Mr. Lee S. Thank you for responding to my Yelp review re Firestone, Odenton. I had a dreadful experience with David Barbarito, found out his last name on a bill, who treated me in a condensing, disrespectful manner not to mention misrepresenting himself with a false charge$357. On 2/2/26 I went into Firestone located at 1492 Annapolis Rd., Odenton Md. 21113 with a problem with my EVAC system. On that date I was charged $2012.00. I waited SIX hours while they completed the job. The area manager that day was Mr. Lerman, who informed me that the EVAC problem was fixed and "you are good to go." He was professional and courteous. I thanked him and left. On Monday 2/23/26 the evac check engine light came on AGAIN and I went back to Firestone on that day, spoke with Dave Barbarito, who introduced himself as a "visiting manager" as Ms. Roche, Manager was on vacation for the week and would return on Monday 3/2/26. Please note that Dave would not give me an agent ID or ANYTHING to identify himself. It was at this point that I noticed his condescending, misogynistic attitude. When I came back "Sam" told me that "only" the tech that originally attempted to fix it would repair my EVAC, there was no one else to do so. I was concerned because he did not repair my 1014 Jeep Cherokee initially and was assigned to "fix repair" again. When asked for his name, that originally did the job incorrectly, Sam would not provide me with his name. This was the first time I contacted Corp and was given a case #2954674. Later that day, I called again spoke to Mr. Lerman who stated that Mr. Tek (sp?) who was the original mechanic's supervisor and he would "fix the error" and to come in on Monday 2/23/26 @ 9:00 AM. My appointment on 2/23/26 at 9:00 AM for "Mr. Tek" to handle the repair. On 2/23/26, Mr "Tek" was 1 1/2 hours late for work and Dave refused to contact him and see what the problem was and I was told to "sit there and wait for him or leave" would not give me an ETA . I waited for 1 1/2 hours for Tek to arrive and I told Dave that I'd like to speak to him, when he did come on and was told by Dave, that "that won't happen, but feel free to sit and wait "endlessly". Was irritated that Sam gave me a false statement stating only the one/original mechanic could fix it. I was also told 3x that Mr. Dwight, Regional mgt would contact me and HAS NOT EVEN ATTEMPTED TO DO SO. When I came in on 2/23/25, Dave was irritated that I had found out about Mr. Tek and it was obvious the way he treated me. On 3/23/26 I waited FIVE hours and at the end of the day was told that there was NO PROBLEM with the EVAC (even though the code came up again) however Dave did diagnostics, and "discovered that" my catalytic convertor, left side was bad AND the right side "looked like it was headed the same way and "needed replacement" handing me a bill for $4300. I was taken aback by this and Dave immediately lowered the price to $4000, stating "I am your friend and will take care of this for you." PLEASE note that during the FIVE hours that I waited the EVAC system error WAS NEVER LOOKED, nor fixed and was told that system was fine. I left and immediately went to my private mechanic, Manny and Son's who ordered/installed a "PURGE VALVE" for $161, see attachment. When I came back to Firestone on Wednesday 3/25/25 Dave told me, once again in a condescending, misogynistic voice that "I told you Monday 3/23/26 that you needed a purge valve and had to order it "free of charge and stall it." FALSE STATMENT, Dave NEVER mentioned a Purge Valve and that he needed to order and install for no charge. I was amazed and said to him, "why would I go to my mechanic and pay for a purge valve and pay to have it installed if you had told me that?" He had no answer. I brought in for battery replacement, I added oil change and tire rotation. So I pick up and none of the tires had the recommended pressure. One was off 10 psi! So I know they overlooked at least on thing they say the inspected. I'm now worried they overlooked more items. I would not recommend anyone drop your car here for service. read more

Today I had an appointment for an oil change and tire rotation, and as a courtesy a once over. Katie was great, she got me checked right in and was asking for my keys when I came in the door, while Angela was helping another customer. both our vehicles were pulled in quickly and work began immediately. While waiting a few customers arrived and were greeted with care and compassion. They mentioned being repeat customers and mentioned how great the staff was also, Devin was my technician and he went above and beyond to ensure my car had the best care. I needed to buy a new tire and get them changed on my car ASAP after I had a tire unexpectedly pop. Mark was absolutely amazing at helping me call all the other stores nearby to find a tire that would fit my car and was as close as possible. He asked the closest other store to save their last tire that was the correct size for my car, and I drove there right away. I had an appointment at 1 for an oil change. Car wasn't moved until 115. I was told that in about an hour someone would give me an update. Two hours passed before the manager asked what vehicle I was waiting for. No updated still. The guy who took my information was just starting at me I told him I had been here for 2 hours now and finally was given an update that my wiper was loose and that they were waiting for an oil filter to arrive. 2 hours and 40 mins later I got my vehicle back. $140 read more

