a mall within walking distance. Hubby called ahead to ask relevant questions & provide details about replacing two tires (brand, size, our car info). The employees dealing with our tires were nice. They were accommodating us with their 4pm closing time. Then all of the information provided to the employee seemed forgotten. There was briefly a question if they had the tires in stock and every question answered was being asked again. It worked out. They found the tires and put them on the car. Wal-Mart has a weird way of forcing an employee to take an hour for lunch. Your id won't work for that hour, which means you can't process a payment, forcing the customer to wait. Someone needs to sort that issue out. Our problems were mostly communication glitches. Now we have two new tires. read more

They were amazing! They fit me in without an appointment just because I was desperate and in a really tough spot. They were so friendly and nice. I couldn't be more thankful! They were absolute lifesavers today! I wouldn't have been able to work today or tomorrow without them! They went above and beyond to help me out when they didn't have to. Went to Arundel Mills, Walmart Auto Care for an oil change. Purchased the Valvoline synthetic oil change for $57. I was told the oil change would take about 45 minutes. I shopped in the store for about an hour and went to pick up my car. I was told they were trying to get in touch with me because they don't have the valvoline oil. I was told they could use their regular synthetic oil and instead of their $58.88 price, they would charge me the $57 price. I said ok. While waiting, I checked the shelves where they sell oil and there was plenty of Valvoline oil. When I asked why they didn't use the oil from the shelf, I was told they don't use that's oil, they use it from a different container. If you promise your customer Valvoline oil then give them Valvoline oil. (In years past, the service center would have taken the oil off the shelf.) The person serving my car had to be their LEAST expedient worker. My car sat for quite a while with no one working on it. When I finally got my car, they charged me $58.88. They did not update the paperwork to reflect the different oil, but they did change the price to $58.88. Only $1.88 difference but it's the principle. When I commented on the price the cashier said well yeah we gave you the other oil and it's $58.88. I waited over 2 hours for a 45 minute oil change, and when I checked the sticker that reflects the next oil change, it's for 3,000 miles. Synthetic oil is good for at least 5,000 miles. At this point I'm not even sure they put synthetic oil in my car. Bottom line for $1.88, over 2 hours of my time, and no confidence in the work performed, Walmart has lost a customer in their auto center. read more

I set an appointment a week out before my service (tire replacement) and got a call the morning of to come in 2 hours earlier because they weren't sure if they could take me at 4pm because they were short staffed. This worked for me so I arrive at 2pm checkin and run to the nail salon to kill time only to come back and my car hasn't been touched. Confused I ask the manager what was up and his response was I've been short staffed all week... Respectfully, WHY WOULD YALL CALL ME IN EARLY IF NO ONE WAS READY TO WORK ON MY VEHICLE?!?! So here I am time wasted and they're starting on my truck at my original appointment time of 4pm. read more

I can't say enough good things about the service I received here this afternoon. Had a bolt the size of a quarter lodged into my tire on a long road trip from FL to NJ. went to Walmart tire center to replace 4 tires took 3 hours and been told tire pressure sensor broke and have to pay extra to install it, but all tire pressure sensor was check good before taking it to walmart. when I pick up the car and asked for the broken tire pressure sensor was newly broken, looks like they broke it when they installing the tire. one more thing happened while I was waiting to pick up my car is , I heard one it the worker in the tire center telling another customer that her tire pressure sensor was broke too and need to be replace for 28 dollars. can not understand how the sensor broke that easily, the sensor looks very strong and it me kind off stock to the rink. and such a co incident, there are so many other customers tire sensor got broke in a day. read more

So I really don't like Walmart, I hardly ever shop there. I can't tell you the last time I ever purchased anything from Walmart but I have to give a huge shout out to the Auto manager Guy and salesperson Dawn! I came on an extremely busy Sunday, phones were ringing non stop. Customers standing in line. Manager Guy was multi tasking without seeming stressed. He was very kind to each customer. Even those of us who know nothing about cars. He stayed late to make sure each car was serviced correctly. I understand being a Walmart manager is a thankless job but he went above and beyond. I'll definitely bring my car back to Arundel Mills Walmart Auto for tires! read more

I should have read the SIX reviews that got posted first before going. Shame on me. Fun fact. Did you now that it's faster for you to fly from DC to Atlanta and travel a distance of 547 miles than it is to get walmart to mount and balance 4 tires? Really. No, I didn't mount commercial tires for a 18 wheeler. I had them mount FOUR tires. Not 4000, not 400, not 40. And, I was the first customer in line on a Saturday (I arrived 30 minutes before opening) and didn't get my car until 10:00 a.m. To mount 4 tires. The list of pissed off customer behinds me is easy proof. They sat there like pissed off Venezuelans hunting supermarkets for basic staples. I don't know why the walmart employees are notoriously slow workers because if you are the 10th car in line be ready to be there from 7 a.m. to about noon. Don't believe me. Go there and try. So, Walmart, no thanks. Not ever. Again. I just lost 2.5 hours of my life on something that should take 30 to 45 minutes, assuming I rotated the tires blind in the middle of a storm, outside of my garage. read more