Took my car in for an oil change they stated I need a new battery I'm like no I don't I just purchased a battery well our inspection states it's low . Got that done Go again for oil change CV AXlE needs to be repaired got that fixed got home hearing noise waited a couple of days figured it just got fixed maybe that's the reason take it back to Firestone now it's the differential so they test drive says no noise so they drained the fluid got in car to drive no back up camera no music no lights on dashboard. Mr Jessie did check to see what the issue was he took my car came back dashboard on camera on . These people are beyond incompetent. I suffered with them for years. One time, I brought in a Hyundai Sonata for a strut replacement and they let the car drive out with the wheel bearing grinding. I brought it back. Upon picking it up, the problem was worse. They ended up replacing both struts and bearings for free due to their inability to do (relatively simple), routine maintenance. My latest fiasco was I blew a tire. I figured it was safe for them to put 4 tires on. I was SO VERY wrong. My first indication of disaster was the "untrained kid" walking into the waiting room w/an electric impact gun and what was left of my wheel lock. I typically love Firestone, but not this time due to horrible communication, and it took them two days to diagnose the noise, which was why I brought it in. I made an appointment for 11 AM on 10/18. I was hearing noise when I was turning, and I brought my Infinity QX60 in to get it looked at to see what was causing the noise. I didn't hear anything all day with any updates. I had to call the store around 6:06 PM to get an update... they admitted that they didn't get to it and will have to look at it tomorrow. The following day, the morning went by, and I hadn't heard back. I had to reach out again to check the status of my vehicle at 12:25 p.m. and again at 3:26 p.m. They still didn't have an update, or it was in the shop, and they were "looking at it." Once again, no work has been done; they were to diagnose the problem. I spoke to an Area Manager who happened to be in the store; he apologized and acknowledged that it was unacceptable. The communication was poor and unacceptable, I had to make arrangements to work at home, which was a big inconvenience. I will also leave a review on Yelp and Google, it was not enough. read more

I needed four new tires for my SUV. It has been 5 years so I figured it was due. I have been to firestone in the past with my last vehicle. I called and scheduled an appointment for a Saturday at 10am. I also wanted it to include an alignment. They worked out a deal with me which I appreciate but I didn't like the fact that I had a 10am appointment and my car sat outside for 2 hours. What's the purpose of having an appointment if you're car is still sitting. I called around 12:15 and asked when will they be getting to my car and I was told I was next. Hmmmm wonder if I would have been next if I didn't call.? Well they didn't finish with my car until 04:30. Wow so much for having an appointment. I did spend over $900.00 but I got the Ecopia tires which are the top of the line and I added on a lifetime warranty for the tires so I guess that wasn't to bad of a deal. They did knock off $200.00. Also did you know that if you apply for the firestone credit card you get an additional $50.00 credit taken off your bill rather you are pre- approved or not. So why not give it a try. You can't lose and everyone could appreciate a discount right? I applied and was approved and was able to use my card immediately. So I did appreciate that. Now all they have to do is stick to the scheduled appointment time or at least close to it and we will get along fine. So I highly recommend getting your car serviced during the week if it's possible. I'm pretty sure it would be less of a wait. Or at least I hope so. read more

Had a great experience here with the mechanic Chris. I had no clue what was going on with my Mini Cooper and he was able to diagnose and replace within 2 days. Most of that turn around was him taking the time to find a part (dealership wanted $8k) for less than half of that price! I definitely appreciated the time and energy he spent making my car right again. If I have any other issues, I'll be back here again now that I've found a mechanic that I know and trust. read more

I had taken a tire somewhere else to get fixed and they told me they couldn't, so I tried doing it myself and made the problem worse - including completely messing up the tire valve. I called this Firestone and asked if they could just replace the valve on the tire (trying to get it back to semi-working condition) and they took me same-day and fixed the valve, repaired the "unfixable" flat, and all at a reasonable price. I came in for an oil change and left with more problems than I came in with. I told them exactly what I needed done, just an oil change, nothing else. They proceeded, without my knowledge or consent, to do a full inspection on my car which they charged me for. They took all my tires off and poked around my car to find anything and everything they could possibly charge me to fix or replace. I went in for an oil change and they were trying to convince me to receive around $4300 in other services. They broke off one of my hubcaps (then gaslit me about it) and my tires are now unbalanced and loud. I now have to go to another shop to fix these things. they also told me the wait would be an hour and I waited for 2 and a half hours while getting creeped on by an old man in the lobby. This WAS my go to location until recently.. There has been a change in store management and you can tell! The last time I went in for my routine (oil change, tire rotation and balance) I questioned if they did anything.. When I handed over my car I was rung up for the wrong oil change, when I corrected them they still has me sign the form with the incorrect price. When I received my car back the change oil indicator wasn't reset, they left trash in my car and the sticker wasn't changed.. I had to call someone out to fix things then they asked ME which oil change they did.. I wouldn't have thought anything of it but my change oil indicator came back on way before it should have! I'll still give these guys three stars because they are pretty nice and pleasant to talk to but man they need to get it together.. I made an appointment at 7a to get my tires replaced. When I got in they realized someone gave my tires away. Therefore, they were not able to start right away on my job. They did discount me a 50% off service on my engine coolant to be replaced which I appreciated. They had my car all day I didn't get the call that it was ready until 630pm. I was told it was going to take an hour prior to dropping it off and confirmed. No call 5 hours later so I called thinking they forgot. I was told to pick it up close to 7. The clerk hung up on me when I said I wanted my car back telling me I should just do It myself. I'll go take an Uber to pick my car up. I'm out two Uber rides. Bad service and rude. I was completely satisfied with the time it took to complete the lengthy list of repairs on my car and while the bill was high, the prices were fair. The Manager took the time to locate as many coupons and rebates that would help bring down the cost saving me nearly $500. The technician who was assigned to my vehicle stayed late into the night to complete the repairs so that I could pick up my car on time. The initial phone call with the "these are the things you asked us to look at, this is what needs to be right now on this list, this is what can wait a few months" information helped a great deal so I could budge for the repairs. I and my entire family have been going to various Firestones for years, and I have to say, this is the worst firestone/car service place I have been to in my entire life. I came in for a state inspection and the guy at the desk, I think his name is William according to my receipt, was absolutely rude and should not be working there because he clearly hates customers. He gave me a paper to sign before the inspection that stated the cost of the inspection. When I asked him what the price would be if something failed and I had to get my car reinspected, he said "We will see after you fail". After my inspection was complete, they said my brand new car (8 months old) failed inspection because my rear tire had a nail in it. I agreed to let them put a new tire so that I can pass the inspection. I asked him to see the tire with the nail, and he got very offensive and told me "Why, we already switched the tires". Then he brought out the tire, which had a brand new long nail hammered straight through my sidewall with the other side sticking out through the tire. I had zero air pressure issues before arriving for the inspection and you could tell it was probably done purposely to make money because a brand new car would not have anything else to fail. I asked him what the new tire price was before they put the tire on, he said $73. Then when the tire was on and time to pay, he said "Oh my bad, the tire is actually $83". Then he told me the final bill, which went from an estimated 140$ to over $210. He was ready for me to pay and insert my card without even showing me what the chargers were. So I asked him to see a breakdown of the charges and he got very offensive about it. There were a couple things on the breakdown that seemed tacked on, and I asked him what one of the things were and he said "I don't know, I think it relates to this other part". This guy has no idea what he was doing. They also refused to rotate my tires. The last and final piece that really topped off this guy's poor customer experience was when I saw my inspection report. The first inspection report was a fail and had my name horribly spelt wrong and a wrong old address from out of state. I asked him to fix it before they did the new report that goes to MVA saying I passed the inspection. His reply was "Why, it doesn't matter?". So now I have a half correct inspection report sent to the MVA. The MVA will be getting a complaint as well about this center and their ability to hold their inspection license. Overall, I am very dissapointed. I have been to firestones for a long time with several cars and this was the first horrible experience I have ever had. I already told all of my friends, coworkers, and neighbors to never come here. Go to the Firestone in glen burnie on ritchie high way. Had an appointment because I couldn't leave my car overnight. It was the only time I had available to get the vehicle serviced. They kept the car all day and never called me to picked it up. I showed up an hour before close and they never even started it. Also never notified me that it would be late. I called ahead for a tire repair and was told it would take about an hour to a hour and half which was fine as most other places I called were booked for the day. Their pricing was reasonable compared to the others I had called. They patched my tire within the expected time frame and indicated everything looked great from their courtesy inspection. I appreciate their honesty and efficient service. I cannot count how many times I've gone in for a simple service where various shops have tried to up sell me on various services which weren't needed. Called on a Friday afternoon to see if I could come in that evening for an oil change. I was able to get one scheduled for 5:30 that same evening. My oil change didn't take more than 30-40 minutes. When it was time to pay, I went to pull up a coupon online and the gentleman that worked there had already included the discounts for me on my bill. If there was an option for 0 stars I would have selected it. Would never bring my vehicle back to this location. They damaged my vehicle while lifting it. Once I complained about what happened it was a pain dealing with the service manager David. I asked for a cooperate phone number and he told me "we do not have a cooperate phone number". Now I am in the process of getting the vehicle repaired, they are offering to fix it but it must be with who they want to fix it. Which is unfair because if the work is completed by someone other than my dealer...the new part won't be covered under my 100,000 mile warranty.