I don't know where to start here. So I'll just state the facts.: Called Walmart tire Thursday at 1 pm to see if I could set up an appointment to replace two tires. They said I could stop by after work.. Got there at 4:45 pm. Tech says they are done for the day... Try again tomorrow... Friday. Same. Saturday same. Today.. Called them again to see if they are busy... They said stop by.. No appointments needed. Got here at 2:15. The counter girl gave me a sticker printout... And was told they would call me. Went around shopping... Came back to check at 3:30. Then they ask if the tire was bought from Walmart? I told them it was bought online. They said they will see if they can install. Waited 5 pm I check at the counter because I see that they have returned the vehicle at the parking space. The counter guy tells me that they cannot do it anyway... My key was sitting in that country for more than half an hour and they were not going to call me to tell me a status. I wouldn't even know anything unless I checked. I asked to speak with the manager and spoke with an assistant manager who did not even apologize or could not explain why... I should have between tipped by an elderly customer that looked like he was about to have a heart attack because they lost his key with the transponder. So... I am not very happy... My suggestion. Went to buy tires for my truck and the mgr Lloyd told my wife to sit in the car and he would be right out 25 mins later my wife went back into the store to ask if he remembered we was waiting for him . He told her that he did t say he was coming out that he said for her to come back in . I am a disabled vet and recently had surgery to my spine so I had to sit in the car. He came out to the car with an attitude as if he should had called in. I questioned him about having a tread depth gauge and I explained to him that I also needed a tire to get repaired he got so irritated with me asking questions that he in turned told me to chill out I in turned told him that I was a mechanic and he called me a dick head and said lif I was a mechanic to fix it myself and that he was refusing me tire svc and walked off as if this is everyday routine. Like his name was on the building. I called customer relations and nothing was done swept under the rug will definitely be doing business at another facility. As a manager you are suppose to lead by example cause there's always someone watching which causes a on going bad behavior that Walmart refuses to break and get in order looks like it needs to have a overhaul from higher up to make customers back top priority. read more

I ordered 4 tires online at what I thought was a great deal and convenient, as I could get them shipped to the nearest Walmart & have the tires installed at the Walmart Auto Center as advertised online, it would be a one stop shop...so I thought! As soon as I walked into the Arundel Mills, Maryland Walmart Auto center @8:45am, the auto tech says, "its a 2 hour wait", to deter me from staying to get service. I decided to come back around 11am. I called before going to make sure its ok and was told to come by 1:30 pm or they may not be able to get my car today. I checked in at 11:40 am for 4 tires to be installed and to replace a headlight bulb. The bay manager told the service desk agent he couldn't replaced the headlight bulb because the socket is not within reach (not true, there is a clear wide opening to do so, the bumper nor any parts need to be removed to replace the bulb). I began to realize once again they are trying to deter me from getting service. As I wait more than an hour for the 4 tire install, I notice the staff turning customers away by quoting long waits time, the mechanics disappearing frequently, and the many services offered on the service menu being denied to customers. At the 1 hour and 30 minutes wait mark, I'm told; the tires I purchased ar Walmart.com could not be installed because the auto center did not have the weights to do the job. I refused to let them waste my time and I demanded they do the work they agreed to do over an hour ago. The bay manager agreed to the tire install and flat out said, we're not doing no headlight bulb change (fine). I was asked to sign a service order with a 1:10 pm time stamp (which was altered by staff following after I signed) stating I understand the tire life may be shortened without the weights etc. I asked how much longer will I have to wait, the bay manager says he's bringing my car in now. More time passes, I notice the bay manager and the other mechanic disappears again and the bay area is completely empty, no cars being serviced, not mine and not anyone's. They eventually resurface and see me watching them, now at the 2 hour and 40 minutes mark the mechanic tells me he can't install my tires because one of my lug nuts won't come out and he suggested after me waiting there for 2 hours and 40 minutes I take my car to a gas station around the corner to have the tires installed. My time was wasted by the Walmart Auto Center employee and bay manager for no other reason than them not wanting to do the work and comfortability repeatedly turning customers away to avoid work as they have done this numerous times as other customers share the same experience on google and yelp. Walmart has failed to provide service as advertised and has failed to fix this issue! Even the Auto Service manager was unempathetic, when I spoke with him which I quickly stopped...he says you can't believe what you read online, I believe it because I also experienced it! It's obvious there is no accountability and effort even on management level to listen to their customers and make changes to improve the customer's experience and protect Walmart's brand and reputation. read more

Claim missing 2 rear Center caps after purchasing 4 new tires! I was in store why wait until "after" and only writing in comments! Tech and the manager on duty were rude! The tech signing in and the tech that processed the payment were very nice! Was told about 45 minutes and reality was over 2 hours! Wrote to corporate and received response that someone would contact me in 3 business days... 8 days and still no response! I refuse to let them touch my car ever again!! read more

At the tire and lube express waiting for the manager. Which I hope don't take as long as the oil change. Which by the way, with 4 cars in front of me has taken 3 hours. Kudos to the one tech that is probably grossly underpayed, trying to get it done. She by the way needs a raise. Haven't come here in a while for this reason, and I won't be back. They charged me for balancing my tires when I had them put on 4 new tires that I had purchased from Walmart.com I left the store and the next day I was told, at a tire shop that the tires had not been balanced. I called Walmart and they told me that they were very sorry, that they were out of stock of the sticky weights and could not put them on!!! They never told me that until I found out that they had cheated me. In addition I have to travel far from where I live to this store to get them to balance the tires again. The person who worked on my tires was a female called Shemira. It is clear there is no oversight and no one checks on the cars before they are released. read more
